We enjoyed our stay! Location was perfect! Very quiet but close to Asheville! Shari & Amy were awesome! Loved the fresh eggs, wine and truffles waiting for us when we arrived! The house was very clean and well maintained! We loved the hot tub and enjoyed hanging out on the big deck! I would definitely visit again!

We were only there for 3 nights, but the cabin was just as described. We really enjoyed our stay, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Great cabin with everything needed, and the communication was excellent. Definitely did not have cell phone coverage, but that was noted prior to our booking and we enjoyed that as well.

Very peaceful and relaxing location. Built into a steep hill overlooking many smaller rentals at firelightcabins. Windows and patio look out to beautiful green foliage in the spring. Great deck, but not much yard space directly adjacent to property. But lots of land to explore near the lower cabins and a great shared pavilion w fireplace. Near beautiful hiking trails, but a bit of a winding narrow drive just 20 mins outside of downtown Asheville. Was great for our 40-something girls weekend, but may be a few too many stairs for some.

We had a great stay - we especially enjoyed the well stocked kitchen (a rental with a great spice drawer?! amazing!) and the hot tub. Great location just far enough out to feel like a getaway but close enough to Asheville and Black Mountain to enjoy the sights. Very close to Warren Wilson which was wonderful for this alumni group. Thank you so much, I hope to return!

Wonderful property
This property was beautiful inside and equipped with everything we needed! The beds were so comfortable and robes were provided for quick trips in and out of the hot tub. Amy and Shari were so responsive and a delight to correspond with. My daughter loved visiting the chicken coop at the end of the road each day! Wonderful and relaxing stay!

Amy and Shari are delightful hosts! The fresh eggs from their chickens were amazing and the wine a welcome touch!

Perfect getaway
Our stay was absolutely perfect. This lovely rental was exactly what we were looking for when searching for a getaway in Asheville. Surrounded by lush trees on nearly all sides, the rental felt tucked away and secluded. All the while, it was only a short drive from everything downtown Asheville has to offer. Every single detail was thought through in the decor and feel of this beautiful space! We couldn’t more highly recommend staying there!

Wonderful Mountain. Home
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was nestled into the mountains but was very close to hiking sites and Asheville attractions. The home was spacious and comfortable and well equipped. We loved it and had a great time.

Awesome cabin
We enjoyed our trip and this cabin is beautifully decorated and has plenty of seating and rooms for large groups or small. Beds are so comfortable and nice touches like robes in the rooms to use. Highly recommend this place. We also had farm fresh eggs waiting in fridge for us and wine. Very nice

Beautiful and comfortable cabin. Fun deck with a nice hot tub and outdoor seating for dinner it games. The beds and bedding were super comfortable. Nice towels. Pretty fresh flowers from the property in vases around the house. Not too far from most hiking and in town activities. Kitchen was stocked with any items needed for meal prep. Would definitely recommend to others!

Perfect Mountain Getaway
My family- grandma, 3 adult children and 3 children ages 3&6 stayed here. It was wonderful. We spent a lot of time on the large deck-great for the kids to run around and play on. We equally enjoyed the hot tub, s’mores at the fire pit, playing in the stream and hiking the old logging road. We never thought about leaving the property. The house is spotless and well equipped. There is plenty of room for everyone. The owners are responsive and helpful. I hope to rent again.

February Getaway
Our stay was wonderful! Plenty of room for 3 couples. Kitchen was well equipped to cook dinner in every night! Hosts were wonderful with communication and we loved exploring the property. Note that the trail down to the firepit at Shope Creek is a little steep but we enjoyed taking the long way down the drive. Plenty of towels and pillows! Very close to the Ingles and only a 15 min trip to downtown. Thanks for having us!

Perfect Asheville Retreat
This property was perfect for our kid-free weekend with friends. There were great local restaurants within a 10-15 minute drive and a well stocked kitchen for the nights we cooked. The view from the porch was beautiful, and we loved the trail behind the house! The cabin was clean and offered a great safe option for a getaway during the pandemic. We can’t wait to return!

