Vickie and Hank are the best from when we showed up until we left. Vickie walked us through the cottage when we arrived, and even helped with our luggage. The place is very private and a joy to return to after the craziness of Zion. I already miss Hank and his early morning runs. We need to say thanks one last time to Vickie and Hank.

Loved everything about this property- perfect place to soak in all the goodness♥️ Vickie @ Hank are delightful and wonderful hosts!

Property exceeded our expectations. Very clean and well equipped with all necessities. Host was fantastic in explaining everything about the property.

What a magical place to rest & relax regardless of your level of adventures in the region. Vickie & Hank could not have been more welcoming…and I had everything I needed & then some in the beautiful, well-appointed cottage on their 700 acre ranch. And as an aside, when the locals know & rave about the people you’re renting from AND refer to their ranch as “heaven,” you know you’re in great hands at one of the best places in the area :)

Our hosts Vickie and Hank were absolutely wonderful! The cottage was so meticulously decorated and the pictures surely do not do it justice!! There were so many thoughtful touches in the cottage from condiments and staples to Enhance the groceries we brought to the thoughtful little “birthday cake bites” so elegantly displayed for my birthday! Their ranch is spectacular and I absolutely loved their big Pyrenees/Bernard dog Wickie! We had a splendid, restful and peaceful time and so close to everything we wanted to visit without the hassle of crowds! Would absolutely come back!!

We couldn’t rate this property more highly. Our hosts were most welcoming and provided every extra touch to ensure a memorable stay. Beautiful, secluded surroundings and immaculate accommodations made for a relaxing stay in what can only be described as an exquisite slice of paradise. We’ll definitely be back!

I really can not say enough great things about this cottage, the location breathtaking, the bed so comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and more, the hot tub was an added bonus. Now let’s talk about our hosts, they are two of the kindest friendliest people, Vickie took care of every detail, she recommended hikes on the west rim, restaurant for a birthday dinner, left us a welcome treat and responded to any message that was sent. You can tell that they love to have guests on their property, but they also really respect your privacy as well. If we ever find ourselves in this area again we would absolutely stay here again. 10 out of 10.

Vickie was a wonderful host. We arrived later than expected and she was very accommodating with alternate instructions for check-in. She was very helpful with little hints about exploring the area. The ranch and setting are stunning. Very close to the West entrance to Zion. 30 minutes to Springdale and the South entrance. So many treasures around to explore. The cottage was very cute, super clean and well maintained, and very private. We loved it!!!

It is hard to summarize how impressed we were with Sunset Canyon. Vickie thought of everything and went above and beyond in every way. I rarely use vacation rentals, generally preferring hotels, but the cottage was superbly appointed and had everything we could possibly need and then some. It was sparkling clean and well furnished. The hot tub, grill, sports court, pool, and Vickie's helpful and up-to-date information about the Zion area were all cherries on top. I would not return to the Zion area without staying at Sunset Canyon.

Amazing property! We have stayed in Zion many times and this was absolutely the best. Great location, quiet, secluded, and romantic.
The Host’s are fantastic. Everything is thought of for your stay.

My wife and I truly loved our brief stay at this property. The cottage was absolutely charming, comfortable and surrounded by beauty. Vickie was extremely accommodating when our airline set us back half a day and we had to arrive in the middle of the night. Never have we been so grateful to see a warm, comfortable and well lit place waiting for us. Nice little extras throughout the cottage made our time feel very special as did the advice about local hikes that we might not otherwise have known about. Very special place.

By far the best VRBO that we’ve stayed at. The owners provided every possible amenity to make us feel home. Beautiful location. Amazing cottage.
We are so happy to have found this gem. Highly Highly recommend. 5 stars all the way.

Pictures didn't do it justice, this property was the coziest, homiest, cottage, and it made our trip to Zion absolutely perfect. The furnishings, incredibly well-stocked kitchen, the views, the patio... We would've loved being there without even going to Zion. But coming "home" to the cottage after a long day of hiking and riding the shuttle was a much-needed respite. We truly felt at home and loved our stay. If we come back to Zion, we'll definitely stay here again! Thank you so much, Vickie!

