Oh, where do I start? The listing promises “grand mountain retreat , maintained and cared for, rustic mountain décor”…truth is furnished in flea market and garage sale…worn out!…found trash around when we checked in, deck has no reasonable seating ( 3 Walmart camp chairs, one broken and a tiny metal cafe table with 2 chairs, one had only 3 legs.)
Kitchen utensils are antique and no appropriate grill tools.
No A/C…that’s in the listing, small print, I missing when booking…at this price it was expected. Upstairs was over 90 degrees when we arrived.
Back sliding door broken, could not be locked & hard to operate (to be fair, there was a rather old looking sign that the door was broken and in process of being repaired???)
Summary: inaccurate description, overpriced and not maintained….look elsewhere.

The house was nice with a well stocked kitchen. The hot tub was delightful. There were very limited towels (1 per person?) . We had to call for more and there were no towels for the hot tub. Our only complaint is we were charged $519 from VRBO and another $467 from VACASA for booking! Over $1,000 for 4 nights over and above the rent, cleaning etc. I called VRBO and was told since we found it on their site we were charged. It is a VACSA’s business expense not the clients. Beware.

Best time. The house was perfect for my family. Balcony views of the snow capped mountains were amazing!

Completely enjoyable house - would definitely recommend to anyone with a larger group. We had six people during our stay and we had room to spare. Would highly recommend. We plan to book again.

My family loves staying at this house, we have stayed here 3 years in a row. Great location and layout with lots of entertainment..

Perfect for 5 adults and 3 kids. Lots of space to enjoy activities indoors, but also perfectly located near the shuttle and the village to get outdoors. Incredible views, amazing property, and even though we were snowed in by blizzard conditions we were happy to be in such a perfect home.

My family and I visited this house recently to take my family to Mammoth for their first time and they fell in love with the area and the house. The house has all the amenities that we needed for a family of 10.
6.0 / 10.0
The location was central to all of Mammoth Lakes. The house was spacious with great common areas. The downside is that some things are broken or not working. The refrigerator could not handle cooling food and we lost an entire refrigerator full of food and when Vacasa came to fix it, they told me it was working fine. The ice maker on the fridge made about 20 ice cubes over 4 days. There were only enough towels for 6 people despite a reservation for 10. The video game machines downstairs did not work. The garbage disposal on the sink was broken and would not drain.
8.0 / 10.0
The house is nice, albeit a bit dated. The ripped carpet on the back porch should really be fixed. Also, since the house does not have ac, all the windows should have screens so renters can let more air through without letting bugs in. Vacasa offered to bring more fans if we felt we needed them, which I thought was nice.
Vacasa's communication was incredible. They responded to texts extremely fast and followed up even when not prompted. For this reason alone I would rent a Vacasa run property again.

The house was very accommodating for three families. Everyone had a wonderful time.

Overall good stay
Everything good overall- although some of the slats on the bunk beds were broken, basically making them unusable, and the propane in the grill was empty, so had to exchange it for a new tank

Great location and spacious rooms.
Great place to go skiing in Mammoth.

The home was big, and comfortable! The 2 king bed suites were almost identical, with wonderful bathtubs, separate shower. Our king bed was very comfortable. All of us enjoyed the game room, and hot tub. We went during the summer, so we didn't use the indoor fireplace.
The home is very centrally located in Mammoth.
As typical with ski homes, there is very minimal carpet, so it's ready to hear footsteps, stairs, etc. However it wasn't bothersome. I would highly recommend.

Beautiful Rental
This rental was awesome! Beautiful house, beautiful area, quiet neighborhood. Everything was great from the amenities, to the location. Only one very small complaint. The hot tub worked and worked well, it just seemed like it needed some chemicals. It seemed clean but had too much froth and a detergent smell to it. This was the assessment of a friend who owns one. I’m not a hot tubologist so I don’t know. But great place, will definitely come back!!

Amazing!
Our family of 10 throughly enjoyed our stayed here. Everything was clean, kitchen was well stocked and it was only 1 minute drive to the lifts. We had plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Only “negatives” were that the water heater would randomly turn off (I'm sure they were aware since there were instructions on how to reset it) and the dishwasher was broken when we arrived. Other than that, the place was great, and we would definitely stay again!

Views !!!
Beautiful, well maintained property at a convenient location to all activities. Stunning view of the mountains. We stayed for 5 nights, 4 kids 4 adults. Plenty of space. Smart TV, pool table, fuz table, hot tube. 5-8 min drive to cross country, snowmobile, ski chalet areas. Local grocery store 3 min drive. Plenty of restaurants for takeout options. Had an amazing stay.

Beautiful Home
We loved this home but there was a couple of things that made me give it only a 3 star. It was very dirty when we got there. The bathrooms were not completely clean, dining room table still had food crumbs on it. And in the morning the sun was so intense in the kitchen you literally could not stand in there for to long.

