The property was excellent, very clean and perfect for our group. Great access to the Schoodic Peninsula, Desert Island and the northern Maine coast. We had great weather with clear shy which allowed us to turn down the house light and watch the Milky Way over the Atlantic.

We were visiting Maine for the first time and wanted to experience it all: crashing waves on the rocks, beautiful scenery, lobster boats and fresh lobster. We also wanted to relax and your house was wonderful. Oceanfront, secluded and quiet while also being close to Arcadia, Bar Harbor and many nice little towns to explore. Perfect for us and just as described.

The property was as described. It was very clean. The rocks were challenging for us older ones, but the younger ones enjoyed them. It had general pots and pans and very few staples for cooking. Plan accordingly. The biggest issue for me was that it had no dishwasher. I struggle with the proper sanitation of utensils. There were not so many toys for the littles. We had zero Wi-Fi. Reception was spotty, but that was okay for us. We brought games and entertainment, but one needs to plan accordingly. We drove to Bar Harbor and Acadia; Both were a nightmare for too many folks. We thoroughly enjoyed the loop and getting out to look at Schoodic. It was enjoyable; we never saw anything but seagulls, which was probably seasonal. Overall, the place was adequate, and we saw what we wanted nearby.

Took my 80 year old mother on a little trip. The large bedroom on the first floor was a bonus, did not have to negotiate extra stairs once inside. The porch was wonderful. Loved the quiet location. Took the ferry to Bar Harbor it was worth every penny. WIFI was a challenge but we did not care about access.

Born and raised in the Deep South the only idea of what the North East /Maine coast would be like was from what I seen on tv & movies. I knew it would be hard to find a place that would measure up to the perfection I had seen on screen but this house not only measured up, it far exceed what I was hoping for. The house, the landscaping, the town, the home owners, everything was perfect! I knew my husband and I would enjoy the secluded and quiet space but I was worried my 6 year old would get bored but even he absolutely loved running through the house and watching the boats come and go. This rental was everything we could have wished for and more & we hope to make it back up to stay again.

5/5, pics do not do this property justice. Quiet, peaceful, and stunningly beautiful views. Hosts were excellent, provided lots of helpful tips for navigating Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, and other nearby areas. 100% recommend.

The house had beautiful views. It was fun watching the fog roll in and on clear days watching the lobster boats. The shore line was fun to look for treasures. The kitchen was set up with everything you could need to cook, the ga grill was a plus. The long private road in was good for my XC runner kids to get their workouts in. We enjoyed the peaceful setting away from Bar Harbor and Acadia but easy to get there for our outings. Lots of things to do on the Schoodic Peninsula also. Definitely would come stay here if in there area again. We enjoyed our week.

Exceptional house that is away from all the crowds. The morning sunrise from the deck is a treat worth getting up early for. The location is just minutes from Winter Harbor and makes a great base camp for daily adventures. We had a great time climbing the rock wall to put our toes in the Atlantic Ocean.

This property has an absolutely wonderful location. It is quiet, peaceful, and tranquil. Being steps from the ocean and hearing waves crashing was therapeutic. The owners also went above and beyond with communication. The home was adequately clean and fully stocked with everything we needed. The reason for the 3 star rating was for the lack of comfort in furnishings. The most comfortable seats were the chairs on the deck. With new, comfortable mattresses and new, comfortable living room furniture, this would be a total gem.

Fabulous, relaxed, watching sun rise across the harbor a true gem of a location. Maine- the way life should be

The house has a great view, but be prepared to climb over an 8 foot wall of loose rocks to get closer to the shore. It can be done. The house is 15 minutes away from Acadia, which was great to get out early and sit at Schoodic Point.
Jen and Jeff were very accommodating as we needed to postpone our dates because of weather. We had good privacy at the time too.

House was clean and well appointed- views were amazing although we had a lot of fog but that’s to be expected. Checkin and checkout process was effortless. Would definitely recommend!

Great location to enjoy Acadia! The back deck is awesome. We enjoyed stargazing while listening to the ocean. And the sunrise glistening across the water was beautiful each morning.

Wonderful shoreline views from the windows the full width of the open dining, living room and kitchen. Fantastic! The outside deck is spacious with 270 degree views of lobster boats and even an occasional large ship passing by at a distance. The owners provide much useful info that adds to the stay. Private. Very clean and well thought out. Thank you Jeff and Jan!

Great central location to head out and see both Schoodic and Bar Harbor Acadia National Parks. Can head in any direction for great scenic day trips as well. Accommodations and amenities were perfect for our group of six. We will definitely be back.
Thank You Jeff and Jen.

If you are looking for an amazing place to vacation while staying in Maine, this is the place. The property owners are amazing to deal with. They gave us so many recommendations to do on our trip (they really try and personalize based on what you are there for). The house is clean, comfortable and has everything you need. We watched the lobstermen every morning and got to see dolphins one evening too. The sunrises, sunsets and stars are breathtaking. The bedrooms are comfortable and the futon that folds down into a bed is comfortable too. Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We walked the shoreline every morning and evening and enjoyed the remoteness of the property. This is definitely a 5 star rental. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

We felt at home from the start at Ledgeview Cottage. Everything was exactly as described and spotlessly clean. The area had everything that we were looking for with Acadia's Schoodic Peninsula and nearby villages, restaurants, ice cream and more to explore. Close enough to the main part of Acadia and Bar Harbor for a day trip- but we enjoyed our time around the cottage much more due to the lack of crowds and relaxed atmosphere.