The cottage at Sunset Canyon ranch was meticulously clean and totally relaxing. We were warmly greeted by three furry souls upon arrival. Every convenience of a well stocked pantry and refrigerator was offered. The cottage is a refurbished historic bunk house that has a petrified wood fireplace wall. AC/heat was perfect. It is a home away from home. Vickie is a wonderful person and was the best host we ever had in all our vrbo stays. The distance to Zion is only 8-9 miles. Many other hikes and adventures are available if Zion is not a plan. The Davis store in Toquerville was excellent. Thank you Vickie and Henry.

My husband and I stayed in the cottage for 4 nights and we wished we could’ve stayed longer. It’s quiet, comfortable and had everything we needed and then some. You will not be disappointed if you’re looking to get away from the crowds and stay someplace off the grid. The owners really go out of their way to make sure you feel right at home. Lots of hiking to be done in the area as well so you don’t need to go into the main park (Zion).

Property was beautiful, comfortable, & peaceful. It was an easy drive to Springdale & Zion National Park, a lovely oasis to come back to after a busy day of exploring Zion. We would love to stay at this cottage for future vacations, the next time, we will plan a day or two devoted to solely relaxing & enjoying the property & it’s amenities.

We loved our time here! Vickie and Hank were so kind and amazing hosts. The scenery is breath taking. The ranch is so beautiful and a perfect place to rest and unwind after a day of hiking in Zion! We loved every minute of our trip!

What a beautiful home, property and the very best hosts. Vickie and Hank were so welcoming. The ranch was a perfect place for us to stay for all of our adventures. The home is very well appointed, the bed is super comfortable and we felt at home immediately. We look forward to returning!

We couldn't have asked for a better location, home, or host. Since we were new to Zion, we really had no idea how perfect this location would be. With access to everything on the west side within minutes of the property, we could take our pick of great hikes without the crowds found on the east side of the park. Of course, we did go to the east side of the park as well but coming back to a peaceful, quiet location afforded by Sunset Canyon Ranch was such a pleasure. If you're looking for a peaceful outdoor space for coffee in the mornings and a glass of wine in the evening, with easy access to plenty of outdoor activity in between, look no further.

Seclusion paradise. It was all you could want between the property, the house and the views. The house was immaculate, Ms. Vickie thought of everything. We took advantage of the hot tub, pool and patio. We hopefully will come again.

We were celebrating our 25th anniversary and were looking for a place away from the crowds where we could have some space to enjoy beautiful Zions in a different way. This place was perfect. We arrived at night and pulled up to a beautiful cottage, the lights were on to welcome us warmly. Communication with the owners was easy and Vickie was so accommodating to our needs. Everything was so clean and there was even a snack in he fridge for us to enjoy when we got there. The views out the master bedroom windows were gorgeous, when the sun came up the next morning I couldn’t wait to get outside and explore. We thoroughly enjoyed the private hot tub and went to the Main house for a swim. Needless to say this was the perfect spot for privacy, and it wasn’t far at all to head to Springdell for some hiking and dinner. Absolutely loved our stay here and hope to do it again.

From check in to check out we couldn;t have asked for more. We arrived later than expected but Vickie was totally accommodating. We enjoyed our stay and couldn't have picked a better place. Very quiet and very peaceful and a great location.

My wife and I highly recommend this stay. The cottage was all that we could ask for and then some. It was exceptionally charming, comfortable, convenient, and very clean. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful and provided very detailed instructions about the services in the cabin, attractions and resources in the surrounding area, and even offered to lend us cookware to help with a dish that I wanted to prepare (although this was ultimately unnecessary, as the cottage kitchen was well appointed).
Oh, and the hot tub beneath the cliffs at sunset is pure magic. One of the best things about the place.
The surrounding area was unimaginably beautiful. The ranch is literally minutes away from Zion National Park, with several great hikes available from Kolob Terrace Rd. The official park entrance is also about half an hour away, and the drive there is absolutely gorgeous. Just make sure not to track the mud from all those trails into the cottage at the end of the day. It’s a no-shoes premises, but with good reason!

