Very clean and cosy property, exactly as advertised. Local beaches and an easy cliff top walk into Bridlington. Took us about 20 minutes to walk to the main area of Bridlington, the land train is convenient, especially back up the hill, but we thought it a bit pricey.
It's about a 30 minute walk to the old town and the fabulous Nut & Nettle vegan restaurant.

Lovely cosy property, great base for walks.
Lovely homely comfy property. Everything you need provided. Great base for walking. Sowerby Hall on your doorstep. Would highly recommend.
Only slight downside is no garden space to sit out in and no lock on bathroom door.

Stay at Swift Cottage
Very enjoyable stay. Very helpful and pleasant lady manager.Only downside is parking very tight if all 3 spaces need to be used. Would definitely like to return. Thankyou,

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at swift cottage with myself and my husband and two teenage children. The cottage is home from home with everything you need. Two toilets is always a good thing with children. Views from the back bedroom you can see the sea and from the front bedroom the beautiful sewerby gardens. Although on a main road don’t let this put you off as it very quite and was never an issue. It’s a prime location next to the beach and sewerby and for local walks. We walked to and from Bridlington across the cliff tops daily, some times twice. The ship in is 2 mins away and is a lovely place to eat. We recommend the American Buffalo restaurant in Bridlington and the Apollo both near the sea front. We walked the nature walk to Danes Dyke a few times it’s a nice walk.

Lovely cottage in the heart of Sewerby village, overlooking Sewerby Hall entrance.
Only few yards from the local pub and just a couple hundred yards further to cliff top walks.
Cottage was spotlessly clean and lovely and warm.
Ideal for a short winter break, with access to Bridlington and other east coast resorts just a short car ride away.

Lovely cottage - exactly as advertised.
Lovely cottage - exactly as advertised. Only suggestion would be improved blackout curtains - however , weren’t we lucky to have bright early morning sun!!
Location ideal for access for coastal walks and bike rides plus nearby Flamborough and Bridlington etc. peaceful - didn’t notice or hear traffic, only the occasional bus, despite living room being directly onto pavement.
Parking adequate for smaller cars - larger ones may struggle.

Swift cottage is absolutely beautiful in a stunning location.
Swift cottage is absolutely beautiful in a stunning location.
Unfortunately the shower is a problem. There was a sign in the bathroom informing us of a drainage problem. This must have worsened because the shower was actually unusable. The water took ages to drain and if we’d have left the shower running it would have flooded the bathroom and into the neighbours downstairs. We were only there for the weekend so coped. We informed the owner who said she’d get it fixed. I hope she does because it’s gorgeous.

We had a lovely stay at Swift Cottage,it was good value for money for the time of year (April), and it was clean. There were a few little things that may affect some folks more than others that are worth a mention, but I'd stress that these are minor and certainly didn't impact on our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed it and the cottage.
Heating- we had to Google how to work the heating! It did work and we did get warm enough, but some instructions for those less tech savvie would be useful.
Shower-the shower itself is fine, but the imminent threat of flooding does require some management (especially I imagine for those with long hair that might take a while to wash). This wasn't as big an issue as it sounds, we just used it at a lower pressure and all was well. You can't have an old cottage without some character to go with it!
Parking-parking was fine. If you've got a wider vehicle it's tight, but works. Shared space with the neighbours who are nice and accommodating (42), neighbour at no 2 didn't have a car so as long as she can access her gate there didn't seem to be a problem. We parked over the road just for convenience so that's also an option.
The ship Inn-has lovely food and very welcoming staff and very conveniently located.
Land train-access was very close and perfect to get into Bridlington
Beach-conveniently close (rocky beach) lots of steps (158) great for kids to count up and down, not so much fun if you have mobility issues.
Sewerby Hall-nice place, our kids liked the house, gardens and play area.

We have stayed there a number of times, but wouldn't stay again in the winter due to problems with the heating. It's a nice, clean cottage in a good location, but the heating is hit and miss.
