House is in a very convenient location: walking distance to many places in Colorado Springs. Plenty of bedrooms, space, and areas to relax. Enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evenings. GREAT host - very clear communication throughout. Also, one in our group left a wallet behind at checkout, and the host found it and messaged immediately. Met us a week later when we came back through town and returned it. Really great experience, would highly recommend.

A little rough but comfortable for family

Great 5 BR house very close to all the downtown Colorado Spring restaurants and activities.

Fabulous house in a super location. Close to downtown, short drives to Gatden of the Gods, Manitou Springs/Cliff Dwellings, road to Pike’s Peak, Olympic Museum, parks and pool. We went to rodeo & we’re very close to the pick-up place for free ride. The kitchen was supplied better than any other home we ever rented. Reed was extremely helpful. Provided us with free adult-sized bikes. Our kids brought our grandkids’ bikes and enjoyed great bike rides on a fantastic bike trail right behind the house. The house had so many rooms and nooks & crannies the younger kids reveled in playing Hide and Go Seek. Great front porch too! Downsides? Minor— one of our Hide and Go Seekers said it was too dusty trying to hide under a couch. Also no recycling. Overall, probably the best rental we ever made for our family group!

Such a neat property and great front porch. It was our favorite spot!!!

Large house rented for college graduation. Large enough to house our whole family.
Property is just as described and communication from host/manager was excellent

Stayed at this property for a work event with 3 other colleagues. Plenty of room. Very clean, filled with character, Walking distance to downtown, close to everything.

Great house downtown. We will book it again.

Had a great time at the house. Plenty of room for a group.

I've rented this place for the last 10+ years. It's perfect.

The house was in a great location, very comfortable and large enough for our group. Lots of interesting features and character.

The house in beautiful, very clean, wonderful antiques and the air conditioning really kept in comfortable.
We did not ever get the TV's to work. There are lots' of steps to get in the house and only one bedroom with a double bed that does not require steps to access.

Our family really enjoyed our stay here. The location was perfect so close to downtown restaurants, shops and the beautiful Monument Valley Park. Very easy to park and walk. The kitchen was well equipped for a large group. We loved the front porch and everyone liked the swings. We did have trouble with the internet not working though.
4.8
Overall the house is specious, and the location is very convenient. We enjoyed our stay. Air conditioner was working perfectly. I would have given 5 star rating, if it wasn't for the following reasons: Most of the dining table chairs were wobbly. We were worried to sit on them. I think it is time to replace the whole set. :-) Kitchen had lot of things. However, they are very hard to find. For an example, blender was in one cupboard, and the lid was in a different drawer, way on the other side of the kitchen. In the basement bathroom, feels like floor of the shower stall is moving. I understand why you have a claw bathtub in the upstairs bathroom. However, it would be nice to have just a shower instead of a claw bathtub/shower. It was hard to get in and unsafe for an older person. Thank you.

The property is gorgeous, with plenty of supplies and a large kitchen if you want to stay in to eat. The rooms themselves were all spacious and the beds were comfortable. Highly recommend if you're looking for a unique place to stay.

Was largely as advertised. Clean, easy check in, and walkable to local restaurants. Beds comfortable. Notes: Guests that have difficulty with stairs should consider an alternative option. Three of five bedrooms share a single bathroom. Oven does not seem to cook efficiently.

Beautiful house, great location downtown, and great parking.
We will stay here again.
Thanks!

We had a nice family visit. Made a fun return trip to all the little mountain towns and had lunch at our favorite The Historic Ute Inn in Woodland Park. My husband is handicapped and our only issue was a loose handrail out front. Everything was nice and cozy! We all relaxed and had a blast.

Location is great. Owner was somewhat responsive. WiFi not great if trying to work. Beds are very old and not super comfortable. Bedroom in basement has worst bed and a pipe coming through wall that looks unhealthy. Small bars of soap would be nice. Overall it was fine. We were there for a wedding so really just slept there. New mattresses and bed frames would be a major plus.

Our group of friends has stayed here for the last 9 or 10
years and we've always been delighted.
Thank you Dawn, you're the best!

