First time renting a house, so didnt know wjhat to expect
we had dogs & the only problem was having to cross the hwy or walk up the huge hill. I am recovering from major surgeries & this didnt work for me. Otherwise everything was perfect

Overall it was a good stay just the blind was broken for the big window so we couldn’t see much if the ocean

The property sits only minutes from downtown Yachats, and all the beauty of Cape Perpetua. We enjoyed our stay. The view from the main living spaces look out across the highway to the ocean.

Visited with family for three nights and we had everything we needed. Would stay again.

Overall, the house served our purpose, which was spending quality time with the family. However, this was the only coast house we’ve ever rented without a deck/patio. That was sorely missed! There wasn’t a lovely spot to enjoy morning coffee and/or evening drinks while watching and listening to the ocean waves. Instead, there was the sound of the highway. Sadly, this property is literally on Hwy 101 so keeping windows open at night (I usually love to listen to the ocean while at the coast) only brought in the sounds of trucks, motorcycles and speeding cars. There is an “ocean view”, but not beach or waves, which is really what most are envisioning when they seek out a rental at the coast.
The separate family room was excellent for our teenagers to sequester themselves in (and the pocket door was great!). We appreciated the baby gate so we could block off the stairs from our elderly dog. The kitchen had what we needed. There were several “camping” chairs in the garage that we took to the backyard to enjoy some sunshine.
Again, the house was totally fine for hanging out inside with the windows closed (oh! Room darkening curtains would be much appreciated!), but not what we were looking for in a beach vacation home.

This house was just right for our family of 5 adults. It was just a quick walk across the highway to the beach. That was a real plus for all of us, especially our adult son who enjoyed reading on the beach in the morning and evening!
The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook all our meals. We loved the two separate living room spaces. It was nice to be able to watch tv or cook breakfast without disturbing everyone. We would definitely stay again if we ever are back in Yachats!

Love walking across road to beaches and into town. Didn't need car. Clean and nice. Dogs welcome. Next time hope to bring more family.

The Green Frog was adequate for the 6 members of our family who gathered there. The beach view is OK if you don’t mind looking over the parking lot of the Yachats Inn & the ugly, old hippie bus that seems to be a permanent fixture across the street. The yard is quite lovely, but there is no outdoor seating area/chairs, etc. it would be nice to have a way to enjoy it. The beach is easily accessible, & the charming, little town is very close. Some of the furniture could use cleaning, & the upstairs shower drain backs up. There are some interesting books & lots of kids’ books & games. The egg BBQ requires some special sort of fuel, apparently. The owners have spared no expense on the laundry equipment: Speed Queen washer & dryer represent major investment! I’m not trying to cast aspersions…just pointing out some areas that need attention. Overall, the Frog is funky but comfortable.

Our kids have grown into wonderful adults. Two are married and one has our first grandchild. This home allowed all six of us plenty of room to feel relaxed with plenty of space for a few meals together and lots of together time. It is a very easy home to live in and had everything we needed to relax and be at home with family.

This place was a great location to access trails south of Yachats, the beach, and a short walk to central Yachats for groceries and chocolates, restaurants and coffee. Good access to the tsunami gathering spot should that ever be needed. The house was generally tidy and the beds comfortable. There were cobwebs, dust, and mold in various locations and some of the dishes/silverware and stove top were not entirely clean. It seemed like the house might not have been used or checked on for a while. We cleaned things as we went along. Nothing horrendous but minor things that felt like they shouldn't be there for the price we were paying for this rental. The downstairs is not quite as described so future renters should know that its a bit creepy feeling down there with some boarded up sections. The yard was nicely spacious with great landscaping where we could take our dogs to stretch.

In town for a family reunion and it was the perfect place for our grown family to stay at night. I was pleasantly surprised it was much larger than I expected. We had room for each couple to have their own space. There is plenty of parking and a beautiful yard so we didn’t really see any neighbors. We could see the ocean from the main room with large windows. The kitchen is stocked and baths have lots of towels. Two things I truly appreciated was the host responsiveness!! And we were impressed with the very minimal clean up instructions. Very doable with a big family, things we would have done anyway and we didn’t have to strip the bedding! First entrance into the house has an older smell because it’s an older house but it was clean. It was perfect for what we needed. Thank you!

