We invite you to stay awhile in our villa for six, at the Ocean Gate Villas complex of South Forest Beach.
“Beauty and the Beach” (Unit 15) is a true, private, end unit, with a side yard, new larger deck and on the edge of the bicycle path. We are a five-minute walk to the most beautiful beach by way of a wooded, beach path. This expansive and uncrowded beach area is nestled on the edge of Sea Pines with private homes, not hotels. From our villa, by foot or by pedal, we are near beach-side grilles and sixty restaurants within a three-mile radius. Coligny Plaza, the downtown area, is less than two miles away.
Additionally, our villa is just steps to the pickleball and tennis court, a basketball hoop and the swimming pool. It is such a convenience enjoying these amenities in YOUR own backyard. Plus, this small, friendly establishment is uncrowded, rarely busy, and is not a noisy one.
As our name implies, this is a beautiful place and beach. Our villa is bright, light and uncluttered. You’ll appreciate the breathtaking Live Oak trees dripping in Spanish Moss as well as the (official state tree) Palmetto Palms. The livingroom furniture is comfortable with a Smart HD TV perched upon the marble-top console. You’ll find DVD’s for both TV's on the main level and upstairs. Internet and cable TV are provided free of charge. The bar chairs and the high-top table are fun for gaming, socializing, and dining. Inside the teal cabinet, you’ll discover glass (and plasticware) for beer, wine and margaritas. A “Ninja” blender and a “Bullet” mixer for making smoothies or cocktails, and glass pitchers or a large thermos are provided to contain your creations. The kitchen is fully stocked with glassware, dishware, plastic containers, baking accessories, quality pots and pans and we’ve included a spice carousel. Enjoy brewed coffee (Keurig or Mr.Coffee pot style) or tea at the kitchen table with a view of greenery.
Additionally, on the main level, there’s a half bathroom with a vanity cabinet and a new, full size, washer and dryer in the laundry room. There you’ll find a basket of beach towels for your use. Feel free to make use of the beach chairs, beach umbrella and the boogie board for the young (or young at heart).
Upstairs, enter the Loft with a single, pull-out, sofa bed and an extra-large, uncovered, picture window. Beautiful sun rays provide light to both the upstairs and the main level. This area has two, swivel chairs, a contemporary, multi-height desk and a DVD player.
In the Master bedroom relax on the comfy Queen-sized bed and enjoy the Smart HD TV. This bedroom has plenty of storage space and has its’ own 3-piece bathroom (tub and shower, sink, commode) with vanity. Right next door is the Guest Bedroom accommodating four: a bunk bed with a single (twin) on top and a double (full sized) bed on bottom. Plus, there is a stand alone single (twin) bed in the room and plenty of storage. This room also has its’ own 3-piece bathroom and vanity.
At dusk, perhaps while you are grilling shrimp on the “barbe”, you may encounter a deer or two, if you’re very still. While relaxing on the new deck, you are likely to hear the Atlantic waves when the breeze is in your direction.
A haven to Chill, or be as Adventurous as you like. HHI, is the ticket offering a vast array of activities. Come, stay awhile at “Beauty and the Beach”.

Great experience. Clean place. Very comfortable beds! Small T.V.:(! Will definitely revisit. That said, the pool does need attention--this is our third year here and it always needs to be vacuumed and the skimmers don't work. The tennis court is old and worn.

This was a great little gem right outside of Sea Pines. Quiet, clean, great location and we felt like we had our own private pickleball court and pool! The hosts were super quick to respond and very helpful.

My family had a great time at this property. It was conveniently located between sea pines and Coligny plaza. There was very little car traffic in the area leaving the short walk to the beach a breeze, even with small kids. Both the walk to the beach and the property were nice and shaded. The community pool was great. The unit was exactly as advertised, fitting our family of 4 very comfortably.

