It is a nice cabin to stay at
1.0
The location is nice, with plenty of room for our group. However, when we arrived the bathroom sink wasn’t draining, and there was a terrible odor, almost as if there were dead mice somewhere. Guest Services advised us to use a plunger to fix the sink which helped, and created a ticket for the following day to address the odor. No one followed up the next day or contacted us again to address the issue. The smell was so bad we stayed out of the house as much as possible except when we needed it. It smelled like D-con mice bait had been used and mice had died somewhere hidden. Had the smell not been an issue, and had at least a courtesy amount of coffee been provided, we would have give the place a better rating.

This cabin is beautiful! It has all of the amenities we were looking for. Very quiet. We even saw a doe with her 2 babies in the morning.

The house was great, hot tub and fireplace really made the experience awesome.

It was a nice space for a small group and it was really nice that the kitchen was pretty well stocked. Only thing we didn’t find was a can opener. The hot tub was great! But the beds were all very firm and not the comfiest to sleep on. The tvs were also not very user friendly, it took some troubleshooting to get the living room tv to work and we didn’t really see an easy way to connect it to our devices (fire stick) but it did have cable and worked well once we figured it out.
Overall, we had a very good time here, would consider booking here again.

Loved the property but very difficult to find even with Google maps. The address number is not posted on the road and the access road says private indicating dont enter. We called the property manager for help locating it and got no help. But once we found it everything was as advertised and we had an amazing time

Crimson and Stone is a cozy cabin in a semi-secluded location down a private drive. I love the open concept living area and the upstairs loft and comfortable king size bed. It is well stocked with towels, dishes, utensils, hand-soap and shower products ( I love the Mrs. Meyers and ECO products). There is a new washer and dryer which works perfectly. It is great to be able to do laundry when necessary. I love the gas range and outside grill for cooking. The wireless works well and there is a television and DVD player upstairs and downstairs, which is wonderful if you want to watch something while sitting in bed. The cabin was very clean and check-in was easy. I will definitely stay here again.

Forest Hideaway
The home is spacious with decor that is forest themed. There is a real wood fireplace in the living room! The kitchen is well stocked in the bedrooms have lots of pillows and warm blankets. The hot tub was therapeutic and in a semi private space. Vacasa was very responsive to our requests. We will definitely consider staying there again.

Nice place but needs work
Real nice house and great location however, check before you reserve that everything is working. The cable tv, hot tub, and dryer did not work when we got there. Day 3 of 7 they came and fixed the cable. The dryer and hot tub needed parts or replacement. Nobody at Vacasa talks to anyone else about any communications that have happened. The cleaner when we were leaving was writing up the hot tub as not working and I had to explain that all of that had already been reported. I think a little maintenance would really help. Batteries in the remotes, garbage bags on the deck, deep clean the bathrooms, and maybe some new furniture would make it worth the price we paid. We had a lot of fun, but it sure would have been nicer to come home from the mountain to a hot tub!

So glad I read previous reviews…
As other reviews have mentioned, GPS does not take you to the cabin. Best advice is to turn left into the unmaintained dirt road that is immediately in front of a mailbox for “DALE.” This shared unmaintained road is not plowed or salted, is narrow with numerous potholes and overhanging branches… I’m not sure a smaller car could make it back to the cabin. The cabin itself looks very similar to the photos with a few minor changes in decor. Most furniture is due to repair or replacing and there is an unpleasant odor as someone else previously mentioned. As of January 17, the dryer is broken and the only working TV is the living room one (it has sound issues but is usable). Overall we were happy with the close proximity to stores and Mt Hood.

Great place, location, and had everything we needed.
Cabin was as it was described and pictured online. Great place for my family with plenty of room and the hot tub was great! About 20 minutes from the snow so it’s perfect if you only have one car that can handle the snowy terrain.
I would stay here again.

Great stay
Cabin was perfect for our get-a-way. Had one issue that was addressed right away. Loved the fireplace and hot tub. Will definitely stay here again. Finding it was a bit tricky and appreciated the other comments to turn left at the "Dale" mailbox. There is also a private property sign on the tree. You just follow dirt road to the end.