We have stayed in many VRBOs around the country, and this is one of our favorites. You are staying on a beautiful ranch set in a valley surrounded by bluffs. When we arrived at the cottage, we met the owners, Vicky and her husband Hank. Vicky walked us through the home and explained everything in detail. It is an extremely comfortable cottage and very well appointed. We had everything we needed. She lives on a cabin on the ranch so is very close in case we needed anything. We did not need a thing. We stayed 5 nights and hiked in Zion National Park during the day and returned back to the cottage exhausted. There is a hot tub outside the cottage waiting for you if you need it. The cottage is very private and quiet, and we were encouraged to walk anywhere on the ranch. There are several pastures with a couple of horses and a pond. This could not have been a more beautiful setting. If we return to the Zion National Park area, I will definitely rebook this home. The owners are lovely people.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the cottage March 17-20, the property is gorgeous and the cottage is comfy and cozy! Vickie was so lovely and gave us directions for some places in Zion to check out and advice on our travels.

Everything about the cottage and the surrounding area was absolutely lovely. 20 minute drive to main Zion gate, amazing hiking there. The cottage was very well kept and updated, owners are extremely nice. We hope to be back!

Our 29th Wedding Anniversary and my husband booked this Cottage. Vickie and Hank are lovely hosts, and the Cottage was pristine! So much 'roomier' than we expected. Fireplace and hot tub were the perfect balance at the end of the day (btw, my husband would normally never get in a hot tub!) Great proximity to trails and the park!

Beautiful setting and a gracious host. Amenities were amazing. Did some great hiking. Would definitely stay again!!

This property is absolutely beautiful and located about 20 minutes from Springdale. Easy access to Zion, without the crowds. The cottage has everything you might need, and Vickie and Hank have put so much thought into making your stay comfortable and convenient. They are lovely hosts. We would highly recommend this wonderful cottage!

This little corner of paradise was even more special than we could have imagined! We were warmly welcomed and easily settled in to the cottage. When you pull up to the gate, you don't quite know what to expect! It was so charming, peaceful and had everything we needed. The location will take your breathe away! Our hosts, Vickie and Hank, were so warm and accommodating and gave some great "off the beaten path" hike suggestions we took advantage of. Coming back down the winding road of the ranch to the cottage after a day of hiking and exploring was so relaxing. The pictures do a great job of showcasing the property but it is so so much more! We can't wait to get back someday.

Excellent location for exploring Zion. Very quiet and peaceful.

The cottage was perfect!!! All details taken care of inside and out of the cottage. The location was perfect as well. Very serene location where you can relax but also close enough to Springdale and Zion Canyon. Vickie and Hank put a lot of effort into the place and it shows. The hospitality shown was the best of any place we have stayed. Vickie and Hank - thank you for everything!! Hope to be back sometime rather soon!

We absolutely loved every moment we got to spend in this wonderful place. Our host was so welcoming and made sure we had the best experience possible (making sure we had everything we needed and knew about what was nearby). The property is so well kept, clean, and updated. Definitely enjoyed the fishing pond and the patio with the hot tub, grill, and especially all the flowers. Worth every penny you spend.

Spectacular Cottage with everything
What a beautiful, peaceful location. Vickie and Hank were so welcoming and introduced us to everything at the canyon ranch and the spectacular cottage. It was a perfect location for exploring Zion National Park and west Zion, the reservoir and lava lookout, too. The cottage was so relaxing and everything was so clean. Well stocked kitchen had everything we needed. The hot tub was perfect and everything was even better than described. Would definitely recommend.

The Cabin at Sunset Canyon Ranch
Our stay at the Sunset Canyon Ranch was absolutely perfect. The cabin was spotless and had every amenity we needed for a week of hiking and exploring Zion and Bryce Cannon National Parks. The Hot Tube came in handy after a hard day of hiking the "Narrows". Really was nice to head to the West side of Zion and leave the crowds behind each evening. The night sky was amazing to watch we really enjoyed hanging out on the cavered patio morning and evening.

Delightful!
Even though we came to see the national parks, this ranch is a destination in itself! They cottage was spacious, clean and well stocked. We appreciated all the personal touches such as fresh cut flowers, chocolates and slippers for our use. The hosts not only made the property special, but made us feel special too. They were friendly, welcoming, had wonderful recommendations for the area and were so much fun to talk with.
We practically felt like we had the whole place to ourselves since they only have 2 units for rent. We had our own hot tub, bbq, patio area and yard. This was a real treat after visiting the crowded parks! We spent time each afternoon at the pool and usually had it all to ourselves.
The only thing that we wish was different is that we had booked more days at this incredible destination!