This place was awesome, everyone loved it. So relaxing but yet if you want to play pool head downstairs. Totally would come back

Lovely home to stay in for vacation
We stayed for a week during the beginning of August. The house is just as listed, as far as looks and cleanliness go. Our stay was during the COVID pandemic, so the cleaning standards were very high, and everything was made very nice for us. I missed somewhere along the line that because of the COVID there would be no blankets provided on the beds. I found out later this was listed on the Vacasa listing, and I only was reading Vrbo listing information. We ended up buying blankets from a store in town.
Plenty of kitchenware and bathroom amenities available for use. They provided "starter kits" as far as dish soap, trash bags, dish washing detergent, 1 roll of paper towels, two dish towels, one sponge, hand soap, laundry detergent, toilet paper, bath/hand/wash towels, and kitchen gadgets. The pots and pans, as mentioned in other comments, could use replacing. We brought our own pans. We also brought our own kitchen/bath/laundry soaps, TP, paper towels, kitchen towels, trash bags, as I wasn't sure what would be provided, but I've been told that it's always a good idea to bring your own just in case. Also, the things not provided: foil, ziplocks, plastic ware for storing food, and any kind of special bbq tools you might normally use. There might be other things that I can't think of at the moment.
We were happy to see that the propane tank was full for use on the bbq, but the temperature never reached cooking temperature so we ended up not using the bbq. I'm not sure if it has to do with the altitude or not.
The hot tub was clean and ready for use right away. It was pretty spectacular to sit in it at night and look up at the beautiful stars.
As I mentioned before, our stay was during August, and the weather was pretty lovely (mid 70s to low 80s during the day), and the upstairs portion of the house does get pretty warm during the day, so be sure to leave all the doors and windows open that you can. The house does not have a/c, as is the norm with most mountain homes. When we were there all of the doors and windows that could open were screened, so we were able to open everything up.
They have all of the TV apps on their downstairs TV, so just remember to use your own login. They also have satellite TV stations as well.
Check-in was super easy...use a link texted to you and tap "check-in." Check out was just as easy. Location is centrally located between town and the lakes above. So many other positives that can't fit here. Just stay here!

Great location
Love the home and would absolutely stay there again. The only thing I feel should be communicated better with guests is that no blankets are provided for guests due to Covid. When receiving texts regarding upcoming stay it should be a reminder for guests to bring their own bedding.

Conflicting instructions
For the most part we very much enjoyed the house. However there were conflicting instructions posted in the house. 1)There was NO PROPANE for the BBQ grill even though the instructions on the refrigerator stated that the grill is cleaned and propane filled after every visit. We had to fill the tank ourselves. 2) One sign said that trash is removed from cans by cleaning staff and another said that we had to take it with us. 3) One sign said beds must be stripped and another said the cleaning staff would do it. 4) Check out time in an email was 10 but on one of the signs in the house it was 11. 5) Most of the skillets were disgusting; non stick surfaces were flaking and burnt residue. 6) Signs in all bathrooms stated to use the provided makeup removers and not the towels. However there was only ONE in the entire house.

Great mountain cabin
Great location, lovely space for family vacation in Mammoth Lakes. The cabin was today but not as clean expected (fur balls, dust bunnies and crumbs under/in couches noticed when retrieving tossed baby toys). Great views. Faucet leaked, flooded under sink area and it took 2 days for VACASA management company pickup my calls to report the problem. Overall, nice home but could use better cleaning and maintenance/management teams.

Perfect Mountain Home (with a few things to note)
This house has the perfect layout for multiple families with children. The upstairs has a kitchen, great room and one master. The downstairs has a great room/game room, another master and two more bedrooms. It’s a close drive to eagle and canyon. When upstairs you have beautiful views of trees which makes if feel like a real mountain home. There is also a huge mud room for all your winter gear. We loved using the jacuzzi after being on the mountain all day.
A few things to note: the pans for cooking were not good. Many of them were ruined and burnt on the bottom. Maybe bring your own pan for cooking. Here are some items that you might want to bring that the house did not have: cooking spray for the pans, tin foil, zip locks, Tupperware, plastic bowls/drinking ware if you have children (everything was glass), extra towels for the jacuzzi. You have to run the showers and bath for a good 5-10 minutes before you get hot water. The water heater went out one morning leaving us with no hot water. Someone was there to help us in 2 hours. The water heater in the garage just needed to be reset by flipping off and on again.
For Management: It would be helpful to have instructions for the 6 remote controls for the TV. The surround sound is also really hard to hear unless cranked up loud. You might want to discard all the burnt pans. The driveway was a good 5 inch layer of ice during our stay. Both men on our trip had bad falls and they have both had back surgery so, no bueno. Maybe just give tenants a heads up to be extremely careful of the iced driveway upon arrival.

Was perfect for our 4 generations.
My parents (great grandparents) stayed on the main level and did not Have to navigate the stairs. There was a powder room on the main level I gave access to a bathroom outside their room. Downstairs the Foos ball and pool table for perfect for extra fun. Downstairs also have a king size bed which was perfect for me and my husband. The other two rooms were perfect for our son, his wife and grandsons. The kitchen was large and well stocked. There were TVs in every room with Dish satellite and access to YouTube and Netflix. Wonderful stay.

Really Nice place, but could use a few upgrades to be excellent
House is beautiful, spacious, very clean and located in a very nice neighborhood. It also has many amenities and the kitchen is large with plenty of utensils and pots, etc. Living room also very spacious. Finally, the large porch on the second level is also very nice for hanging out on in the afternoon and evening.
However, there is no screen door on the master bedroom access way to the porch. This makes the room quite hot as you can not keep it open because mosquitoes and moths will stream into the room.
Additionally, the property does not advertise that there is no window in the room with the bunk beds. It was a nice space for the kids for sleeping, but the window in the room is completely boarded up and therefore the room has no natural light.
Finally, the first floor balcony is cluttered with bark and firewood which is an eyesore from both lower bedrooms and and makes it very unwelcoming for sitting and hanging out on the porch on that level.

Everything was great at this house was hot upstairs and couldn’t leave slider open in upstairs master-bedroom cause there was no screen on the door and bugs kept coming. Other than that rverything was nice.