Great House!
My girlfriend and I stayed here for our anniversary and we had a great time and we loved everything about the house! It was a really cool home with a lot of space and would be great for entertaining large groups and small groups such as my own! The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because a number of the things when we arrived were broken and did not work (bedroom TV, dryer didn't work, couch had rips in it, some lights were out, blinds were broken in a lot of rooms, amongst a few other things). Additionally during our stay the neighbors were quite noisy and made relaxation a bit tough. These are all just situational things and are things that can be easily remedied or will most likely not happen again on another stay which is why I would still recommend this home, it's just that our stay was not as luxurious as we had hoped!

A bit confusing to find, but we had a great stay
Location and amenities were great! The dryer needs a bit of maintenance as it wouldn't work properly, but otherwise it was fantastic stay.

Cozy Mountain Cabin
We love this cabin! It was perfect for our yearly vacation to the Mount Hood area. We love the stone fireplace and the wood beams which provide a rustic feeling, The home is very clean and the kitchen has all necessary utensils and cooking equipment. The upstairs loft with skylight is lovely and the king bed is very comfortable. The wrap around porch is perfect for sitting outside for morning coffee or late night star gazing. We will definitely be back!

Rustic hideout
This cabin is definitely off the beaten path if you are looking to hide away. We had multiple carriers and only had one to two bars. Be sure to print instructions before leaving. Note google says you are there and you have to go to the next mailbox with Dale's name on it to get back to the cabin. There is a stop sign on the right and a dirt road to the left. The sign says Deer Park and Riverwood. Go left. The Vacasa sign was covered with grass so almost impossible to see.

Great cabin retreat for friends
Overall great stay. Nice cozy place and pretty clean. Loved having a fireplace, hot tub, and grill accessible for a small group of friends. Had quick and helpful service with booking the trip and when the dryer would not start.
Laundry room/back of ground level has a strong musty smell. Air freshener is available but the washer could probably use a clean.
Fellow travelers: GPS has trouble locating the property. There is a small Vacasa sign marking the correct driveway. Go all the way up and keep left :)

Very clean and comfortable for our group!
The house was squeaky clean when we arrived for our weekend get-together. The hot tub was amazing, the views and the quiet were so nice, good heat/water pressure, comfy beds, and plenty of extra towels and blankets. We would come back in a heartbeat!

Great cabin deep in the woods
Great little treasure deep off the beaten path. Cozy fireplace, great kitchen and perfect place to get off the grid. So close to the snow parks and fun.

This is a great cabin. Everything was very clean, bathrooms, hot tub, kitchen, all spotless. There was enough wood to burn and heat the entire house for two days. The layout is well planned and comfortable. Also, the house is the very last on a dead end driveway so there's absolutely no traffic. We'll be back for sure.

Last week of June trip
Cabin's first impression smelled like propane gas when we walked in. Checked kitchen. One of the gas stove knobs was slightly turned on. Fixed it. Has lots of appliances, glasses, silverware for cooking. Beautiful back yard. Fire place was great. Hot tub was nice.
Beds are old and uncomfortable to sleep. WiFi is horrible, works every now and then. Hard time finding place. Needs more signs to designate. Other than that we had a good time.

Great stay
The property is secluded and beautiful. The cabin is cozy, clean and decorated nicely. This was for a groom's wedding party and it was nice that they were able to BBQ, hang out, hot tub and be together in a relaxed setting before the big day.

Great long weekend at this cozy cabin with friends. Loved all the exposed wood, central fireplace, and the hot tub.

Great place to stay
We really enjoyed this house. It was the perfect size for our group of 7 adults. The house is tastefully decorated to give you that woodsy retreat feel. We were impressed with how well the kitchen is supplied with all the essentials, there was nothing that we needed that wasn't there, if anything there was much more then we needed and we cooked all of our meals at the house. The rope swing was tons of fun for us 30somethings to feel like kids and the hot tub was just big enough for all 7 to fit. The fireplace was a beautiful center to the house and we used it most of the time. But if anything the house got too warm while using the fire.

