Great location in downtown Aspen with good hotel level services.
6.0 / 10.0
No issues booking with the unit owner, would recommend them. The property has an outstanding location extremely close to Ajax base and Aspen Village.
However, they lack in delivering the value of what the cost is to stay here. I personally paid about $900/nt plus a $40/nt resort and valet fees. The valet fees are consistent within the industry, but the resort fees I have an issue with. These fees cover the cost of amenities which include but are not limited to Wi-Fi, fitness center, meals, and recreation. During my 4 night stay, 1 of the 2 jacuzzis was completely closed, and the other was not operating properly (only 2 jets were working) which led to overcrowding. Also, the fire pit on property was not working which was another disappointment. Long story long, I felt taken advantage of a bit when I took into consideration that the property ‘double dips’ into the resort fees with their nightly guests coupled with the annual maintenance dues charged to the resort unit owners (which should cover the costs of maintaining the property’s amenities).
The unit itself was underwhelming, outdated with its furnishings, a very awkward bath/shower setup (we had to literally climb over a 2’ tall by 3’ wide barricade to get into bath area), and no view/balcony/patio area to speak of. Housekeeping was very good and the onsite courtesy vehicle was very convenient and appreciated. The staff at the on site ski valet were also excellent and highly appreciated.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this spectacular rental property in Aspen and it exceeded all of my expectations! Nestled in the heart of the picturesque Rocky Mountains, this luxurious retreat provided the perfect blend of serenity, comfort, and convenience for my family and me.

This was a great experience. The staff are personable, helpful to guests and they have true hospitality values for their residents as well. It’s directly across from the free transit station and airport transfer is included so wonderful accessibility. It’s clean and safe and met all of my travel needs.

We had a wonderful stay here. This is the absolute best location in Aspen. The property is well managed, valet parking very convenient, etc. The room was big and very comfortable. The only thing missing is that the room could have used a comfortable sitting chair since there is plenty of room. It does have a sitting table and two wood chairs, but a reading chait would have been great. The property is a little 80s/90s dated, but it's beautiful, great hot tubs, good free breakfast, cozy reading/TV room, etc. I would absolutely stay here again. It's primo.

This is the nicest VRBO I’ve ever stayed in. This is not a someone’s-condo-rental experience. Rather this truly feels like an upscale resort/hotel.
My husband and I did a last minute 4 night trip to Aspen. It was not only our first kid-free trip but our first trip to Aspen. (And we will be back!) I have lots of wonderful things to say about Aspen and Snowmass in general but will restrain myself to just gushing about the accommodations.
Our first interaction with this property was when I sent an inquiry via VRBO. Tami was responsive, communicative, and helpful—allowing us to book the shorter trip as we were less than a week out. She put us in contact with Lynsay the concierge who was also very helpful and responsive—listening to my preferences and then booking dinner reservations and airport transfers for us seamlessly. When we arrived at the Aspen airport we were quickly met by Max one of the property’s drivers—he was pleasant and friendly and getting from the airport to the property was seamless. (I wish we could remember all the other driver’s names, Zoey and Allan also gave us rides this week as did a few others—they are all professional and friendly!)
The building is stylish, the front desk is helpful and friendly, the continental breakfast was ample and delicious (fruit, bagels, pastries, coffee, juice, yogurts, cereal). There is a rental shop right in the building. The property is not even a full block to the Aspen gondala and we skied Aspen our first day. The second and third day we skied at Snowmass—it is about a 15-20 minute drive to snowmass but extremely easy. We were driven to/from Snowmass in the property’s shuttle. Pleasant, seamless, easy.
The hotel is clean and luxurious. The bedding feels very high quality. The hot tub was divine. We even used the workout room while there (my husband worked out but I only used a roller to roll out my skiing-sore legs); it’s well equipped and clean.
Highly highly recommend. We will be back!

We had a wonderful stay! The location is at the base of Aspen Mountain and cannot be beat! The property also offered a shuttle to/from the Aspen airport and to the other ski mountains which was super convenient. Walkable to everything in town.
Tami was also amazing to book with and she was super responsive. Our flight home was cancelled due to the FAA issue and weather in the area and Tami worked with us to get us a room for an additional day (which was not easy!). We appreciated all of her help and her responsiveness during a very stressful day! I'd definitely recommend renting though Tami.

