All the reviews say the place is dated. And it is. But will you be living here? Its a great place especially for the price. Would definitely come again!

The Location was Perfect !!! 300 plus Vendors , all together in Breckenridge was Great, Eat , Shop , Massage , Shop , Eat , Dance , Drink - all Day - into the Night / Morning. Great Scenery , Great Atmosphere.

My family and I absolutely loved our stay. First off, the price is very reasonable. I love vintage and that home is definitely it. Every basic home necessity was made available for us. The river that runs across at the bottom of the backyard was amazing. Mr. Powers provided great information about the house and town. I mentioned to him that my husband and I were hiking our first 14er and he gave us advice on that. The town itself is very charming. We are from El Paso,Texas and have never seen anything like it. We would definitely go back again.

Easy communication with owner. Had an issue with water on the carpet and owner responded quickly. Liked the location and easy access to bus.

This is our favorite place to stay! We stay here several times every year. Rick’s place is like being at home. The kitchen has all amenities you need along with extras like spices, sugar flour etc. no waste happening here. The new couch is a great addition. Bathrooms are equipped with plenty of towels and toiletries. Love having the washer dryer to clean ski masks after each day. The house is definitely 70-80s decore. It is very clean and well maintained. We love that Rick is able to share his home away from home with us. Thanks.

It's a basic location but serves the purpose well. Comfortable, cozy and simple. It's value for your money, especially for a group spending most of their time on the mountain or in the town center.

Retro is always a thing: people crave nostalgia. Folks like me that grew up in the 70's and 80's will recognize most of this stay as a time capsule of the wild days before corporate ski passes - people in brown, yellow and orange jumpsuits riding pointy wooden 45mm sticks with aluminum poles. I wouldn't say it's retro though - it's authentic.
I'm here for the outdoors, not worrying about granite this and porcelain that. I grew up on shag carpet and sheet paneling and avocado sinks. So if you're good with that, this is a fine stay with few modern frills - mainly because they weren't yet invented?
The bed I got was comfortable. Good shower, hot water. Dressers and closet space ok. Washer is an unkillable Kenmore tank with the dial-and-pull start - and it got out some stains I thought had ruined some clothes. Impressive job. Dryer was probably from this century.
Dishwasher was newer as well. Kitchen is well equipped, stove will heat your Spaghettio's. Fridge motor is struggling - sometimes sounds like you dropped it on a possum's tail. In the living space/hall there's a lot of cool historical posters.
Entertainment we never used, although of COURSE there's a VHS player (no Betamax??) to go with cable and DVD. On the downside, I'd say the bedroom CRT's could either be swapped out for small LCD's which one could get with S&H green stamps if they were still around, or just recover to closet space.
For me, French Creek fit the bill of old school sleep/eat/ski/repeat!

Enjoyed the location, views, bathroom towels, kitchen supplies, and good communication, but this home has some ancient bed linens, a VERY saggy bed in the primary bedroom, and old, old carpet in both bathrooms that makes me cringe. Another review that mentioned the saggy bed received a reply from the owner saying bed standards are “personal preference.” However, when 2 people in the bed constantly roll down into the middle valley of the bed, that is substandard. The comforter in the primary bedroom is rather crunchy, not something you want to snuggle with. An extra blanket we pulled down from the primary bedroom has ragged edges and multiple holes. But this place could be FANTASTIC if they spent a little money on it. The neighborhood is very quiet; the deck looking out at the slopes is AWESOME; the seating in the common area is nice; and the primary bathroom is very large (but, unfortunately, has the cringey carpet). We have stayed in 3 different Breckenridge VRBOs over

The house was incredible, everything you need is there. Located close to everything Breckenridge has to offer. Will definitely be back

Everything about this property was exactly what my family was anticipating. The location was ideal to downtown Breckenridge and surrounding area

Great place - clean, roomy, well stocked

I will agree with past reviews that the house is a bit dated. That said, if you are looking for a solid place to jam in the vertical this is your place. The house was stocked with all needed items and while we only utilized the kitchen for breakfast it was more than adequate for preparing meals. The views of Breck from the back deck = awesome. Great place to crash and prepare for lots of mountain time.

Everything was wonderful, for our annual Summit County weekend.
Good location, clean, had everthing we needed, including plenty of clean towels.

Our family of four stayed here in 2020 and returned this year to recreate and build new memories. We love this house especially sitting out back listening to the creek, looking at the mountains and having coffee, sharing a meal, playing games and stargazing.
The neighborhood is relaxed and gets us away from the bustle of Main Street but still so close to be there in minutes. Within walking distance of the Breck bike path and the free bus.
We can’t wait to return again!

The house is not big, but it has a very efficient and functional layout. It was very clean and well equipped. It has a convenient location and a very nice view. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

We are a group of friends that have been skiing together for 51 years and make annual visits to Summit County. The property was as expected, older, but a value. No complaints. Close proximity to Breck. Facility had comfortable beds, two bathrooms and a serviceable kitchen. All the things we needed were there. We were granted "quiet enjoyment" of the property during our stay. Thank you.
4.9
The house was just as advertised. Extremely clean inside with everything needed for our family of 5(2 adults, 3 kids). The gondola lot was only a mile or so up the road and also very close to everything in town. The view was amazing and grill worked great as well. I

We came to ski and visit with family. It was ideal for 6 of us over the weekend, with plenty of towels and space for socialising. The two bathrooms were a godsend, and there were a lot of extras provided. Rick was readily available for communication which was helpful when we needed directions to the Rec Centre. We really enjoyed our stay and think it is great value for money. Thank you for sharing your house with us.

Great location. Very clean. Rick was so easy to communicate with and very responsive in the planning process. He even recommended delicious restaurants! We were 5 adults and the house was perfect. Would highly recommend!!

This property was great for the price. We were there to attend a wedding and the house had everything we needed for our stay.

We often stay at this house. It is always immaculate, views are stunning, neighbors are friendly and quiet. Host is excellent with communication. The price makes this a true value.
4.9
The house is great value and the location is on the bus route close to town. It does get hot during sunny days in the summer, but with the windows open the house cools down at night.
The furniture isn’t new and the panelled walls make it a bit dreary. But what can you expect at this price?
We’ve stayed before and will probably do so again.

This was a perfect place for our family to stay. Close to downtown and a quiet neighborhood. Can't wait to go back!

Despite the fluctuating weather we were blessed with wonderful ski conditions and were able to ski Breck, Vail, and Keystone. Had we been just a bit more adventurous Beaver Creek would have made the list, but being that Breck was right there, we spent more time skiing those wonderful slopes. The house is written up exactly as it is and the pictures are also exactly what you get. The view off the deck it perfect as well. Rick was super communicative when necessary. We would have no issues renting this place again if we are fortunate enough to come back to Breckenridge in the future. Many thanks for sharing your home Rick.
