Unique place and property. My husband and I met at a summer camp so it was a bit of nostalgia staying so close to a camp. Really enjoyed hiking the lookout trail and dining at the bush farmhouse. Black mountain was a great weekend trip.

We rented the cabin for new years. Amazing place. Felt at home. We were close to downtown and hiking trails. We will definitely be staying again

The property is a one-bedroom freestanding home (main room with fold-out futon), kitchen, and loft bedroom). It's fine for two adults, but would be pretty crowded with more than that. The setting is great, being located on a very pretty former summer camp with two small lakes, meadows, and lots of woods. This house is up on a hill, so very private. It was too cold to really enjoy the outdoors, but it is also very close to Asheville. We toured the Biltmore and also caught a movie in town. Everything was nicely decorated and in good condition.

My wife and I enjoyed our say here as it was a peaceful and comfortable place for our visit to Ashville, NC. Wonderful restaurants in nearby Black Mountain.

Lovely property. Quiet and isolated yet close to all the nearby attractions. Loved the photography and history of Lake Eden.
The place is magical.

Wonderful area.
The 62 acres is beautiful and great to hike around but confusing because you don't know whose property you might be on and there is no one to ask? Very private except for the maintenance dept was right behind the studio which would have been nice to know beforehand? No silverware, enough dishes or supplies.

Mostly As Advertised
My wife and I enjoyed our stay. A nicer mattress, new pillows, and some more comfortable furniture would go a long way to making it a 5 star stay. The pantry also lacked some essentials that make for a nice rental. It’s certainly a good location if you’re visiting Black Mountain and Asheville, but want to be off the beaten path.

Great little cabin
Perfect size place for a couple. Plenty of room, functional kitchen, and gorgeous scenery. Black Mountain is very close by for food and entertainment. Recommend hiking in Montreat, also.

Great, unique location and property. We loved walking the grounds with our pup. A great stay!

Was Okay
All in all not bad, The stairs to the loft are pretty tough if you are up in age. The Blinds don't cover the whole window and leave a huge crack at the bottom for others to see in as well as one of the blinds were missing a shutter. The Furniture left a lot to be desired for comfort, Just never could get comfortable and you have to go get your own Fire wood from the storage place. There is no view of any kind and the Lake is nice if you just want to drive by and look at it, Cant do anything at the lake its private. Not really what we thought what we were getting but not a terrible stay..

Review
It was challenging to find actual property once we saw the mailbox. Better description to understand we were back between several other properties: this is on a camp with sign saying we need appointment, etc. no # actually marking house...had to pull up listing pic to see if we were at right place...verified by opening lockbox...could have been at wrong property with people at home. Soap & shampoo for people who fly; mention no TV...we didn’t care nor miss but I know people who would not be happy. Nightlight since circular stairs & no bathroom on bedroom loft. Leaving a light on downstairs was a bit bright.

Quite and Quaint little place
My husband and I love the place, our dog enjoy as well, everything we need were in place , at first my husband does not like it, he thought it was a little bit contemporary, he wanted more on a rustic side but the. He take his word back and expressed appreciation and even wanted to go back, yes we do love to go back again one day, for me it was beautiful quite place #serenity, highly recommended 👍 easy check in . We love it!

Beautiful Black Mountain getaway
Stayed in the studio at Lake Eden with my wife and 9 month old dog. We had an amazing stay. The property is beautiful and very well maintained. Between exploring the grounds to just hanging out on the back and making a fire, you will thoroughly enjoy this location.

Impressed and Satisfied
This was our annual 4th of July getaway and certainly glad we chose the Lake Eden property. We learned that the structure was originally used as a photography studio! This was well lit, private, and had all of the amenities required to feel comfortable and luxurious yet disconnected. We loved hiking the grounds and exploring the vast trails in the surrounding towns in Old Fort and Cawtaba Falls. From check- in to check out we were impressed with the e tire experience. Pat & Kyle

Lovely little getaway for my daughter, me and our pups!
Everything was wonderful! The cabin was so sweet and I absolutely loved how we were nestled in our own little forest! And thank you so much for being so dog friendly, my sweet boys had so much fun!

Fleeing Dorian
This was a fantastic location. We enjoyed the remote location away from the hustle and bustle of where we currently live. This was a last minute decision and the owner was fantastic in helping us make this work. The property was fantastic and wonderful to be able to take our dogs to run and enjoy their time, too! Will definitely be back (hopefully under better circumstances).

Amazing, quaint place to stay! The property as beautiful!
We loved staying here! A very unique studio with amazing photography displayed (used to be a photography studio). The place was clean, private, stocked with towels and had what you needed in the kitchen. There is no TV, but great WiFi. Outside in the back was a great spot for coffee in the mornings. We walked around the property and took in the gorgeous scenery. I would highly recommend this place and all of the Lake Eden Events places!! Very unique stories behind some of the buildings as it was Black Mountain College at one point. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!

Amazing Getaway
This stay at this property was amazing. My first time in Asheville area, and I cannot wait to come back!
This property was clean, and inviting. We saw some neighbors, but it was private enough that we did not interact often. It was very easy to access the property and the rental. I cant wait to come back here and see what the area has to offer.
Initially I was hesitant to stay in Black Mountain because I did not want to waste time travelling to and from Asheville. Honestly, it was an easy commute and I was happy to stay here. Also, Black Mountain is a cute and welcoming area in itself!

Pleasant, but not so great
The location was great; an easy 15 highway drive without traffic to downtown and far enough away to be quiet. The grounds, landscape with lake and rolling hills was beautiful and peaceful (watch out for duck poop everywhere). The studio was quaint, but, we did not like that the shower is alone in one room, a toilet in another room and neither had a sink or mirror. Also, it was not as clean as depicted in the photos. The outside grill had been used and not cleaned with chunks of meat and grease throughout. The outside chairs and table were dirty.

Relaxing and comfortable!
The place was really neat and comfortable and the owners were very friendly. The place is in convenient proximity to Asheville. The only issue we had was that we didn't really have cellular network access, but we were still fine without it. Overall a wonderful, enjoyable experience!

Property is well maintained and secluded as advertised. Definitely a second home feeling.
A lovely quiet get away where everyone is friendly and they leave you to your own much needed getaway.

Great stay!
The Studio was everything we expected! Comfortable, unique, and a lovely, quiet location--easy distance from Asheville.
We were cooking during our weekend at the Studio, and found everything we needed in the kitchen (minus a pot, which we brought with us). Tiny TV with a VHS player. We brought videos!

Taken around the world.
As you enter this wonderful property there are two beautiful lakes with views of a mirror like images of the sky. As you wind around these gorgeous grounds up to your cabin nestled in its on space, you know you're home. The attention to detail that this cabin displayed without taking away any of the mountain like feel was astounding. We indulged in the photography and before you know it, we were whisked off to another place. A lot of the travels and the culture brought my fiancee close to home with this cabin. We were greeted by the dog at breakfast and again in the evening, I guess he just wanted to make sure everything was going well. It rained while we were there and between the sky lights and the windows.... (A sleepers paradise). All of the grounds and cabin were very well maintained. If your looking for a very peaceful mountain getaway, this quaint little cabin will not disappoint. Maybe next time we'll see some of you there... While there please visit the town of Black Mountain, it's just a short drive and the locals will make you feel like you're at grandmother's house. I highly recommend trying the fried cheesecake at Las Conzuelas, it's worth breaking your diet. I'm just counting the days until my return. Germaine Bullard, Saenglavi Thavone
