Kamaole Sands is located in Kihei, south Maui, which is the drier side of the island and borders the exclusive neighborhood of Wailea. Its 15 acres of lush tropical gardens are carefully landscaped with colorfully lit fountains and waterfalls. Enjoy the large pool, a children’s pool, two Jacuzzis as well as the workout room, four tennis courts and eight gas barbeques. The resort is located in walking distance to Maui’s best beaches. It’s only a three minute walk to the pool or three minutes to the ocean. Around the corner from the resort are the upscale Shops of Wailea, restaurants, Wailea golf courses or you can turn the other way to visit some of Kihei ‘s fine dinners, boutiques, activities, and grocers. The resort has a 24 hour front desk, computer terminals, an activity desk and evening security. This property is clean and well-equipped. Located right across the beach and within walking distance to restaurants and shops. The landscaping of this complex is prettier than the others I see in Kihei.

Our stay here was outstanding. The condo was clean, comfortable, and had everything you could need. The large lanai was perfect for morning coffee, afternoon relaxing, and sunset dinners. The condo is just steps across the street from the beach, and a short walk to restaurants and stores. The owner reached out after we arrived to make sure everything was up to standards. I’d recommend this condo in a heart beat.

This was our first visiting Kihei in September 2023. While looking for a place to stay we found this property at the Kamaole Sands Resort, and what a hidden GEM. To start our Host Rita, was amazing! Great communication about everything from start to finish of the rental. The condo was PERFECT in every way. Anything you need to make your stay comfortable, and enjoyable Rita has available at the condo. The condo was well decorated., The lanai is large,and my favorite spot to sit to enjoy the ocean. The beach is directly across the road...steps away from our condo, and was easy to walk to. I would love to come back to Kihei, and this condo will be our choice. Sherrie

Large balcony with seating and ocean view. Nice that they had beach towels and gear to take to the beach. Updated modern kitchen. Great location in Kihei, close to Wailea. Bedroom was a little dark but nice having 2 bathrooms. Condo complex was nice with bbq areas and pool area (small relative to how big the complex was) but then again the beach was across the street!

The Kamaole Sands resort is really impressive—very well maintained, with beautiful grounds, large swimming pool with separate hot tubs for adults only and families with kids, great barbecue and picnic table setup and good location right across from Kamaole Beach No. 3. It is a great place for families (our adult children with kids had their own condos in the same building). The condo in which we stayed was also well maintained and very well equipped. I am especially impressed by how well the kitchen was equipped, including high quality cookware and knives, lots of dishes and glassware, serving bowls, plastic storage containers and cutting boards.

The condo was excellent. It was just as the host Rita had described it. The view from the lanai was fantastic! It was well stocked and organized. I can’t think of something we wished it had that it didn’t. We will definitely look to book this unit in our future visits.

This property was fantastic. The condo’s patio is great for the morning sunrise and has a beach/water view for the sunset. The kitchen is well stocked which makes grocery shopping and cooking much easier. The in unit washer/dryer was also great for a midweek laundry load or for wet swim suits. The beds (bedroom and pullout couch) were very comfortable!
Location - truly a 1-2 minute walk to the beach and easy access to wailea and other neighboring towns!
Kamaole sands - the tennis courts were free and easy to rent out! They were in great condition.

Kihei is the place to stay!
We've stayed at Kamaole Sands before and were looking to stay again. Rita's location was ideal: close to the beach without being on the road and upstairs for the view and the Tradewinds. The condo had all the items we needed: beach towels, ice chests, beach chairs, washer/dryer, well-appointed kitchen, and more. The bed was comfortable. We saw turtles in the water across from the condo everyday. Restaurants and shops were easy to walk to (visit Coconuts :-). We would absolutely stay here again with pleasure.

Everything we wanted and more
This was our first time renting through VRBO and I could not have been happier with this location and the process overall. Property was clean, spacious, and offered way more in the form of amenities then I was expecting. Good view of the ocean from the lanai and quite literally a 3 min walk to the ocean/beach. This experience has set a very high bar for any future reservations we will be making! I cannot recommend this property enough!

Kam sands
We had a great time. Views from the balcony of the west maui mountain and kam sand beach were amazing. Kitchen was well appointed. Need comfortable. The condo complex is kids friendly. Pool area ping pong table and Foosball was a plus. Beach across the street is part of a park and was a hit with the kids who love to boogie board.

Wonderful place to stay in Kihei
We love this condo! It's beautifully decorated, very clean and comfortable and has a great location. There are beach chairs, coolers, boogie boards, beach towels, everything you need for the beach. We always enjoy our stay here very much and will be back. And bonus, Rita is wonderful to work with and kept in touch with us during our stay.

