Thank you for taking the time to look at our home.
We are British, and bought this pre-owned property, furnished, as a holiday home in July 2016. Since then we have made significant changes to improve the facilities we provide. Our philosophy is simple. This is our home for about 6 months of the year, so we want it to be as comfortable and have the facilities we have in the UK.

Sorry if that sounds a bit unfriendly (we are not as can be seen from our reviews) but we don't wish to mislead and want our guests to have all the information they need up front.
We have a US caretaker and provide their contact details following booking.
We have a number of reviews which you should read as these will give you an impartial opinion on the house, what we offer and the overall booking and support experience.
We use the VRBO payment system which protects your money. We do not get paid until you have started your stay.
HOUSE LOCATION
The house is in the Village of Glenbrook, and so is ideally placed for those who like to enjoy the well-established town squares of Spanish Springs and Sumter Landing. Also, Glenview Country Club and golf course are just a few minutes’ walk or cart ride away.
The property is in a side street so there is little through traffic, making it a quiet location.
The neighbors are very friendly.
PETS
We have several friends in the neighborhood who have dogs – so we are pet friendly.
THE HOUSE
The property is a designer home, with three well-appointed bedrooms, en-suite bathroom in the master bedroom and a separate bathroom for guests. The flooring is mostly hardwood, which is easy to maintain, with ceramic tiles in the kitchen and new high-quality waterproof laminate in the Sunroom, laundry and bathrooms.
In recent years we have replaced nearly all the furniture and appliances that were part of our original purchase. That includes upgrading to a new Yamaha (2018 model) gas cart, with many upgrade features. We also purchased a 4-seater Yamaha Gas cart (2017 model). Both carts have golf bag restraints and are available to renters. These carts are maintained to a high standard and we have a recovery service contract (Kart Aide) covering both carts.
The kitchen was remodeled in 2017 when we also replaced the lounge and dining room furniture. We continued upgrading our house in 2018 and 2019. This included remodeling the master and guest bathrooms. We also converted the Lanai into a fully air-conditioned Sunroom. And we have had both the front and rear of the property re-landscaped, with new patios at the rear and an enlarged front porch area. We have installed a sun awning at the rear so that guests can sit more comfortably outside.
There is a grill at the rear of the house and a firepit at the front.
These are propane gas, and are only available on the agreement that the renter is fully responsible for their use and hold the owners free from any claims arising from their use.

WE KEEP OUR CAR AT THE HOUSE AND THIS IS A CONDITION IN OUR LEASE.
THE ROOMS
Florida Room
The Florida Room is furnished with two reclining massage chairs. Just the thing after a long day of golf, or other activity. To add to that relaxation there is a TV with its own cable box, so you can watch something different to what's on the other TV's. There is also a Bluetooth Speaker system which allows you to play music from your phone or tablet. If you want to listen without bothering others in the house, use the Bluetooth headphones. And there is a USB charger in the TV unit so you can charge your devices.
The Sunroom
The new Sunroom extends across the back of the house from the Florida Room, and with easy access through patio doors into the Master Bedroom. We have furnished this room with a leather reclining suite (also with USB charging outlets)
The Kitchen
The kitchen has been completely refurbished and all major appliances replaced. A large solar tube enables natural lighting during the day and LED spots together with under-cupboard lighting provide good evening light. There is a wide range of smaller kitchen appliances to make your stay enjoyable, including a coffee machine which uses either ground coffee or K cups so you can make individual cups or a full jug. We have also added a waffle maker.
The Dining Room
Here there is a dining table with extension leaf and 8 chairs, plus matching sideboard unit. A light over the table with dimmer, enables you to personalise your lighting in this area.
The Lounge
We have furnished the lounge area with comfy reclining sofas, around a coffee table and entertainment unit which includes a new (2023) 55” Sony Smart UHD TV with separate cable box, and Blu-Ray DVD player. In addition, the side tables are powered so you can charge your devices where you are sitting.
The Master Bedroom
The great feature here is a sleep number mattress, so if you like a different firmness to your partner, then it’s easy to do with the remote control. There is also a TV with a separate cable box.
The en-suite bathroom has been fully refurbished with walk-in shower, double-sink vanity unit, separate WC and flooring.
Two walk-in closets allow for plenty of hanging storage. We have added a small safe in one of these closets, but crime in the area is very low, and the neighbors do look out for each other.
We were concerned that the lighting might be a bit dim for some guests, and so have added four spots with a dimmer switch. There are also on/off switches either side of the bed.
There are patio doors giving easy access to the new Sunroom
The window at the side of the bed is hinged and provides an escape route if needed..
The Second Bedroom
This bedroom furniture has been updated with new modern units This includes a king bed with a new mattress and is very comfortable. There is a spacious closet with plenty of hanging space. To aid lighting we have added Phillips Hue switches for the bedside lights.
The Third Bedroom
This bedroom has 2 twin beds and has also been updated with modern units. There is a spacious closet with plenty of space. Here you will also find our wireless printer, which is available for guests to use - but we do not restock paper or ink before our next stay. We also have Phillis Hue switches in this room,
Guest Bathroom
Located between the second and third bedrooms, this was completely refurbished in 2018 with a walk-in shower, new WC, vanity unit and flooring.
Alongside this bathroom is a storage cupboard where you will find plenty of towels, including beach/pool towels. (Note: spare bed linen is to be found in each bedroom closet)
Other Places
The laundry/ utility room has front loading washing machine and separate dryer. Here you will also find a supply of laundry and other cleaning products, together with household items like batteries and light bulbs.
The garage contains our 2 golf carts – a 2 and a 4-seater, both with golf bag fittings. Our insurance extends cover to our guests. The garage door has a separate insect screen, both operated by electronic/remote controls.
In the garage you will also find 2 sets each of men’s and ladies golf clubs. They are our personal clubs, but we are happy for guests to use them. The men’s clubs are TaylorMade and the ladies are Callaway and TaylorMade. All have graphite shafts.
We do have an outdoor grill on the back porch but unfortunately our insurance does not cover our guests, though you can use it at your own risk as set out in our lease. Similarly, we have a new firepit on the front porch which can be used at guests' own risk.
INTERNET, TELEPHONE AND TV
The Internet, phone and TV service is supplied by xfinity cable (Comcast). It provides high speed internet. The cable TV has been enhanced to a top package from Xfinity - so you should be able to watch all your favorite programs. We have also added the sports channels, but we do not provide any extra paid for services such as movies or game day season passes.
We will be constantly upgrading our property.

