Welcome to Peaceful Lake Getaway!
This beautifully furnished and updated home is located on a quiet cul-de-sac in the heart of the Great Waters community at the exclusive Reynolds Lake Oconee development. Great Waters is a private gated community with a 24-hour security guard at the entrance gate. It is adjoined by the beautiful Lake Oconee, Georgia's second largest inland lake.
The Great Waters community has a private swimming pool, tennis court, and a sandy beach on the lake. For those that enjoy the lake life, there are rental boats and jet skis available for water sports such as boating, skiing, and tubing. If you enjoy fishing, there are professional guides, with their own boats, that can hook you up with Largemouth Bass, Hybrid, and Crappie. The marina is only a 3 minute drive from the home. You can bring your own boat or rent one from the Great Waters Marina. It really is hard to beat an early evening sunset dinner cruise on one of the pontoon rental boats.
The open floor plan on the main level has abundant sunlight and provides plenty of space to enjoy time with family and friends. The family room includes a sofa, recliner, and two swivel chairs to relax and watch your favorite shows on a 55" flat screen TV. If you are visiting during the cold months, there is a wood burning fireplace for a cozy atmosphere. The dining room has a sideboard and a large dining table that comfortably seats eight. There are also two bar stools for seats at the kitchen counter.
The updated gourmet kitchen has new stainless-steel appliances including a refrigerator, stove/oven, dishwasher, and microwave oven. All of the countertops have been replaced with beautiful granite. The small appliances include a toaster, coffee pot, espresso machine, blender, bullet, crock pot, mixer, and an electric wine opener.
There is an abundant supply of dishes, glasses, flatware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils.
Just off the living area for outside dining and enjoyment, there is a very large screened-in porch with a view of the lake. There is a propane grill to cook your favorite meal with a table and chairs for outside dining. Additionally, there are two lounge chairs to kick back after dinner under the three ceiling fans. All the table chairs and lounge chairs have over-stuffed cushions for your comfort! The main level has a laundry room including a new full-size washer and dryer. Just off the entrance foyer, there is an updated powder room.
Going upstairs you will find three tastefully furnished private bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own, highly requested, ensuite bathroom supplied with plenty of linens. These three bathrooms have all been updated with glass enclosed step-in showers with tile walls, tile floors, and granite vanity countertops. Two bedrooms have king-size beds, and the third bedroom has a queen-size bed. Each bedroom has a walk-in closet, dresser, two nightstands with lamps, luggage rack, ceiling fan, and a flat-screen TV.
Harmony Crossing Shopping Center is close by with restaurants and shops. A little further up the road there is a Publix grocery store, Parkside Main 8 movie theatre, and many more restaurants and shops. For antique hunters and those who enjoy exploring historic districts, there are the old downtown areas of Greensboro, Eatonton, and Madison only a short drive away. There are more restaurants and shops to visit in these towns, including some homes on the historic register.
If you have a very large party, such as a wedding, and you want all the guests to be close together, the home directly adjacent our home (Scenic Solitude) is also registered with St James Vacation Homes.
