Most places you want to go to in DC won't have parking when you get there. 24/7 street parking near this property is possible with a street parking pass, which can be obtained from the DC DMV with a copy of a lease and vehicle information. It costs around $250 for a six month pass. Free street parking with no pass needed is free and open to all every night, all weekend, and two hours each weekday. We have about five offstreet parking spaces in the immediate area. We rent them from neighbors. IF a paid space is available they usually go for $300 a month. Union Station parking garage is five blocks away and can do monthly rentals including oversize vehicles for around $300 a month.

This is a Capitol Hill Stay property. Capitol Hill Stay is a veteran-owned small business with 24 properties on Capitol Hill. We have been providing furnished lodging on Capitol Hill since 1996. We use excellent cleaners and pay them a living wage (they are best in DC if you ask me). And we have a professional full time property manager. If this property doesn't work for you or isn't available for the dates you need please reach out to us and let us know and we can see if we can find a property that does work for you. You can also swap from one of our properties to another as available if needed. Additionally you can see all of our Airbnb listings at our Airbnb host profile page.
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK ABOUT PRICING. We have been a primarily longer term housing provider for 25 years but pricing on Airbnb is very hard to communicate and set, as it's impossible to know the dates and circumstances of every possible guest's needs in advance when we set pricing. Pricing may vary significantly depending on length of stay, specific dates, etc. For longer term stays there may be discounts possible.
Guests have complete access and privacy. NOT a shared space
Detailed Welcome Letter. As much interaction as needed.

A word about rates:
Since every booking is different the rates listed are an approximation. Rates are based on length of stay, specific dates needed, amenities requested, etc. Bookings less than 91 days are subject to the DC lodging tax of 15.95%. SINCE EVERY INQUIRY IS DIFFERENT AND THE BIGGEST FACTOR IN PRICE IS THE SPECIFIC DATES CHOSEN AND LENGTH OF STAY RATES MAY BE HIGHER OR LOWER THAN WHAT IS POSTED. PLEASE INQUIRE SO WE CAN DISCUSS PRIOR TO SENDING A BOOKING REQUEST.
Fall and winter months are very high demand, moreso this year than ever before as this is the first year that many federal agencies and private employers are bringing people back to DC, and they are making up for lost productivity during Covid.
And of course it's a presidential election year.
Most furnished housing providers in DC will only take bookings for three months or longer during these months. We will do less, but the rates do go up. And generally we try to match an incoming booking with an apartment that is available within a week or so of the requested date. For instance if you are seeking a month rental beginning July 1 we would want to match your request with a property available in very late June or July 1. If the property you inquired about seems to have an availability date that may not match up then you can always check HERE see all properties and their available dates.
Our average booking is around four to six months. We are primarily a longer term lodging provider. We can do shorter, but in the furnished housing business rates go up for shorter stays.
Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any questions.

A Hidden gem in Capitol Hill!
We loved our stay on Millers Ct. the town house is just as advertised and even cuter in person. Loved our little outdoor space and high end touches inside. We came to see the monuments with our 2 sons, but enjoyed the neighborhood just as much! Safe and quaint! We rode our bikes to all attractions in DC and many in walking distance. We enjoyed walking 3 short blocks to the Capitol or 3 blocks south for dinner at The Hawk and Dove. Also love walking to Eastern Market Saturday morning and had great proximity to the Navy yard waterfront area. Thank you Brian and Luis.. we will be back!!

Perfect for our family at a great price
This was just what our family of 3 needed for a few days of sightseeing. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, easy to come and go using a ride-sharing service. There is a close-by market and it's a short walk to lots of restaurants. Everything was in great shape. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends!

THE BEST
Every morning as soon as we walked out of the alleyway and onto E. Capitol St, I started off my morning by saying I can't believe how awesome the location of this apartment is! The very first thing you see before your eyes two blocks ahead of you is the Capitol!!! I don't even think there is any hotel that is available closer to the Capitol then this apartment is. A short walk away is Starbucks. On your way to the Capitol you will also pass the Supreme Court and the Library of Congress. Five minutes in another direction and to the right of the Capitol and you will arrive at the three Senate buildings which is really fun to explore because there are lots of opportunities to see Senators. 10-15 minutes to the left of the capital you will find the House buildings. Arrange with your member of Congress to get a tour. We had to take a taxi to the White House because it would have been probably at least an hour walk and it was 95° out. When you walk into the apartment there is a small living room with a tv and beyond that is a small eat in kitchen and after that was a cute tiny outdoor patio. It was very exciting watching CNN in the living room and if we saw something exciting happening at the Capitol, we could run right over and be there in five minutes. Upstairs is a bedroom with a bathroom, except no TV. That's the one thing I would add but it was ok because I could watch tv on my phone. The apartment was PERFECT for my husband and I. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to DC . I have never written a review before and we have rented so many houses but the location of this one really took my breath away! It was cool staying on Capitol Hill where a lot of senators and congressmen live I felt like I was a part of them!

It was perfect for us!
Charming little getaway ideally located - a hundred feet out the door and you get an amazing street view of the Capitol! It had great historical appeal and was very quiet and cozy. The private little patio out back was a wonderful place to unwind after a busy day of touring or for sitting around having morning coffee. The place is within walking distance of restaurants, bars, and convenience stores. A bike-share station was less than a block away. It was super easy to get around. We would definitely stay here again.
Brian (and staff) were very informative and responsive and made our rental experience quick and easy.

Excellent stay at the Miller Carriage House!
Our Thanksgiving weekend at the Miller carriage house was a perfect home away from home. All the conveniences of home provided, clean and comfortable! Great walking/biking neighborhood and very close to enjoy our nations Capitol. Brian was extremely helpful and responded quickly to questions and small parking issue. Another excellent experience with Home Away!

A fine stay
Property was very nice. Very clean. Owner was very responsive. Photos on website are quite stretched to give impression of much more space. But,for me it wasn't a problem. I knew that a carriage house on Capitol Hill would be tiny. It's a great alternative to a hotel in the same area. A few staples in the kitchen would be greatly helpful, but I understand this unit is kept totally clean and empty. I absolutely appreciate that. Just bring your own sugar, salt, pepper, etc for a short stay. Ultimately, don't hesitate to book.

Kathleen
My daughter and I spent a long weekend in DC and we had a wonderful stay in the carriage house. The house and neighborhood were perfect. The house was lovely, clean and stocked with everything we needed. The neighborhood is very quaint and in walking distance to all the major sights. Having off street parking was very helpful. I would highly recommend this location and will definitely stay again.

Great location, exceptionally well maintained, and an incredibly responsive owner
I was in DC for two nights for a conference and found my stay just delightful. The Capitol Hill neighborhood is a hidden gem - quaint tree-lined streets, historic buildings and architecture, and wonderful dining just blocks away. The carriage house itself is nestled in a small court where it gets great light, has a cozy back patio, and in furnished in a classic style of elegance. I even chose to make myself breakfast one morning and it was a breeze with a fully equipped kitchen. Brian the owner took extra care to ensure I had everything I need, but was never intrusive. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

Our Washington, DC stay
Our experience with our stay in Capitolhilstay's carriage house was superb. The facility was immaculate and provided all the amenities we needed. It was in a great location for our trip to Washington, DC , including off-street parking right at out door. We were able to enjoy nearby attractions. the Capitol, the White House, the Supreme Court, and a wide variety of great restaurants. The owners could not have been more attentive to our needs.