This was by far the best stay I’ve ever had. I’m very particular about the cleanliness of where I stay. I typically will still go over most surfaces upon check in. It was completely not necessary with this property! This home was perfectly cleaned and very comfortable. Because of this I had a most relaxing and enjoyable stay. The hosts and caretaker were so easy to communicate with. Check in was a breeze! The house had everything we needed.I will definitely be back!! Thank you Ray and Louise!!!

The amenities are outstanding, from two golf carts, multiple sets of golf clubs, spices and condiments available, TV in every room, power recliners in the living room, veranda, and office area. Excellent beds and information packets supplied by the owner. Everything is top quality. The place to rent with friends or family.

This home was clean, welcoming, located in excellent spot near to many amenities. The property manager was always very helpful and took care of any issue. The owners made sure that the home is very comfortable, and included great communications to make our stay excellent! House is furnished beautifully and has every pot or pan or appliance you might need. Highly recommended!!!

Ray and Louise spared no effort to make us as comfortable as possible. From maps to the possible usage of golf clubs and carts, this was perfect for our experience in the villages. This is the second time we stayed at this property, and it was just as spectacular as the first time! Excellent communication with the property manager and the owner makes the entire rental process easy. The house is immaculate, has everything you need, including access to the two golf carts. We stayed for just under two weeks and had an amazing time. The house is beautiful and spacious and SO very well organized.. they have truly thought of anything you would need to have on your stay. We used the golf carts multiple times for golfing and going to Spanish Springs. The owners are very kind and extremely helpful. I would very much recommend this house.. definitely feels like home.

If I could give this home 10 stars I would. This is the best home we have ever stayed in. Coming in the door you felt "at home" immediately. The walk-in shower was great. The king bed in the master was perfect for a great night's sleep. Anything you needed was already in the house. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you needed. The property manager was always just a phone call away when we needed help because our settlement date was changed on very short notice. Great place to rest yourself after a busy day.

This is a beautiful well maintained home in a great location. The home came with 2 golf carts, golf clubs and resident passes. It was very comfortable and clean. The location is close to golf, pools, shopping, entertainment and restaurants. The owners are very friendly and helpful. It’s a great place to stay to explore The Villages.

This house had lots of recliners and tvs to satisfy the teens and adults. Having two golf carts was such a luxury since two of us golfed and three did not. We could go our separate ways and then meet for a meal or back at the house. The kitchen had more than we needed which was a first for us! Owners and property manager super responsive and couldn’t be nicer. We would love to stay again.