We enjoyed our time at the Green Frog! It was a perfect place for our family of seven. There were plenty of beds and places for both the adults and kids to retreat to. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with the gadgets we needed for cooking. The ocean is right across the street with easy beach access by foot or car. We will definitely be back!

Are ages ranged from 3 yr old twins to 70's. We had 4 generations plus friends. There was something for everyone. We loved the beautiful dishes, the well stocked kitchen and the comfy beds.
My only 'wish' would be more opening windows to hear the ocean and a deck with a view. But, you can't have it all.
Thank you, for sharing your home with us.

We loved our stay here and would definitely come again. Great location for visiting lots of sites on the coast.

It should tell you about the service for phones. Also close to the ocean it should say you cross the main road hwy 101. The No shoes would of been good to know before hand. I’ve rented a lot of house and it was nice but had a lot of rules. We didn’t feel comfortable about the management services could drop by unannounced. We thank you but won’t be renting for sea-Nika.

This house is better than the pics show! The view of the ocean is great and it is very spacious! Would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay in the Green Frog. It was clean, spacious, and well stocked. A bonus is that there are two living rooms, so there's plenty of space for different groups to play, watch TV, etc. As others have noted, the highway is a little close, but most of the night it was quiet. The house is somewhat eclectic in its layout and construction, such as the large basement where one bedroom and bath are located. Just FYI...overall it's a great place to stay.

We had a great weekend and new years get together. House was clean and ready for our group. Kitchen is adequate, living areas provided enough space for our group of 6 adults. Weather was great and we made it out for a couple walks on the beaches in Yachats.

House is tidy and well-kept. Old-fashioned, but in a cute way. Only complaint really is the fact that it's right on Hwy 101, but the traffic noise and lights weren't too bad.

Cozy house, great for a family. Enjoyed the large widows with ocean view. The large back yard was great for the kids to run around. Will definitely rent this house again. Thank you!

We slept a party of 7 with two dogs. Space downstairs was perfect for the size of their kennels. The view was beautiful. The home was comfortable and met all of our expectations. Thank you!

The property was comfortable . Loved the beautiful flowers in the yard. We watched hummingbirds and butterflies dance around the flowers. We enjoyed our stay.

The house was very clean, comfortable, and convenient. Only complaint is that the walls are very thin, so if you are a light sleeper you might want to bring some ear plugs (one guest’s snoring could be heard in other bedrooms and downstairs fan could be heard/felt in upstairs bedroom).

A unique and lovely property worked great for our large group. Great location across from tide pools, beach and short walk to town.

This house was amazing! Better than we imagined! We had a family gathering in Yachat's with multiple locations, THIS house accommodated our group for dinners and had EVERYTHING you could possibly think of in the kitchen, for large meals.
Lots of room for only 4 people staying at the property. It was clean and roomy. The view was spectacular! The location is very handy, as it is right of US101. Quiet neighborhood! We loved it here and will definitely be back! What a gem in Yachat's!

Very family friendly
We love the green frog! This was our second time staying here, and it’s set up really well for families. We love that it’s somewhat affordable relative to other properties in Yachats. It’s location on the highway isn’t great with small kids, but we love that it is walking distance to the ocean. The host was very helpful in answering questions. Thank you!!

Incredible view and comfortable accomodations
Our whole party loved this house. There was room for the kids to run around and play outside. The adults enjoyed their morning coffee while watching the ocean. Although we didn't end up bringing our pets, there was plenty of room. We hope to stay again soon. Thank you for such a lovely place to stay.

Great views, spacious but cozy
Well organized check in process. House was spacious and well appointed. The note in the book saying that if our dog got on a blanket, we would be billed for said blanket was off-putting. I suspect you have had bad experiences in the past. We bring supplies for our dog but hosts often have a blanket designated for pets. Offering this or communicating to pet owners before they arrive may improve your experience in the future. We would love to return in the future

Nice!
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Lots of room for the teenagers to hang out.
It's near the highway, but it was very quiet overnight. It really wasn't a problem at all.
It's a bit of a walk into town, but it's pleasant. (To avoid walking some of the highway, cross the highway and walk down to the road along the water.) We did it several times. Or just walk down to the tidepools. It's really beautiful down there.
The back yard was a nice place to sit and read, or talk to the local deer. You might want to bring camp chairs.

Green Frog House
The house was a good size for our family vacation. The house could use better housekeeping, we found old socks laying in the family room when we arrived. It would have been nice if there was outdoor furniture to relax outside. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