A beautiful retreat.
The house and surrounding forest are beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and all of the very comfortable modern amenities. The proximity to attractions is great but you still feel like you're really out in the woods here. You can quickly be in downtown Asheville, on the Blue Ridge pkwy or drive to the end of the road to pick up a pristine trailhead that crosses over creeks through magical forests. My young boys loved looking for crayfish and salamanders in the creek that runs through the property and the adults loved sitting in the hot tub after a day of hiking. The outdoor dining table strung with string lights was a great setting for our meals.

Fantastic Property!!!
The cabin was decorated extraordinarily...exactly as in the pictures. It was beautiful. We got much needed relaxation. Kitchen had everything you could need if cooking in. We saw lots of wildlife...including a bear off the back deck. An amazing place to stay. Would definitely book again.

Perfection!
Even better than the photos! The location of the property was secluded enough to feel relaxing but 15 minutes to downtown Asheville and hiking. In addition to being well-designed, the house was very livable and the layout favorable for our family of four - cozy enough in the hot tub and deck (plenty of towels provided for bath and hot tub) but room to spread out. The little reading nook off the dining room was my favorite quiet spot. We ate most meals under the roofed pergola which was perfect during evening sprinkles. My only regret is that we didn’t make use of the gorgeous dining room. So many little touches that demonstrate the owners care for their property. Would absolutely come back!

Mountain getaway
This mountain getaway was perfect for our family of 5. Spacious, clean, and elegantly decorated inside with some rustic chic touches. Close enough to town to make grocery and takeout runs without sacrificing its country charm. We loved coming “home” after a fun day of hiking (black balsam knob and rainbow falls to the southwest and Mt. Mitchell and the deep gap trail to the northeast were some highlights, each about an hour’s drive away through the gorgeous blue ridge parkway) to relax in the hot tub while taking in the mountain view. A bottle of wine awaiting us upon arrival was a nice touch. Thanks Shari & Amy for a great stay.

Perfect girls getaway!
The house is beautifully remodeled and so clean! They thought of everything, and the details and special touches are noticed throughout the house. I’m not sure what other reviews were referencing, but the driveway was a breeze, and it was raining when we arrived. Upon checkin, the hot tub was not working. I contacted the owner/property manager, and he came out within an hour and spent almost 2 hours in the cold rain working on it until it was fixed. Above and beyond doesn’t even express his dedication to his guests. Within a few hours, we were soaking in the hot tub under the stars! The beds and linens were the most comfortable of any rental we’ve ever stayed in! The kitchen had everything we needed, and the fireplace was warm and cozy. The outdoor deck is huge with a grill, chairs, and a covered table and chairs for dining. In just a short walk down the hill, there is a lovely babbling brook and fire pit. We have been visiting the Asheville area every year for more than 10 years, and this was our favorite house! We cant wait to rent it again next year!

Great weekend a short distance throw from downtown
The house was perfect and beautifully finished. Check in was a breeze and there was a welcome plate with wine and cheese. The location was great....20 min from downtown but still country mountain cabin on 20+ acres. I can’t say enough good things.....already thinking about a return visit.

Clean, cozy and cute cabin
Enjoyed a weekend getaway with 4 couples. Perfect space for hanging out. Everyone was in love with the decor and the property inside and out. Kitchen was well equipped to make our meals. Loved the fireplace in the living room and the hot tub on the deck. Hoping to stay here again. Highly recommend!!

A perfect little creekside cabin in the woods
This has been one of our favorite places to stay in Asheville. The upgraded cabin was neat, clean, comfortable and spacious. The location was about 15-20min from Asheville proper and the downtown black mountain area. The owners provided information on the surrounding area as well as cute touches around the house to make us feel more at home (wine/cheese tray, handwritten note, firewood/starter, heated the hot tub, coffee/cream/coffee maker etc...). It was a quiet getaway with sounds of the creek and woods. Internet & TVs worked well, laundry was provided and the beds were comfortable. It even has a 3 car garage for covered parking and a wrap around deck! We look forward to planning another trip to this wonderful spot in Asheville, NC!

Beautiful Property, but slightly difficult to navigate
The property is beautiful and the cabin looks exactly as pictured. The beds were very comfortable and they definitely care about little touches, which is appreciated. We really enjoyed the house, but driving up to the property was a challenge. It is in a convenient location, but getting up the road to the house proved to be impossible for some of us. There isn't enough gravel on the path and one of our cars was stuck in the mud for days. If the property had a paved road it would be perfect!