Overall, this condo is very good. Well equipped in terms of kitchen utensils, beach chairs, even some snorkel equipment. One of the closer units to the beach in the complex and a partial (but not full) ocean view from the porch. Communication with the owner was very good. One small complaint was no shampoo was provided, so you may need to bring your own. Otherwise, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this condo to someone visiting Maui for easy access to the beach, a comfortable space for two people, and a convenient location from which to explore the island.

Very nice location
I would have given this a 5 star, but the bedroom was miserably hot. AC unit was not working well and required a fan pointed at the AC so it wouldn't overheat. This took up about 25% of the lanai since doors had to be kept wide open. Owner stated that she planned to install a AC unit in bedroom which would be a big plus.

Great location - condo not as advertised
The location of this property was great, very close to beaches and lots of restaurants. The condo is adequate but there is no air conditioning in the bedroom and it gets extremely hot. This is a very old building with some upgrades. This condo is very bare bones when it comes to kitchen utensils and there is absolutely nothing in the cupboards outside of salt and pepper. We have stayed in many VRBO’s and this was by far the most sparse we have ever encountered. You need to buy everything. The dish washer is very finicky, we had to have someone to come and look at it. The patio is large but unfortunately the outside closet doors are propped open for the air conditioning unit and this took away the ambience of being outside on the deck. As well, the view is not as listed. You do get a view of the beach but not as advertised. I would give the property 3 out of 5 stars.

Perfect Hineymoon
It was so easy start to finish. We were able to self guide the booking. The directions they gave us were detailed. The room itself had a beach view. Perfect size for a couple! The weather is extremely humid, but luckily a swamp cooler and fans were provided! Highly recommend! The owner Contacted us throughout the stay which was appreciated!

Second time in this beautiful condo.
The best thing about this condo, aside from the beautiful decor, well stocked kitchen and many extras like beach chairs, boards and cooler, etc, is the location. It's toward the end of building 10, almost at Kihei Road, which is opposite the ocean. So there is a great, uninterrupted view of the ocean and beautiful views of the sunset which we enjoy on the large comfortable lanai. Also wonderful, the ocean breeze which you can maximize by opening the doors and windows. This is our second stay at 10-305, and we will definitely be back.

Beautiful place and location!
The place was very clean and had what we needed to make our 10 day stay very very comfortable. Lots of space, full kitchen and the lanai (balcony)with an ocean view where we spent our evenings just gorgeous. The beach is across the street, amendities down the road. If it wasn't for this central place we would not have been able to do everything we did. Thank you for providing us the comfort as we have at home but much much better views! Beautiful condo, great location, wonderful host!
We were in maui for our 25th anniversary had an amazing stay at Rita's condo! From the moment we stepped inside we felt relaxed and at home. Rita was very easy to communicate with before and during our stay. She sent us wonderful detailed instructions that made getting to and checking into the condo a breeze.
The condo itself is just beautiful! The photos don't do it justice. (FYI: the TV in the living room is bigger than stated and pictured. I'm assuming it was updated at some point.) The condo is very, very clean and appointed with just about anything you might need during your stay.
The king-size bed is very comfortable. It's a firm mattress but not hard and uncomfortable (our bed at home is not a firm and we were, still, very comfortable). The master bathroom was spacious and updated nicely. It had a hairdryer, and even a makeup mirror and a scale in the cabinet! There is plenty of closet and drawer space as well as bedding, towels and washcloths. The only things I would change or add would be brighter lighting in the bedroom for dressing (an easy fix might be to add a light to the fan) and a full length mirror. The kitchen is also well appointed. It even has a blender.
The air conditioning was wonderful as we were there in August. That said if you open the bedroom windows and the windows to the lanai we found that the winds cooled the condo down pretty good in the evenings. If there is no wind (I understand that's rare), the floor and ceiling fans do a good job of pulling the air conditioning into the bedroom making it comfortable.
The lanai is spacious (it really is) with a very comfortable, high end patio set and nice storage with ice chests, beach chairs, beach umbrella, boogie boards, pool toys, etc. There are even hooks on the lanai to hang your wet towels. Most importantly, the view from the lanai is amazing!
The location? Just amazing! This condo has a beautiful view of the ocean and the grounds. You get the best of both with this condo! If you want an ocean view at Kamaole, this is it. Just beautiful. And such a short walk to the beach. It was wonderful!
This condo is so well appointed it is easy to just do what you came to maui to do. Relax! I would recommend this condo to anyone and would definitely rebook it if available.
