We had a lovely week at Pembroke House, the rooms are large. The games room was great. Garden is pretty, functional and sunny all day. We are a multi generational family aged between 21-78 and the dining and front rooms had plenty of seats, so bonus no fighting for chairs!
The kitchen is kitted out so well with everything you could need for self catering and there’s a lovely big BBQ.
The only negatives were the mattresses are possibly at the end of their life (very soft with roll together) and the bathrooms and kitchen are functional if a little dated.
Happisburgh beach is lovely and clean with good parking facilities.
We highly recommend Shambles cafe/bistro in North Walsham for a delicious dinner.

Excellent stay for my family, very good accommodation, clean and tidy. Great games room and garden. Large lounge and dining room. Beach a 10 min walk. Pub less than that. Small village shop. will definitely book a stay in the new year.

This place had everything we needed, as two families on a weekend trip together. Decent quality kitchen, lounge area with woodburner and lovely big sofas. Outside space with picnic table.
Spacious, clean. Near to the beach, lighthouse and pub food within 1/2 mile. The games room was fab too.

We had a wonderful week staying in Pembroke House.
We had a wonderful week staying in Pembroke House. The house itself is very well equipped, and has plenty of space for large groups ( we were 10 ). The location is excellent, very close to the beach, with good access for walking to local pubs and the lighthouse. We found the accommodation comfortable and welcoming. Everyone in our party commented on how homely the property felt. We would certainly recommend it and intent to return another time.

The house was a great space to be in, had everything we needed.
The house was a great space to be in, had everything we needed. The bed downstairs was propped up with a stool and a cushion and was not the most comfortable. The bathroom and tiles were not very clean and certain nooks and crannies could have had a bit more attention to detail. There wasn't a lot of choice but the local shops and pubs that were nearby were not open as normal due to the pandemic so we needed to be pretty self sufficient. Close to the beach and cycle routes. Great for bicycles and walking, many roads without pavements leading out of Happisburgh though. Overall, wonderful holiday, great house.

A warm and comfortable house with plenty of space. Just a short walk from beach and pub. 15 mins by car to supermarket. Ideal place for break. Some of the decor is a little tired in places, but it was clean and homely.

The bad points about the place is that it's not suitable for small dogs (Cockapoos).
The bad points about the place is that it's not suitable for small dogs (Cockapoos). There are gaps behinds the bushes that the dogs can get through, and the gates at the side to the front have a gaps that the dogs could wiggle under. It's was annoying to keep taking them out on a lead.
The sofas in the front room could do with replacing, all a bit knackard and uncomfortable. TV didn't have some channels, but after a full retune, HD channels and others were there.
However, apart from those issues, we did have a nice family holiday. We we able to cook meals in the evening, play games in the games room. The pool table looks almost new, and the children had lots of fun playing ping-pong after gluing a few of the bats back together.
There were plenty of board games to play in the drawers under the TV, which were enjoyed by all.
There isn't much around, a pub up the road, and I think there was a small post office. This wasn't really a problem for us, as we went out driving somewhere most days and picked up supplies on the way back. It's a small walk to the beach, where there was also a play area and zip wire for the kids (and one or two of the adults too).
You have a lovely view of the light house from the house, but unfortunately we found we had to book to go up it. This is also true with the owl sanctuary up the road.
We all enjoyed our nice break, and enjoyed time with family, which at the end of the day is the most important bit.

Lovely welcoming house.
Lovely welcoming house. 6 adults and 4 kids all fitted in easily. Kids loved the games room and adults appreciated the open fire. It was cold and raining outside, cosy inside. Fairly near to Cromer which we loved and Bewilderwood. Great place for kids. Would go again and fully recommend.
