The cottage was very clean and had everything you would need. Good quality furnishings. Sofa's not very comfortable - shiny leather which you kept sliding off of! Apart from that very nice.

Absolutely loved our stay at Dippers Folly. The cottage was very clean, cosy and well equipped, there was nothing we needed. The location was amazing and peaceful and we loved the views of the river from our balcony. The host Rachel was friendly and welcoming on arrival and she clearly has made every effort to make sure everyone has the best stay possible. Our first escape from Lockdown so cleanliness and social distancing paramount.
Garden perfect site to picnic with our family living locally and take aways whilst watching for kingfishers (3) and dippers (9) sightings between us.
There are two dippers on the wall seen on our first evening - excitement means they are out of focus!

We had a lovely 4 night break at Dippers Folly, it is in a peaceful & quiet location with walks into the countryside right from the door, or just sit on the balcony or in the river garden watching the wildlife. The fixtures & fittings, linen etc are all of high quality, & the cleanliness was of an exceptional standard, very reassuring in these times! The owner was friendly & helpful yet unobtrusive. We loved it & will definitely return.

Great time at Dippers Folly.
Great time at Dippers Folly. The cottage was lovely and very well equipped with great instructions / info from the host. Very clean and good value. The master bed was a double rather than king or twins (which could be pushed together). That’s the only reason it did not score higher in our review. Well located for day trips out to Bath, Cheddar Gorge, Glastonbury and Stonehenge.

Very well appointed and spotlessly clean, with very high standard of furniture and appliances (although the leather sofas tend to be slippery). The cottage has a small private terrace overlooking the weir and a secluded private garden by the side of the river further along the access drive, with parking for up to three cars outside the front door. There is a large TV and DVD player, and radio/CD player together with books, CDs and DVDs and good WiFi - even a pair of binoculars for watching the Dippers and Kingfishers. A lovely, comfortable and beautifully appointed cottage in a picturesque riverside setting a few minutes drive from Frome.

Clean, comfortable, well-equipped cottage in fabulous location next to a weir, great for bird-watching - dippers, kingfishers, herons, wagtails.. etc. Close to Somerset/Wiltshire tourist spots - Avebury, Stourhead, Longleat, Bath, Wells, Cheddar, Weston-Super-Mare etc. Friendly helpful owner. Highly recommended.

Fabulous cottage in a beautiful location.
Fabulous cottage in a beautiful location. Immaculate in all areas not a lot in the immediate vicinity but nothing that a lovely 45 minute walk along a pretty river did not solve. Enjoyed every minute and so close to so many attractions.