Clean property. Comfortable beds. Pool was on the small side but never overly crowded. Walk to the beach is more pleasant that other locations at which I’ve stayed as it wasn’t in direct sun until in sight of the beach. Owner responsive to a couple questions that came up during the stay. We visit HHI every summer, and this is a convenient location. It’s nice to be able to park your car right at the entrance to the condo. The only negative is that lighting in the bathrooms isn’t the greatest for makeup application. However, that would not affect my desire to stay here again.

This condo was in a great location! Short walk to the beach, and the pool and tennis/pickle ball courts were right out back. There is also a bike path right by the house, which we used everyday. We really enjoyed staying at this place and would come back again!

Beauty and the Beach lived up to its name. It was a very nice stay. Our family had everything we needed and enjoyed our time in the villa and the close access to areas on the island that we were interested in. When we needed a break from the beach, we really enjoyed the amenities right outside the door (pool, tennis/pickle ball, bball, and relaxing on deck). All in all, it was enjoyable and comfortable. Lastly, great instructional detail that made it easy.

We were 4 adults for a week and loved the Villa we stayed in. It was very close to the pool and a short walk to the beach. The Villa was very comfortable and very well stocked. We very much want to come back next year.

We enjoyed our stay immensely at The Beauty and the Beach . It was was perfectly located to the beach, restaurants and many others amenities . The host communicated very well with us by email prior to our arrival , and included a folder with clear directions to all pertinent information. .

The home was lovely. All the essentials needed were provided. The home was comfortable, cozy, and well decorated. There was plenty of space for two parents and two older kids to have their own space. The hosts were kind and accommodating, and when we had a bit of trouble with the electronic door lock, the hosts were right there, remotely, to assist. Beach is a 7 min walk on a perfect bike path away. So grateful to our hosts for offering their home, and would stay again anytime.

Owners were wonderful to work with and very responsive. The property is outstanding. Having separate floors for the bedrooms and living area is super nice with kids and the bedroom situation is perfect. Very easy walk to the beach and the Pickleball/tennis courts and basketball hoop made our week with active kids so fun. We definitely hope to be back.

Enjoyed our stay in Hilton Head. The condo had everything we needed and was located in a quiet area of the island. We walked to the beach and it was very relaxing and very few people. Loved listening to the ocean and people/animal watching.The people in the complex were very friendly. There are a lot of great shop’s nearby and yummy restaurants too. I would recommend going to Sea Pines and Bluffton which are very close. We took a day trip to Savannah which was less than an hour away. We would enjoy staying here again.

We had a terrific stay at this well-equipped, clean, wonderfully located condo. the complex is beautiful, quiet, and a five-minute walk along a beautiful path through the trees to the beach. The hosts were uber communicative throughout our visit, although, to be honest, with such a nicely prepared place, there wasn't much need to communicate beyond thanking them for a wonderful stay.

My family and I had a great stay at Kim and Kevin's place. It is a nice short walk to the beach and close to shopping and some outdoor parks including Audubon Newhall Preserve and Pinckney Island. Kim and Kevin take great care in the house, it is well decorated and very comfortable for sleeping, eating and spending time with family and friends.

Very nice comfortable end unit Villa that has all the little extras that make for a fun, relaxing family vacation at the beach. Enjoyed the close proximity to bike trails, Pickleball, pool, Sea Pines entrance, grocery stores, and only 5min. walk to beach. The Villa was perfectly furnished with all the comforts of home and stocked with the needed initial necessities. Beautiful new deck and gas grill out back to enjoy some grilling and the peaceful wooded setting (we saw a Momma deer and 2 fawns pass thru one evening). Thanks Kim and Kevin for your quick responsiveness to questions and for providing excellent hospitality. Would love to come visit again some day.

The condo is clean and comfortable. It has plenty of space. We had two couples staying and really liked having a private bath for each family. The kitchen is well stocked and had everything we needed to make meals. The back porch was another favorite spot for relaxing. We enjoyed the pool which was right outside the unit. The beautiful beach is about a five minute walk on a lovely tree lined trail. There are many restaurants, bars and grocery stores nearby. You would either need a car or a bike at this location as most things are not within walking distance. We did have an issue with the air conditioning not working for one day. The owner was responsive and did get it repaired. The grounds of the property are well kept. This is a relaxing place to stay that feels like a home.