Great location
great location to get to all of the nearby attractions. House was perfect for the five of us. The house was big enough for us all to have our own space. We LOVED the front porch and spent many hours swinging, people watching and enjoying the weather. The kitchen is furnished well. We fixed several meals and enjoyed eating in the dining room area. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved our trip to Colorado Springs! The house was perfect. The home was a historic home and had lots of space. The kitchen is well stocked.
We appreciated the paper towels, and shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom.
We were walking distance to any Restraunt you can imagine. We were 15 minutes to Garden if the Gods, Manutius downtown district, and Pikes Peak!!
The only issue we had was waiting on the code to enter the front door. I had to call around for the info. Within 15 minutes I was in contact with someone.

The owner was awesome and answered questions we had in a timely manor. It is a historic home and the character and woodwork inside was lovely. We walked downtown to dinner every night. We were within 30 minutes of all the things we wanted to do (Garden of the Gods, Cliff Dwellings, Cave of the Winds, zip lining, white water rafting). It was great! Two washers and four dryers so if you want to do laundry, you can. Gas grill and full kitchen if you want to cook in. We spent every evening on the front porch! We had one issue with trash and the owner responded within minutes and took care of the situation, even stopping in the next day to make sure all was well! Don’t go into the rental expecting a perfect house, it’s a 100 plus year old home. But we loved it’s imperfect perfection. It was big enough for us all to stretch out and have our own bedroom space, yet all be together in one space when we wanted to do so. Thank you for providing a home for us to make our 2022 family vacation memories! I would definitely rent this home again.

I hate to give anything less than 5 stars but maybe my standards are too high. For the price I paid, I expected a house in better condition. Overall it was a good stay and the communication between property managers and me was excellent. Check in was easy and we had no trouble with the key. However, we came in from the backyard and it was filthy. The grass was knee high, carpet remnants were piled up and four bags of trash were torn open and strewn about. Having said all that, the manager was prompt in getting that addressed and it was taken care of the same day I mentioned it. Inside the house was clearly old but had its own charm. It was a weird layout, but that’s how they did it back then. As others have said, there was plenty of space to spread out and find your own nook. The seating is a mishmash of used couches and chairs and wasn’t particularly comfortable, and some of it looked to be pretty old. Bedding is subjective so what is comfortable to someone might be uncomfortable to someone else. So I won’t rate the beds. I slept fine. When we were there, Colorado Springs was having a heat wave. The air conditioner kept up well on the ground floor and basement, but the upper levels were 10 degrees warmer - and that’s where three bedrooms are located. Keep that in mind in the summertime. If the owner or manager is reading this, I recommend a couple of cheap box fans stored in the closet just in case people want to circulate some air. I was also wishing I had one for white noise considering the traffic outside can get loud occasionally. In general, the property needs the owner to do a walk-through. There are things that are just minor maintenance issues that could be easily fixed and bring it back to five star level. There were gouges in the drywall, stains on some of the carpet, the icemaker didn’t work, a throw rug was a trip hazard, things like that. We did not cook, but there was plenty of kitchen utensils. I could see where a family could call it home for a week or two. If they could get some of the issues inside fixed and make the outside areas more inviting, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. I hope that helps.

Our family came from Utah, Texas and Maryland to attend our Granddaughter's Destination Wedding. The house was so warm, welcoming, comfortable and accommodating. Our daughter labeled it the "Narnia House" because as we decided on spaces for each of us to sleep in it seemed the more doors we opened, the more rooms there were. Definitely would recommend this highly for any travelers wanting a home away from home. The property manager even had a steamer in the house for us to use for the suit my husband wore because he escorted the Bride down the aisle. Thank you for the use of this great home away from home.

We were attending a wedding in Colorado Springs and this house turned out to me .5 miles away! It was a fantastic location. I only wish we had more time to explore the area, but the entire time we were at family events. Jessica was so kind and helpful with my check in process. I would love to stay there again with less of an agenda so I could enjoy walking to all the local stores.

Great location where my coworkers and I walked to dinner the first night, due to proximity to Downtown restaurants and nightlife.
