We had an amazing time

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The property had all the amenities and comforts of our own home. Thank you for allowing us to spend a week in paradise at your beautiful location!

Great stay overall! House has been updated and comes equipped with anything you could possibly need. The lower price makes the Florida Keys accessible to many!

I cannot wrap my head around how more people haven’t written reviews on the poor air quality in this rental! DampRids FULL in every corner of the house, condensation running down the peeling/damaged wallpaper, de-humidifier running 24/7, water damage underneath one of the sinks in same bathroom that the floor is caving in. We left a day early since we couldn’t breathe at night due to congestion we developed while there. We’ve stayed in multiple VRBO’s at Venture Out in past years and are understanding to ‘mobile home life’ but this takes the cake for disappointment.

The owner was the best we have ever experienced. Very helpful insight what to experience while in the Keys with our family. It was a safe neighborhood that feels like home. The only thing that could have been better was the cleaning company who maintains the house. Other than that, great stay!

The location was great, right on the water with a great view. The house and amenities were perfect for us.

Great place to stay if you want to fish and snorkel the reefs and also be close to the restaurants and shops of Key West. The house has everything you might need and the views from the deck are amazing.

We enjoyed all of the biking, fishing, kayaking and pool. Would recommend this place to anyone!

We really loved the house, everything was clean and tidy.
The patio was right by the water and the view was breathtaking!
There was only 1 thing that we didnt knew about which was the entry fee (resort fee - non refundable) which wasn’t mentioned when we rented the property(or we might have missed that). It would have been good to know about that from before
But other then that no complains, would def be back here again

Window coverings broken or lack of. TV not workable in 1 bedroom (only TV in 1 bedroom). Closets cluttered with stuff and cleaning products everywhere. Didn't feel the floors were real clean. Will not recommend to any of our friends, which is very disappointing because the view was really good. I'm sure this won't make it on your website of reviews, but it should.

Loved this place! Its on the water with some of the best fishing right off the back deck! And all of the lights to light everything up including the water to attrack the fish at night! Loved it here will be back!

We were very excited to rent this specific house because of the advertised lights for night fish viewing.
On arrival, we found the power had been out & we arrived w/ lots of groceries to a very hot house & fridge. The Venture Out staff did quickly help us restore power.
Night 1 the outdoor lights did not work. We spent 3 days attempting to get ahold of Bob w/o a reply. We left 3 messages in the VRBO message thread, none of which were replied to & called the number listed & left voicemails.
On day 3, my husband thought he’d locked himself out. We had previously discovered that the back patio door of the house wouldn’t lock, so he entered that way.
We asked the Venture Out staff to help us get a hold of Bob. He promptly called us back & let us know to try the back door as it was known to not properly lock. (We realized the key code was working, it was user error.)
After that point, Bob did communicate with us, but the lights were broken and never did work. Bob offered some type of compensation but has delayed several times at this point.
The initial communication troubles made what could have been minor issues for several things feel much more frustrating. The house was not stocked with enough toilet paper. The house sleeps 6 (would not recommend due to very uncomfortable pullout couch) but high top table seats 4 with no extra chairs.
Overall, would choose somewhere else next time. A simple check in at the start of the stay would have gone a long way.

Had fun staying on waters edge and enjoyed watching the fish at night!

I’ve stayed in several houses at Venture Out over the years but this one had a great sunrise view every morning with coffee. Two things that are game changers are the underwater lights at the dock and the kayaks. Had a ball. My son hooked a tarpon and floated around the flats in the kayaks. Great AC as well. Each room is adjustable….. very kewl. A++

If you are very picky or "High Maintenance" or are looking for a 5-star hotel experience this is NOT the place for you. If you are looking for an AMAZING summer vacation HOME, then look no further!
Right on the water, quiet neighborhood and just about everything you need is supplied. Either by Bob and Spring or by others that have graciously left stuff behind to pay it forward. There are issues with the house, but nothing that was a show killer for us.
20 miles north of Key West!
This place reminded me of my grandparents’ summer home right on the water. I had an issue and left a message for Bob, and he returned my call within 30 mins, and we worked out what needed to be done.
This trip was with my wife and my sister. We WILL be coming back next year with the kids.
One bit of advice. Hold off on buying anything but food and maybe water if you want. Be sure to check the place to see if anything has been left by others. Check under the deck for fishing equipment. We left 2 brand new rods for others to use. Once you get there, make a list of what is missing and then go back to Winn Dixie or Publix and get what you need.

This is not a luxury accommodation but is quaint. Kept a boat there for two days without issue. Neighbors are quiet. The house needs some TLC but owners seem nice enough. Construction caused the power to go out for about 4 hours one day and 2 hours the next day which was a bit of a pain, but nothing that the owners could have done about that. Overall a pleasant stay and would go back.

Location was unbelievable; right on the opening to the ocean/bay. Unit was clean and comfortable. We did have a few issues; unit was just a little dated and needed some tender loving care. Overall, highly recommended.

My family of 4 stayed here for Spring Break March 24-April 2. The property is exactly is what is advertised. 2 bedrooms and 1 and a 1/2 bathrooms. We absolutely had a great time here. It’s in a small community and all of the people were so friendly. The view from the back dock can not be accurately captured in photos. The views are stunning and the sea wall lights at night attract so many fish it’s like having your own aquarium! We loved how close the location was to any activity you wanted to do in the Keys plus how many things there were to do right at the property. The pool is great and my kids loved swimming in the lagoon. We would definitely love to visit again.

This home was a perfect place to stay and visit family. We drove to Key West a couple of the days we were here which was about a 30 min drive. The deck was a great place to sit and relax by the water. We would definitely choose this place again.