This condo is beautifully decorated and exactly as pictured. The location of the condo is a short drive to every place you’d want to go. It’s a great location for a relaxing getaway. The loft area is super cute and a nice area to hang out in. The owners are very responsive to all questions and were super helpful when we first got there. Would definitely come back to this location! We were looking for a relaxing week away and definitely enjoyed our time in unit 15 (Beauty and the Beach).

We enjoyed our stay at the Beauty and the Beach villa. The villa was clean and decorated beautifully. It was the perfect size and layout for what our family of 6 needed. We were easily able to cook meals, do laundry, play games on the larger table and relax! The beach was an easy and short walk and it was very uncrowned which was nice also. We are already looking forward to staying again next summer!

Loved their unit! It was only one of 15 in the entire complex, and had Pickleball/tennis and basketball court right outside the back door as well as the pool. Their back deck was a great happy hour hang out.
The beach walk was an interesting trail right outside the back to a beautiful, not very populated beach. The house was really comfortable and slept all of us easily.

Wonderful property. Great size for our family of 6 (three young children). Hosts were incredibly kind and communicated very well. We enjoyed tennis and pool right outside the door. It was also very lovely being right outside sea pines, as the beach wasnt crowded at all. We ended up biking the kids to the beach, as the walk would tire them out some (ages 2,3,5). But the walk path itself through the woods is beautiful!

Our family has been vacationing in HHI for almost 20 years, our long term rental fell through so we had to find a new place to stay for our annual beach week. This condo was great! We loved the location! The area was not busy and it was a short walk to an almost private stretch of beach. The unit itself was clean, nicely updated/decorated, and fully stocked. Pool & tennis/pickleball/basketball court all steps from the back deck. Easy access to bike trails and close to Coligny Plaza for shopping/restaurants. Owners were also responsive and easy to work with. We hope to come back!

We had a wonderful week staying at this townhome. It was clean, plenty of room for a family of 5 and a great location. The walk to the beach was quick and fun. We enjoyed staying near Sea Pines and purchased a weekly pass so we could go to the Salty Dog and Lighthouse without worrying about paying daily to enter. We would definitely stay again. The hosts were helpful, quick to respond and easy to deal with!

We loved this property. It was spotless, bright, and airy. The hosts were very helpful and responsive. It's a convenient quiet location, with an easy walk to the beach. I worked remotely from the desk in the loft area--good WiFi and a comfortable, adjustable desk. We plan to come back next year!

Lovely, comfortable, clean, well equipped and tastefully decorated vacation home that is a short 5 minute walk to the beach. Walking and cycling on the beach was wonderful.
We also immensely enjoyed the extensive cycling paths all over the island and appreciated that most paths were under a canopy of trees.
We had a lovely vacation and Kim and Kevin were excellent hosts who communicated promptly to our questions.

This place is right at the intersection of affordability and convenient location to the beach. My family of 5 with 3 young children always felt safe especially on our short walk to the beach. The beach itself here is just far away enough from Coligny plaza and felt like our private beach! Would definitely stay again. We enjoyed our visit to Beauty & the Beach and HHI. Everything was exactly as described and we absolutely loved the sweet little wooded path that took us right to the beach. The kitchen had everything we needed and the property is very well maintained, private and beautifully decorated. I really loved the art! We were very comfortable and had everything we needed during our stay. Unfortunately, we had to leave early due to the hurricane that was fast approaching HHI, and are very grateful for all the help that Kim and Kevin provided to make sure we were safe. We are looking forward to returning soon and finishing our vacation. I highly recommend Kim and Kevin’s amazing Beauty and the Beach property. Thank you again for everything!
