Duncan's Tropical Beach Bungalow is one of a kind in Southwest Florida. Perfect for a honeymoon, anniversary, or, romantic getaway. Complete privacy...Clothing Optional...The ' Bungalow ' has the feel of the islands with solid yellow pine and Mexican tile floors, high endj West Indies style furnishings, Florida shutters, crown molding in every room, gourmet kitchen...even an outdoor shower adjacent to the master bath for a unique shower under the stars.
French doors open onto a literal 'jungle' of palms (over 170) and bananas, two sandy beaches bordering the pool. Wriggle your feet in the sand, take a dip in the oversize solar heated pool, or, take a nap . The vegetation is so dense, you can skinny dip in complete privacy. You would never guess you were surrounded by civilization.

Located in the historic McGregor Blvd. district of Fort Myers, Duncan's Tropical Beach Bungalow is conveniently located to our famous beaches, Fort Myers Beach and Sanibel/Captiva Islands, about 20-25 minutes; Regional SW Int'l airport is 25 minutes away.
We opened our 'paradise retreat' to guests in 2008. One half of our guests have returned 2 and three times...One couple recently returned for their 7th visit...pretty much says it all!
We realize that our prices are substantially below market for similar properties, (if you could find one) ...we also suspect that once you experience our lifestyle, you will be back!

We had a great time spending the week at the bungalow! The backyard is beautiful and very private. The pool is great and lots of places to sit and enjoy the outdoors. Even in the August heat, we spent a lot of time outside. The house is very comfortable.
As hurricane Idalia formed in the gulf and moved north, Duncan and his daughter communicated with us, letting us know the hurricane's path and if we needed to be concerned or not. We felt very well taken care of, especially for those days as the hurricane formed and moved past the area (fortunately far to the west).
Duncan is a great communicator, proactively reaching out and quickly answering all questions.
We highly recommend the bungalow for a couple's getaway!

We really enjoyed our 2 week stay at the Bungalow. The pool was lovely and private. Everything youd need in yhe kitchen is supplied. Owner is very nice and accommodating. The home is in a safe, clean neighborhood that is close to everything!!! Will definitely stay here again!

Everything was as advertised! Duncan was great with communication, and answered any any questions we had! The bungalow is a true oasis, and we enjoyed relaxing in pool and sitting outside having coffee and cocktails. Our two little dogs loved exploring in the yard as well. I highly recommend!

Not Paradise
It started bad right off the get go. Neighbors life on top of each other. Booming LOUD music started at 10am and got louder as the day goes. We’re forced inside before dark. Next two days were the same. Chickens on the other side. Allen was quick to try and help but the police came to the door. Next day music neighbors shot fireworks at us and the Raines down on us in the pool. We had reservations for two weeks but day three we left. Allen got us a refund but then accused us of destroying the house and claiming our dog saturated his carpet. He even threatened us that he would make sure we would never rent again anywhere.
Don’t go here. It’s not Paradise at all. Worse vacation EVER!

Cozy Bungalow
The Bungalow is very cozy and comfy inside and very beautiful outside. We stayed for six weeks and were disappointed we had to leave as well as our dog who was in heaven as she had free access to the backyard.
Any maintenance problems were addressed immediately by Duncan.
Also the place was very convenient to a number of good restaurants.
We will miss Duncan!

The property is private, clean, and comfortable. Communication with the owners was easy and they were very responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful backyard/pool. Will definitely stay there again, given the opportunity.

Private Get-Away!
We stayed for a week at Duncan's bungalow with our dog and all three of us very much enjoyed our stay. The backyard oasis is the high point of the home as we felt as if we were the only people in the area. The neighborhood is quiet, clean, and safe and there are plenty of stores and restaurants to choose from for meals. The drive to Sanibel was easy meaning we had a daily choice between a private pool and a world-class beach. We hope to stay here again in the future although generally, it's definitely a trip you'll need to plan in advance - the place is literally booked solid halfway through the summer! Thanks, Duncan!

We met Duncan whom I enjoyed sharing stories together and was a pleasure meeting him. If you want a little slice of heaven, then stay at the bungalow for it is better than described. Very cozy place in a nice neighborhood. Close to all in Fort Myers. The house is very clean and the patio with the pool is perfect when you return from the beach to relax and have a cocktails. We enjoy the stay and planning to return again.

Paradise inside and out for my husband, me, and our pups!
My husband, three pups, and I had the best experience staying at this bungalow! It’s perfectly located - 10 minutes to downtown, 15 minutes to the beach. The house had everything we needed. We felt right at home - if our home was a resort! Just stepping into the bungalow all of our stress disappeared. Then walking into the backyard was like walking on our private beach. We never wanted to leave! Checking in/checking out and communicating with Duncan was so easy and he was very quick to reply to all of our questions before we arrived. This was our first VRBO experience and it has set the bar extremely high.

The bungalow was fantastic. TUE backyard and pool are huge and the best part you don't have to share it. We had coffee everymorning under the covered patio. The house is spacious and plenty of room for my husband and I and two teen boys. Can't wait until next year!!

The bungalow is comfy, clean, and has anything you could need, even sunscreen. The neighborhood is upscale and quiet.
The pool is awesome, large, clean and a nice temp.
The back yard is great, a private jungle. You can't see the neighbors any direction you look, and the sandy Beach spots by the pool are nice to relax, have a drink and get some sun.
Communication was great and check in-ckeck out was very slick and easy.