What an awesome experience all around from booking to check out! The house was just perfect and the location was wonderful. Great food options all within 20 mins. Jen and Jeff had so many great suggestions and know how to make you feel comfortable away from home. No complaints at all! The whole family enjoyed climbing up the rock wall to the ocean and found some great treasures at low tide. Would recommend to anyone!

We loved our stay at this house. It worked well for my family of 7. Loved the beautiful views and the peaceful surroundings. Would definitely recommend this house to others! The owners also were very helpful in finding another nearby home to stay for an extra night. Thank you!!

During our stay, there was fog every morning and every late afternoon so we never saw the water from the house. The house was very roomy and had everything needed for our stay. Furniture was on the uncomfortable side but being out and about we did not use the furniture much. The "Catch Your Lunch" Lobster Tour in nearby Corea was AWESOME! We recommend it to everyone who stays in this area. Me and Ben's soft serve blueberry ice cream is also a must. The hour trip to Bar Harbor was scenic but the busyness was not our favorite even though the walk across the land bridge was mind blowing. We also enjoyed the views and one trail we took at the Schoodic Pennisula which is very close to this property. The owners shared several options for restaurants and thing to do during our stay.

Come for the sea and stay for the stars! Ledgeview is a beautiful cottage on the ocean with magnificent views. The sunrises are spectacular, but the stars will knock you out. The Cottage is airy and bright and right on the water. It has everything you need for an incredible stay. Acadia on the Schoodic Peninsula is less crowded than MDI and has several great hiking and biking trails and is just a few minutes away. A few minutes from the cottage is MC Marketplace which is a great place to shop and across the street is the Pickled Wrinkle, a great restaurant with good pizza and an amazing staff. Funny name, great place. You'll be delighted you stayed at Ledgeview Cottage. And the hosts are fantastic too. Enjoy Maine!

Enjoyed beautiful sunrises and moonrises over the ocean from the back windows! A wonderful getaway, fully equipped to be our home away from home while visiting the region.

Our second stay here….. There is not enough space nor are there enough adjectives to say how wonderful this place is!!! Waking up to the sunrise from every bedroom is amazing! Being right ON the water, one can fall asleep to the sound of the waves and lobster boats! Easy access to many Maine harbor towns, sights and seafood! The Hosts are always available and quickly respond to requests or need for assistance. They are warm, friendly and kind! The house reflects that same vibe!

Being the last house on a dead end, well-maintained, dirt road contributes to the peace and quiet at this wonderful house. The care the owners put into maintaining the house and the spotless cleaning is obvious. Big windows all around bring the 200+° ocean view right inside. House is thoughtfully equipped with everything you could need. It was a joy to stay there.

This property was amazing. It was easy location to get to Bar Harbor and you were away from the busy crowds after a day of venturing. Loved watching the Lobster boats and being able to see the Petit Manan Lighthouse in the evening. Everything was clean and well supplied with everything you need to make nice meals.

We thoroughly enjoyed our family vacation for the six of us at beautiful Ledgeview Cottage. Perfect location right on the water, with all the amenities you might possibly need. The views from the cottage were breathtaking. It was fun to watch the lobster boats in the morning, scamper down the rocks at low tide to view sea life, and the nighttime sky with all the stars and view of the Milky Way was awe inspiring! Even though there isn’t central air, fans and an air conditioning units on both floors kept everyone very comfortable. We enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor, and the hour drive over to MDI was scenic enough that we didn’t mind at all. We highly recommend the Lobster Boat tour in nearby Corea. The host was very helpful in answering our questions and gave great local recommendations.

We had the best stay at Ledgeview Cottage. My husband and I have three children and my 75-year-old parents joined us. The house was secluded with amazing ocean views from every room. It was also immaculate - the cleanest and most well-kept VRBO we've rented. We traveled out to local attractions most day - Acadia National Park, Winter Harbor, Bar Harbor. My husband and son rented UTVs one day andy daughters and I spent the day at the cottage. While at the cottage we went out on the rock ledge and down to the ocean, we hiked and walked trails, and worked on puzzles each night. We ate at the cottage every evening and loved every minute of our get away. We highly recommend this rental.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ledgeview Cottage with our friends. The property was very clean and comfortable. Being able to laundry was a bonus. Jeff and Jen were excellent communicators from the moment we booked the property and answered our many questions promptly. The views are spectacular and it was enjoyable to see how they changed with the tides and the weather as we had sunny days mixed with foggy ones. The property was a welcome refuge from the hustle and bustle of the Bar Harbor area but close enough (one hour) to enjoy the sites of Mt Desert Island and Acadia National Park. Be sure to drive the Schoodic Peninsula itself as it's beautiful. We're so fortunate that there seemed to be a last-minute cancellation here as it was everything we wanted for our trip to Maine.

We had a wonderful stay at Ledgeview Cottage. The house was very clean and the ocean views were spectacular. Schoodic Peninsula is beautiful and the ferry from Winter Harbor to Bar Harbor is a must. The local market was convenient to pick up deli sandwiches to take for our day trip to Acadia. We also enjoyed a lobster lunch at the wharf in Corea, dinner at Chases in Winter Harbor and ice cream at Me & Ben's. A very peaceful and relaxing location.