Private & Cozy
My husband and I loved this house. There’s a cozy cabin theme carried throughout, comfortable beds and seating, and plenty of pillows and blankets. The house might start to feel crowded for a larger group, but for the two of us, it was perfect. We stayed in the loft bedroom and the fireplace kept us nice and warm for most of the night. We were provided with more than enough wood for our two-night stay. There were also plenty of linens and toiletries provided, as well as a fully-stocked kitchen. We enjoyed using the grill and hot tub each night, and liked that the house felt private and tucked away, yet still close in proximity to a grocery store and all the things we wanted to see in the area. I did subtract one star for a couple of reasons: The upstairs shower was terribly backed up, and actually caused my husband to fall on the first night of our stay. A 5-minute shower would result in several inches of water in the bottom of the tub. Another thing: there seemed to be something wrong with both the TV and the cable box in the upstairs loft. The cable box didn’t work at all and the TV would freeze up at random times. There also seemed to be a funny smell around the house (which, can be livable in a cabin), but it was especially funky in the laundry area. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and we’d love to visit again!

Beautiful home in the woods with room to entertain my whole family!
We really love this home and would like to stay again some time. I can't get over how beautiful the outside front wrap around porch is. We enjoyed visiting on the porch while the little guy played outside, and a family of deer even walked by when we were out, which I have heard is pretty normal. The kitchen was well equipped so cooking for our group of 8 was easy. A fun surprise was the seated rope swing out back, which are teens and young adults enjoyed a lot. The 1 downstairs bedroom is the most private. There is a private upstairs bedroom with a queen bed that is nice too. The kind bed is in the open loft area, and the twin bunk bed set is in a little nook off to the side of the loft, with a curtain to pull shut for privacy. There doesn't seem to be A-C, but there was a ceiling fan in the living area. It would have been good if there were fans in a closet that could come out on those rare 100+ degree hot days like when we were there. The hot tub is larger than it looks in photos and can comfortably seat 4 people. The location was super convenient to a grocery store and strip stores at the light on the highway, and also very close to the mountain attractions and hikes. The beds were ok, but nothing special. I like a pretty firm bed and the loft bed was just really average, but it was fine. Also, they really should have 8 chairs at the table as it is an 8 chair set, but 2 are missing so we had to grab the 2 bar stools to get everyone at the table. One thing that impressed me was that when we called maintenance with a hot tub questions, he came right out and communication was very clear. I think the management team for this area does a great job.

pretty cabin, beautiful woods
This cabin is nestled in the woods, quite private. Loved the hottub on the back porch, the wrap around porch, and my girls LOVED the swing from the tall trees. So relaxing. Got to watch deer come around every morning. Comfortable beds, plenty of televisions if you need the distraction. But so much peace!!

Hidden secret.
If you and your family are looking for an amazing, out-of-the-way rendezvous then this is the place for you. Solitude and the sound of the wind will be your companions. This is one nice "hidden secret". So, pass the word.

A relaxing getaway
This is the fifth house/cabin we've stayed at in the Welches area and we've finally found a retreat we'll return to! We booked it again for our anniversary before we even checked out. It was perfect for just the two of us.
It sleeps 8, but I think it would feel pretty crowded with that many, unless you have warm weather for some to be outside on the deck or out hiking. If you were there with a group, everyone would pretty much need to go to bed at the same time, as sound bounces right up into the loft upstairs. The master bed could be a little more cushy for me, but I'm bony.
It's such a peaceful, quiet spot. Everything was very clean and in nice condition. It didn't disturb us much, but something to note- the fireplace has an automatic fan that turns on when it's hot enough (my husband was impressed with it). It cycled on and off a number of times as it was cooling after the fire died down. Really not much of an issue, though. The woods behind the house have recently been cut quite a bit, but it's still a beautiful spot. We're looking forward to coming back!