We 100% recommend this place! If you are looking for a fancy hotel like property … this is not it. But what you get in instead is a really nice place in a fantastic community. Part of what we loved about it is that it’s like a cottage or a beach house. It’s an amazing little oasis with two decks overlooking the Straits of Florida. The home is cozy and clean! The neighbors are so nice and everyone takes you under their wing with answers to your questions. There’s a huge pool, pickle ball, picnic tables, a boat launch, a community room and activities throughout the week. We loved riding the bikes included with the home and watching the fish under the lights at night. Plus you’re only 26 miles from Key West. We enjoyed our time there too - take the old trolley tour, you’ll love it.
The hosts Bob and Spring are wonderful and even provided a special favor for us. I highly recommend them and this wonderful get away location. Enjoy!!

This was our second mid-winter stay at the Dolphin House and it was even more enjoyable than our 2021 “great escape” from the usual long, cold, sun-starved Iowa winter. The Springs have made a number of improvements to the property since their recent purchase of it. The large screen TV, new range/stove, dishwasher, bicycles, grill, outside lighting, landscaping, rehabbed deck, and microwave were immediate pluses. And the four underwater lights not only heighten the Dolphin House’s night-time ambience, they also attract numerous fish of varied shapes and sizes. Finally, Its location provides a great view of the bay between Cudjoe and Summerland Keys. Also, we would be remiss if we didn’t note the friendly neighbors. Actually, we have found virtually all of Venture Out’s full and part-time residents to be quick with a smile and wave when walking, biking, at the pool, etc. Can’t wait to return in the very near future!

This was our first experience with a VRBO or any type of property like this. We enjoyed the location, the size of the rental, however I do think it's overpriced for what it is, it looks nice in the pictures and all but it's a small double wide manufactured home that is old. The cabinets/drawers are old and don't work very well, there was a bit of a smell in the master bedroom, couldn't quite figure out what it was. I just assumed it was due to the age of the house. The sliding glass doors don't lock very well, I would slide the lock up and could still open the door. Luckily, we didn't have any trouble there. The shower head felt like it was going to break at any moment when you moved it. The beds were not very comfy, my wife ended up sleeping on the couch because of it which she said was super comfy, but we're simple people and adapted without making a fuss about it. We had a Hyundai Tucson as a rental car, and it just barely fit in the parking space. We didn't use the bikes or the kayaks so I can't comment on them. We liked having a clothes washer/dryer to use that helped us to not pack so much clothing. The security people were super friendly and our check in went really smooth. We really loved the deck area and the view. The full moon was awesome reflecting off the water. We were entertained nightly by the fish in the light of the dock. All and all we enjoyed our stay; it was nice to have a space to come to other then a hotel room.

We had a blast. Despite the cold weather, we found activities to do in and around Cudjoe key. Neighbors were friendly, and the staff was helpful. The rental was clean and had everything you needed for an enjoyable stay.

Always enjoy staying in Venture Out - safe community with nice amenities. We really had a lovely time at the Dolphin House (386) and especially liked the underwater lights. The owners have thought of everything (in abundance) - toothpaste, extra blankets, towels, pillows, dental floss, a fully stocked kitchen with appliances and cookware and more. Very comfortable stay - Thank you for opening your home to us.

Had a great time at Venture Out in Cudjoe Key. The residents and guests there were all very nice. Loved the ocean front access. Everything was very nice - just as advertised. Two things of note for the owners: (1) the hot water circuit breaker kept tripping off and had to be reset almost daily, (2) it would be nice to have some small items of tupperware and baggies for leftovers for those guests who like to eat-in.

My husband, adult daughter and 2-year-old granddaughter enjoyed a 4-night stay in this comfortable, beautiful home despite inclement weather - which is saying a lot! The home has plenty to entertain, including a beautiful view, a million TV stations and a drawer full of games.
Hub can't do a lot of stairs and he managed these well. (We did block off the stairs from the patio due to the 2-year-old.) Beds were very comfortable (a big deal for me) I was grateful to sleep well every night. The hosts provide lots of essentials, including a well-stocked kitchen, bathroom items and snacks. The location is perfect - particularly if weather cooperates.
We had a couple minor issues with household things and the owner was easy to contact and all about quickly addressing them.
We're kind of picky -- we like our creature comforts and look for the extras within our budget. We got it all here.

The house was just amazing-loved watching the fish come up to the lights at night. The location was amazing and we went out in the boat every day. Venture Out is a great place to stay with so many amenities. Can’t wait to come back next year.

The property was exactly as listed. The house was extremely accommodating along with the dock. Loved the easy access to the gulf or Atlantic made it easy to go fishing!

First night we arrived, we noticed a horrible smell out on the deck area. We soon realize it is not a fishy or ocean water smell but rather a dead animal. We contacted the owner the next day via email. After receiving no response, we called the owner the next day and left a message asking for this to be resolved so we could enjoy the outdoor deck. We never received a response. In addition, the unit was not clean. Kitchen cabinets on exterior and interior had both food, grime, and sticky spills on them and several of the pots were dirty with food. The dishwasher appeared to have mold and grime at its base of it. There is one tub shower and the shower liner was filthy with heavy soap scum and discoloration and the towels we were given were bleached in some spots. Seemed old. When I went to use the dryer to freshen a top, I found a gob of long black hair sitting in the tub of the dryer.
We paid top dollar for this unit, and based on the price and listed reviews, we expected it to be clean and the outdoor area to be useable. Unfortunately, this was not our experience and we actually checked out a day early. I have pictures to back up all of this information but there was no where on line to submit them.