Gorgeous house and very accommodating
We rented this house for a weekend getaway for a few couples (mid-late 30's) and couldn't' have been happier! The house was VERY clean, everything was modern and accommodating (bedding, furniture, kitchen appliances, etc), the dining room was perfect for a home cooked breakfast and dinner, plenty of parking space, robes in every bedroom, clean hot-tub, spacious bathrooms, etc etc... everything was just great! We all raved about how much we loved the house and will certainly come back.
It was close enough to downtown and other areas that you could easily head out for some food or brewery tours while still feeling fairly secluded from the busy areas. Shari and Amy even had wine, and cheese waiting for us during our arrival....so nice of them!! Easily a 5 star stay!

Narrow, steep driveway
The inside of this property was acceptable with a glitch or two. There were no screens in the windows which limited the ability of opening them. There was some sort of infestation of Lady Bugs who managed to come into the house even with the windows closed. The
owner was responsive and came to remove the Lady Bugs. He also fixed a shower that was not working properly. With a bit more attention I think the inside of the house could be above average. The outside needs attention.
This is not a place for anyone who is not sure footed. The driveway is narrow and right next to a severe drop.
The owners are pleasant and respond in a timely manner.

Shari and Amy were great to work with....in addition to the cabin being impeccably decorated; it was extremely comfortable. Nice beds, sheets, towels, etc. We would 100% come back!

Wonderful weekend stay at this awesome cabin
I know I impressed my folks having chosen this beautifully furnished cabin. The cabin was very clean and the sofa and beds were super comfy. The rooms were spacious and all had a simple modern decor to them with soothing colors. I really appreciated the little details in the rooms, small vases of wild flowers and they included robes in the closets which were enjoyed. It was all our first time visiting Asheville. The cabin's location was perfect for our weekend plans. Downtown and the Biltmore were a short drive. We were welcomed with a sweet note from the owners and a lovely cheese and crackers plate and wine. Thank you very much Shari and Amy! My boys really enjoyed exploring at the creek finding little friends at the rocks. We would love to plan a longer stay here in the future.

Perfect mountain getaway in Asheville
Just hosted a girls weekend here, and this was the perfect remote cabin that we were looking for in Asheville. The home is impeccably decorated - the pictures don’t do it justice. We felt so welcomed with a personal note, snacks and wine from the owners. It’s a bit off the beaten path - we even saw a bear in the driveway on our way in, but easy enough to catch a quick Uber downtown. Gorgeous mountain views and plenty of hiking trails near by. I would highly recommend for a small couples/group weekend or a family getaway. We will definitely be returning!!

Relaxing week in the secluded woods of Asheville
Our family of 5 stayed here the end of July. We loved how secluded it felt but not too far away from town. The house was lovely and so nicely decorated. Each room had fresh flowers which was not unnoticed, such a beautiful touch. We enjoyed the snack plate upon arrival waiting for us in the fridge and the wine was much appreciated too. I needed to get in touch with the owners and they responded in a timely manner to answer my question. We would go back and stay in this house again.

Perfectly appointed, convenient to downtown but away from it all
It rained the entire week we were in Asheville ... being in this home made every drop of rain absolutely delightful! The home is beautiful and had everything we could have wanted. The thoughtfulness of the owners was apparent in all aspects of of our stay. Seriously, the pictures of the interior are beautiful, but the real thing was even more perfect. Somehow, they melded the simplicity of a minimalist look with the the feel and atmosphere of absolute comfort and luxuriousness. It's the perfect place to really get away and unwind, while still having easy access to Whole Foods/TJs, all the sights and amazing restaurants, etc. Shari and Amy put together a binder of recommendations of where to eat, which included restaurants that catered my family's various food preferences (some vegan, some gluten free, some anything goes). We cooked the majority of our own meals and the kitchen was great for cooking and quick cleanup. So glad we stayed here and definitely recommend (unless stairs are an issue for anyone in your party).

This cabin absolutely exceeded expectations. It’s clean and spacious and had every amenity you could want in a cabin. The hosts greeted us with wine and cheese and each room has robes and carafes of water for convenience. No detail was left behind. Would definitely stay here again!
