Home Away From Home
We stayed at this lovely property for quite a while and enjoyed our stay so much! Chris and Shari we marvelous hosts and literally anything they could do to make our stay great, they did! Lots of outdoor areas to read and enjoy, cozy places inside to relax. Everything in the kitchen you would ever need to cook with! Loved it so much and couldn't be happier with our stay! Thank you so much!

Everything we could have wished for!
Shari & Chris’ home is absolutely lovely. It is warm, with a relaxed vibe decorated with beautiful treasures from their travels. As beautiful as the inside of the home is, we spent the majority of our time outside near or in the pool. The yard offers comfortable lounge furnishings, umbrellas, a large table, outdoor cooking options, a large vegetable garden & gorgeous flowering trees. I love the location of the home in a stunning section of Altadena that is also conveniently close to shopping and within a comfortable distance to any of the areas tourist sites visitors may want to explore. Shari couldn’t have been more gracious in answering our pre-stay questions and then checking in to make sure we were happy once we’d arrived. Our stay this time was related to a family wedding but we are all hoping to return for another true relaxing vacation- we hated to leave!

gorgeous home
This far exceeded our expectations. Our family felt like they were escaping into a grand manor, complete with pool, farm, space etc. The hosts could not have been more gracious. We would return over and over again!

Beautiful house in a beautiful neighborhood
We wish we'd been able to spend more time at the house- it was such a nice retreat! The pool was gorgeous and warm, the beds and baths were all great, decor was comfortable and stylish. We didn't cook much because we were at a college orientation but the kitchen was well equipped. Shari and Chris and family stayed in the cottage behind the house with their two dogs. They are kind and helpful hosts. Things to know: Street is quiet (except for some construction during week), off street parking is easy even for two cars, AC works very well! A/C is One zone, master bed and children's bedroom share a bathroom accessed from MB and hall. Third bedroom has its own bath also accessible from kitchen. Hiking is great and very close by. House was very clean, dishes needed some touch up- possibly from previous guests- all in all a 5 star experience!

Lovely family home in a great location
We stayed for a week in Chris and Shari’s lovely home when visiting our eldest son, who was on a summer internship at Caltech. The house was clean, spacious and comfortable with everything we needed for a relaxing holiday – pool, large garden, table tennis and a very well equipped kitchen. Our two younger teenage sons really appreciated the comfy sofas and huge TV! There was plenty to do nearby (we particularly enjoyed visiting the Huntington Gallery and Gardens and a hike up Echo Mountain) but it was also well placed for doing the tourist sights of LA, including Hollywood and Disneyland. As Brits visiting LA for the first time, we were quite daunted by the size and heat of the city, and really appreciated retreating to the peace and quiet of Altadena.

Graduation
We came down for our daughters graduation and made it a family reunion and vacation. It was perfect for our family including grand children. The location was very convenient for all of our functions and close to Burbank airport. The kitchen has a great gas stove which allowed us to eat every meal for five days at the house, which was great on the budget and less stressful than taking young children to resturants. The pool was very nice and we used it oftern. The property grounds is very large and includes a trampoline and a tree fort which were great for the kids. Chris the owner was very helpful and accommodating. If we are ever planning a trip to Southern California this will be our first choice.

A Family Vacation Not to Forget
This lovely home was the perfect choice for a three generational family vacation. Comfortable & cozy. Wonderful kitchen that opens to a breakfast nook and family room. Step out onto the patio and enjoy the pool and a view of the mountains. The backyard is quite spacious and private. Loved the fresh citrus trees. The owners were incredibly helpful and welcoming. Lots of activities and attractions in the Pasadena area, we were attending the Rose Bowl Parade and the related activities, but we also enjoyed the Huntington Gardens/Library, hiking in Eaton Canyon, and lots of wonderful restaurants. We had one family member who reminded us this was a "vacation", and he was happy to enjoy the peacefulness of the house, backyard and big screen TV! Thanks to the owners for sharing their home and making our trip to Pasadena truly memorable.

Great Home
Rented the home for Thanksgiving with family. Was very comfortable. Quiet, and close to the mountains, made it very peaceful, yet close to all the restaurants and stores in Pasadena (like only a couple of miles) Huge yard and the owners let us pick fresh oranges (two varieties), lemons, and grapefruits. This was great for our morning juice. Kitchen is complete with all first-class appliances and a nice family room adjacent to it where we hung out. Nice pool and patio that was partially covered.

I also want to add...
I would highly recommend this home. we were very happy with it and the owners were great with helping answer all our questions upfront. My previous 4-star rating was a little low...it wasnt a perfect 5-star but definitely a 4.5 or more.
