About this cabin rental
Discover your own private mountain haven just 8 miles (20 minutes) from Zion National Park's EAST entrance. Nestled among majestic ponderosa pines on the Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort property, our secluded cabin offers a truly remote and peaceful escape. With easy access to epic East Zion hikes like Observation Point, Cable Mountain, and DeerTrap, and away from the crowds, this cabin is your perfect base for exploring Zion's natural wonders or simply unwinding in tranquil surroundings.
As you approach our cabin along the winding dirt road, you'll feel the rest of the world melting away. The dense ponderosa forest opens up to reveal your private mountain retreat, a charming cabin that seamlessly blends rustic charm with modern comfort.
Step inside, and you'll find a welcoming space designed to accommodate up to six adults comfortably. The master bedroom on the main floor boasts a plush king-size bed, perfect for restful nights after long days of exploration. Climb the stairs to the loft, and you'll discover a cozy sleeping area with a king and queen bed. While the sloped ceilings add to the cabin's charm, they do limit headroom.
The heart of the cabin is its open-concept living area. Here, you'll find a fully stocked kitchen equipped with everything you need to whip up delicious meals. Gather around the dining table, which seats up to six, to share stories of your day's adventures. In the evening, sink into the comfortable seating in the living room, where you can watch a movie on the large HD TV or select a DVD from our collection. Wifi with Starlink
No matter the season, you'll stay comfortable with the cabin's AC unit, heater, and beautiful electric fireplace. And for your convenience, there's a bathroom on the main floor with a tub and shower, as well as a stacked washer and dryer.
But the true magic of this retreat reveals itself when you step outside. The covered front and back porches invite you to relax in lounge chairs, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and soak in the stunning views. Fire up the gas BBQ for an alfresco meal, or gather around the firepit as night falls. With minimal light pollution, the stargazing here is simply breathtaking – perfect for making s'mores and creating lasting memories around the fire pit.

We used this for three adults to explore Zion National Park.
One day we did a large loop without shuttles or parking a car. We walked from the cabin to Observation Point via East Mesa and returned East rim to staves spring. Another day we drove and hiked the Subway. Amazing hikes!
The cabin was extremely well appointed and clean. They thought of everything. The trip guide they left was very useful for understanding where to eat and get food. Having starlink on site for internet access was very helpful since our phones did not work there and we needed to check on permits and look up some directions and maps. Highly recommended. There was nothing lacking. One of the best vacation rentals i have ever used.

We had a great time exploring East Zion. We found it easy to get over to West Zion to do the Narrows and then we loved exploring all that East Zion has to offer from the trailheads that are only 5 minutes from the house.
We also really loved the option for a meal at the nearby Zion Ponderosa Ranch. We brought food and cooked but it was nice to have both options nearby.

Perfect cabin on the edge of the Zion wilderness. We hiked several days right from the front porch: Observation Point, Echo Canyon, Cable Mtn. Very clean and the well-stocked kitchen made cooking after a long hike a breeze. This place is a true gem!!! Can't wait for our next Zion adventure. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.

Wow, it was the perfect cabin. Had everything we needed and more. All amenities and stocked kitchen. The best place to come back and relax after a day of hiking and exploring. Beds and couches were very comfortable. Loved the heater in the bathroom. We grilled steaks on the propane grill, conveniently on the covered deck, while it was raining. We woke up to a winter wonderland surprised by snow. The drive to Zion was beautiful and easy. We got to hike Angels landing and returned to the cabin to enjoy the fire pit with s’mores. Wish we had stayed another night. Will definitely stay here again!

Cabin and property were exactly as described. Owners were very accommodating, readily available if needed, which we didn't fortunately. Place had all the little things we needed and then some. While there are some other homes around it, you can't see any of them, feel very secluded. Would absolutely stay here again.

Clean and well represented by the photos on the website. Secluded but still close to the Zion East Gate. A lovely (must do) 2 hour drive to North Rim of the Grand Canyon! Saw a flock of turkeys every morning in the back yard and a couple of nice mule deer bucks. We walked to Stave Springs trailhead and hiked to Cable Mountain, incredible views. Lots to do without even getting in the car! Highly recommended
