This was our second time staying at the house and we had another fabulous week. Just about any amenity you can think of is provided in the kitchen. We grilled a lot and enjoyed the porch rockers every day while enjoying the ocean views. Bob is an excellent host and is quick to answer any questions. Highly recommend!

Excellent place to stay. Enjoyed our time there very much. Wish it were closer to the beach, but other than that, great!

Roomy and comfortable
The rental was large enough that we could spread our wings, 2 decks, large first floor suite, 3 bedrooms on 3rd floor, fans. We walked to the beach and got some exercise but it was enjoyable to walk along side the ocean. The views from the decks are good and and it was nice to walk out back and sit on the rocky shore. We really enjoyed our visit!!!

Excellent stay right on the water!
The house is very charming and has a classic beach house vibe which we loved. The floor plan was great, having the in-law suite downstairs was really nice for extended family. It's a good 10-15 minute walk to the beach, but we managed just fine. Looking out at the water from the porch rockers was our favorite! Bob was great to communicate with and the arrival and departure process was seamless. No issues during our stay.

Staying in York
We really enjoyed the Wyola! Great views! Not the best weather. The owner got back quickly when there were questions. Beautiful place with lots of space. The only drawback was the walk to the beach. There are very few sidewalks and at times it was dangerous.

Great location with beatuiful views
The location was perfect for our family of 9. The grandparents stayed on the bottom floor. This was perfect so they didn't have to go up and down the stairs so often as there was a bottom entrance. Age range was 8-87. Every morning and evening was spent looking out onto the rocky beaches. We could bike or walk into Short Sands. We were a short walk to the light house and the best ice cream shop ever.
The owners were so helpful and present. We had an issue with the fire alarm going off several times in the middle of the night. We texted them at 1am and they responded immediately to help us fix the situation. They arrived the next morning with donuts and batteries.
Thanks for a wonderful stay!!

Updates
I feel the binder had a lot of good information but could use an updating. There was no mention of where the outside shower was. The website says no sheets, I assumed that to mean no bedding at all so I brought blankets and pillows with, which turned out to be unnecessary packing. Could also use more dresser/closet space. There was no place to hang any shirts/dresses in the upstairs bedrooms. Overall the house was beautiful and we were very happy. Thanks again for everything.

We were 7 older people from different areas. There was plenty fo parking for 4 cars. The water views were great with a shaded 2nd level deck and a large 3rd level deck for sunning and drying towels. The beds were all comfy with easy access to the the 1st floor bedroom for individuals with trouble climbing stairs. The kitchen is well supplied with dish liquid, dish detergent, laundry detergent, dishes, glassware, condiments, dish towels. The location is ideal with a walk to Short Sands beach, Dunnes Ice cream, Fox Lobster House and Nubbble light. You can drive north on River road to get to Ogunquit to avoid traffic on route 1. Even though we hit hot weather during our stay the bedrooms were comfy with ceiling fans and a cross breeze. I met Bob and Janet when we got there and they were very helpful with everything. We were all happy with our stay and found so much to do. Thanks again to Bob and Janet. We definitely plan to come back. Arnold G. Konig, MD

Great vacation house
The beautifully decorated house with a great views of the ocean is comfortable and perfect for a large group of people. The 3rd floor has half bath and 3 bedrooms, 2 of which have sliders to the top deck. Great to have morning coffee on and quiet to nap on in the afternoon.
The middle floor has a comfy large living room is open and flows into the window filled sun porch. The kitchen and dining room are open and dining table large enough for big dinners or games. Kitchen is well equipped. It was great having the washer and dryer so we didn't have to deal with finding a laundromat and waiting for machines. The middle floor has a long covered deck lined with rocking and regular chairs another nice place for watching the sunrise w a cup of coffee.
The bottom floor is like having your own apartment, with a full bath, slider to outside. The house was as listed and well maintained.
There is close access to the rocks/ocean when not feeling like going to the beach.
Loved the outdoor shower.
Easy walking to short or long sands beach, Nubble light house or Dunnes Ice cream...
I would definately recommend this property.

