comfortable beds warmnand cosy cottage

The beds were super comfy...had the most amazing nights sleep. Lovely hot shower. The cottage had a cosy feel and once the heating was on it was very warm. Although on a busy road it was just a short walk into the village. The cottage was very clean and tidy and had everything we needed. By the end of the week, it felt like home and we were sad to leave.
Unfortunately, as the cottage is on a busy road, when sitting in the living room in the evening, it is very noisy, which cant be helped, however there are big gaps around the front door which let in the noise and some drafts. Some draft insulation around the door and a heavy curtain across the front door would be ideal. The traffic quietens down after 11pm and we always got a good nights sleep. The 'welcome' folder wasn't found until we had been there two days, It had been put on the bottom shelf of the bookshelf behind the dining room table...suggestion would be to leave it on the coffee table. Heated towel rail in the bathroom didn't work but the electric heater soon warmed the room up.

Stairs were too steep

The location
The garden
Stairs are very steep
Bathroom cramped and toilet required 3/4 flushes after every use

Excellent location. Very comfortable.
Kitchen tap dripped. Toilet flush was poor. These are minor problems compared with the lovely stay we had.

Lovely big garden leading out onto a common - dog loved it
Brilliant location
Good size bath and bathroom
Kitchen right size for our needs
Stairs are a little steep so care needed .....especially after a few at the local pubs 😉

The location was perfect. A bus-stop close to the front door, the centre of the town close by and the back garden leading onto the common with a network of paths.
The key-safe took several attempts to open. The stairs required care owing to their steepness and would not be suitable for anyone with impaired mobility or balance.

Location was great with plenty of places to eat and drink. Charming village which we had visited before. property was great apart from a few niggles which didnt spoil our stay (see below)
There was no freezer which was a bit awkward being as we had taken frozen food with us. Although the fridge worked well and there was a small freezer compartment. The toilet/bathroom door did not lock and the rental company changed the handle but unfortunately it still did not lock. Also toilet paper did not flush from the pan. The rental company were aware and planned to rectify these minor issues. Don,t let this put you off booking.

location, cleanliness, downstairs was great as was the lovely garden out to fields at the rear.
stairs are very steep (we were aware prior and made decision two members of family would cope).
no mirror in main bedroom- minor point
little space to hang wet towels.
7.0
Good outside space.
Confortable beds and generous size towels.
Good location
Washing machine provided but no pegs for hanging out washing.
Difficult staircase, steep and awkward.
Disappointed that there is no facility available for re-cycled waste.
Parking facility in the village is difficult.

The garden and the kitchen and lounge
The stairs to the bedrooms. They should have been emphasised more exactly how steep they are for anyone who may suffer with arthritis like myself. They were more like loft stairs. I know I would be able to go up but not come down. I had to sleep on the settee which was not ideal. The bath is difficult as there is no hand rail and the tap for the bath is placed in the way of allowing yourself to get in easily.

Beautiful Cottage and garden , lovely location
We will definitely visit again.
All good

Location was good , despite being on a busy road it was not noisy evening and overnight. The garden was great with access to a field at the back.
I think its very important to stress the ladder-like staircase, very challenging for older and younger guests.