Wonderful location, staff and accommodations
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience at the Aspen Mountain Residences.. It sits at the base of Aspen Mountain in the town itself and is ski in/out (short 1 block walk to gondola) with walking access to everything the town has to offer.. The room was clean, spacious and cozy with small kitchenette and fireplace. Cleaning staff were reliable and did a nice job. It’s off on its own in a little alcove area at the end of a hall so it’s very private and quiet. The only very minor caveat is the balcony was slightly below ground level with a cement half wall so a bit darker with no view, but we honestly didn’t care - we spent so little time in the room and all the many other upsides significantly outweighed this. But if you have someone who is not active and spending a lot of time in the room then not having an airy balcony with views may disappoint. Great hot tub and pool area, nice included breakfast in morning with a fun bar at night. I can’t say enough great things about the staff - from the entire team in the ski shop who took such great care of,our gear and us each day to concierge extraordinaire Lindsey who was so patched in and set us up with many wonderful dinners, concert tickets, and ski lessons. Desk staff and bellhops also were very friendly and accommodating. Easy to get to the other 3 Aspen mountains too - Highlands, Snowmass, Buttermilk, via free public buses you can board in your ski boots, with racks for skis. They run frequently and are only steps away from the Aspen Residences. If you want spa services the St Regis is right next store and easy to book. Renting on VRBO was a breeze - the Property Mgr was very responsive and all went completely smoothly. And for Aspen and all that this accommodation had to offer, we felt it was very good value without compromising luxury. We expect to return to Aspen again and definitely will stay here. Thanks again to all involved at the resort and VRBO for making our vacation great!

Wedding weekend in Aspen
In town for a friends wedding, my husband and I stayed here and it was great. Location was perfect, shuttle driver was so informative and easy to use. Room was nice and clean, great balcony with beautiful Aspen trees looking up the mountain. My husband even did his yoga on the balcony every morning. Only complaint would be the pillows are too fluffy, but if we would have asked for firmer ones they probably would have had them. The staff was so lovely.

I own a property down valley in Basalt. It happened to be rented and I wanted to come hike, bike and dine for a few get away days. I highly recommend this property and unit. The staff and the rental firm are excellent. Nice, safe choice you will not regret.

Perfect in every way. We cannot wait to return. I will just be sure and get travel insurance in hurricane season! I lost two paid nights due to flight cancelations from hurricane Ida.

Great Location!
We traveled to the Hyatt Grand Aspen for a week long vacation in July 2021. The location is fantastic! The staff helped me set up transportation and a couple of dinner reservations before we arrived. We could roll out of bed every morning and be at the nearby JUS spot and Starbucks in just a few minutes then head to the park to watch all the fun. The park is across the street and is alive with activity throughout the days in the summer. Staff was helpful and the room was perfect. We will be back!

Perfect place to stay! The people in the hotel are super nice and the place is very comfortable
I came with my brother for a ski trip and we were a bit confused about the dates that we would stay in Aspen and the property manager was super kind and understanding about a mistake I made with the dates. It was a nice and comfortable experience to have the rental place for the ski equipment next to the place and the gondola is also walking distance. Basically ski in ski out

Perfect Spot in Aspen
This property is located right at the base of Aspen Mountain. We were there in the fall so did not ski but enjoyed being right next to the mountain yet also close to great shops and restaurants. Place was clean and well-equipped, perfect for an extended weekend getaway for me and my wife.

This is a great property with fantastic location. It’s rustic design still holds up and feels clean and comfy in every corner. The bed is super comfortable and the small kitchenette is perfect for solo travelers or a couple.
The booking agent, Tami, has been more than wonderful and and her fast and direct communication has made everything so simple. I will definitely return to the Hyatt every time I’m in Aspen.

Great On-Mountain Experience
A great property right in the heart of Aspen, a few doors down from the Little Nell. All staff was friendly and the property was in great condition. There was no restaurant or bar, but the pool, fitness center and other amenities were proper. This trip, my room also had a Jacuzzi on the balcony which was a bonus.

Cozy in Aspen
Hyatt Grand Aspen Residence is owned by individuals yet managed by a capable staff of the Hyatt. The cozy studio we rented was very comfortable. A king bed dressed in warm linens and quilts with a fireplace and TV/DVD provided entertainment and comfort. Adjacent to the bed, outside sliding glass doors, was a private patio and hot tub to treat the ski day's tired muscles. The unit had a small refrigerator, microwave, and sink in a convenient kitchenette along the narrow hallway leading to the bedroom. The bath was well appointed with 2 sinks, a soaking tub, and a second room, separated by a sliding door, with shower and toilet. Linens were posh hotel style and L'Occitane shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion completed the setting. The main closet inside the entry door was a perfect place to stash luggage and clothes, however, space is limited. The residence offers a very nice welcoming breakfast each morning. Ski rentals and ski storage are available on the first floor and a shuttle service is available on a first-come-first-served basis to all the nearby ski resorts. The location couldn't be better, close to wonderful restaurants, entertainment, and skiing! I highly recommend this to a couple looking for a ski-in-ski-out vacation.