Enjoyed a wonderful week in Maine at Wyola. Great location and views - the house was comfortable and had a well equipped kitchen. Outdoor shower is definitely a plus when beaching - and the kids loved it. Definitely family friendly - a lovely place.

Awesome Family week in York Beach
We had a fabulous week. My husband and I , my mother as well as our 3 adult children and our grandson all loved being together. We did give our son & daughter in law & baby the downstairs space. As the baby still doesn't sleep through the night---we loved they had their own space. Our daughter and her husband live on the west coast so we cherish being together. The house is well equipped. The kitchen was great. We used the "lobstah" pot 2 nights. Nothing like Maine lobster. We used the grill also. The Short Sands beach is a 10 min walk.. Rocky's farm stand on Ridge Rd is great. Hannafords is close by for quick grocery needs.
The views are just amazing and so peaceful & beautiful. We can't wait to return for another stay.

Perfect beach cottage!
We stayed in August 2016 with our three kids - ages 6, 4 and 6 months. The cottage was just as described, with multiple room options (twin beds, doubles and a queen), plus a private in-law suite located on the first floor with a separate entrance/exit. Very close to Dunne's ice cream, Nubble Light House and only a half mile from Short Sands Beach (definitely within walking distance if you don't have to drag three kids)! The house had all the amenities one could need for the week, plus amazing views of the ocean and the lighthouse. Bob called us on the first day to make sure we arrived safely and to inquire if we had any questions. The cottage is well-maintained and very clean; you can tell that the owners take very good care of the property. Also, the outdoor shower is an added bonus - perfect to rinse off the kids after a day at the beach. All in all, we had a wonderful experience. Thank you Bob and Janet! We would definitely consider returning in the future.

Fantastic Family Vacation!
We had a wonderful experience at WYOLA. There is a ton of space, and everything was very clean and comfortable. There are 2 great size decks that have picturesque water views. You can walk to Dunne's ice cream and nubble easily. We traveled with kids ages 3, 2, and 1 so we drove to the beach - But adults could have easily walked. York did a fireworks display one night, and we could see perfectly from the top deck. Such a nice perk.
Also with kids we loved the outdoor shower. After the beach we could rinse off all the sand before naps with ease.
Bob was great. He called to check in the day we got there just to make sure got in ok. We had a wonderful time and would absolutely recommend it!

Wyola Dream!!
Awesome views!! Awesome cottage!! So close to the Nubble, Short Sands, and Long Sands. The place was charming, all the ad says and more. Great balconies with ocean views and rockers, love the outdoor shower!! And all the place had to offer. Quaint town of York and close to many others. Can't wait to return to the rock shoals, which are right there and are amazing to sit and relax and take the view all in, couldn't get enough of that, and to listen and see the ocean right there....so stunning!! And the sunrise and sunsets are phenomenal!!

Better than described
Fantastic time at Wyola cottage. Stayed other places in years past that were overrated from their ads – but not this one. The pictures are accurate – the ocean really is right there, and you can see the sunrise! Another plus you could see the nubble lighthouse beacon from the third floor balcony (bunch of other lighthouses too). The accommodations are better than described. Plenty of sleeping areas, and the first floor was great for our overnight guests with baby – quite, private and separate entrance so they could go out for early morning walks while the rest of us slept in. The yard is small but it didn’t matter since the lighthouse park was just down the road, and it was more fun to just go out front exploring on the rocks when some of the group were fishing. Small parking area but we were able to fit all four cars without a problem. Outdoor hotwater shower was great to get rid of the beach sand. Good sized gas grill was used almost every night including boiling lobsters, but its easier to have the locals boil them and bring them back and eat out on the picnic table watching the waves. Hope to get back there in 2014!
