I love all the details - books and games and records even! They’ve put a lot of thought into what is provided. And this place is wonderfully secluded, the perfect place for us to get away from it all.

Wonderful hilltop location. Beautiful view. Nice apartment. Great hosts. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We loved this cozy apartment in the sky! Stylishly appointed, clean, and comfortable. Oh, and the environment and views are second to none.

Clean well-equipped and cozy with a spectacular view that was further enhanced with the comfortable clean patio furniture and the the picture windows with telescope. The perfect place to get away from it all while visiting Peekskill. Enjoyed Fort Montgomery and Bear Mountain sites. Hope to return next year.

Comfortable apartment with a phenomenal view! The space could use a deep clean and some decluttering, but that view!!!
Did I mention that the view was A-mazing?!?

We were only here for one night, but wish we could have stayed longer. The apartment was clean, comfortable and cozy; but the star of this listing is its location. The views of the surrounding mountains and Hudson River are absolutely stunning! We would love to come back sometime and stay longer just to sit outside and take in the view!

The apartment was even better and bigger in person than it looked in the pictures. The view of the river and mountains is just stunning, both from outside and through the huge living room window. It's very comfortable. The hosts are easy and accommodating.

We spent a girls weekend here and raved about our stay! The view could not be photographed enough, the apartment was so quaint and homely decorated. Yvonne and Josh were amazing hosts and we got to meet their dogs! Highly recommend and would visit again!

The rental is a portion of walkout basement of owners single family home. I had never stayed in a rental with this setup before. It worked out great. It had its own private entrance. It was quiet and neat and very convenient to West Point. The view overlooking the Hudson is Incredible. Highly recommend for a single or couple looking for a place with great proximity to USMA.

The views from the back patio were breathtaking and we loved having afternoon cocktails and morning coffee there. The pictures do not do it justice. We had breakfast on Wednesday in Cold Spring at Hudson Hil's and it was wonderful. We were there with many locals, all before the shops opened. We enjoyed the rest of the morning walking and shopping. We then went to Beacon and spent the afternoon there. Breakfast on Thursday was at the Thayer at West Point. What an iconic place and the views were incredible. To be able to go to the top of the hill and relax on the patio and in our apartment was amazing. We had a wonderful trip and Yvonne and Josh were responsive and gracious hosts.

Serene and quiet place we booked last week just for an overnight. Yvonne and Josh were great hosts. The location is great for visiting West Point or exploring the Highlands. Cozy get away - we'll definitely book again when we can stay longer.
Thank you!!

Very nice place to stay to getaway of crowds and busy life. The check-in process was seamless. They have everything one can need to have a nice stay. I liked the decor and have very nice antiques items one can only see in museums nowadays..very cool stuff my daughter and I appreciated. The view in the pic is even more beautiful in real life. At night one can see the constellations, even in a winter night.

Josh and Yvonne were just wonderful. Texts were answered within minutes. The apt was very nice and comfortable. The fridge contained water, coffee and creamers which was very welcoming. The view was breathtaking. The drive to the property was stressful when the weather did not cooperate. Since you are on a mountain, roads were a little slippery. Thank you Josh and Yvonne for a great holiday stay.

Amazing view at this property. A nice, clean, cozy place to stay. Voices and conversation from house upstairs were audible from inside, particularly in the bedroom.

The views are breathtaking, the distance from the city is just right and while the kitchen is simple, you aren't getting away to cook ;)
Our stay was great...thank you!!!

My partner and I stayed for a weekend to go to a wedding nearby, and I was pleasantly surprised with this property. The apartment is so charming, and the property and surroundings are stunning. Would 100% recommend and stay there again.

Great stay in Fort Montgomery. We loved the backyard patio and sweeping views of the Hudson River Valley. House was short drive to town/restaurants/etc.

Rented this location for my partner and our pet (a cat) so that we would not have to find a cat sitter during covid. We reached out to see if it would be ok to bring our cat, as most pet friendly properties mean a dog, and are not fond of cats due to cat behaviors like scratching and shedding, etc. We explained our cat's background and cleanliness, and they were very open and agreed! First impression, the house itself is actually on the cliff of a mountaintop, which is really impressive, and exactly what we wanted! Instructions were clear and made it easy to find the location. Upon entrance, we found the home to be very clean and cozy, with a lot of special details in the décor. Just little touches that made it really comfortable and beautiful like the wall décor, and the extra throw pillows. Even a luxurious spa bathrobe hanging on the bathroom door. That was such a nice touch and I loved wearing it! There were even extra bedding, towels and blankets if you needed it! The bathroom was spotless, and very white/pristine. The carpet felt very clean. We had access to everything we needed, including various types of cups, and the hosts even provided some coffee and tea, and there were some basic seasoning like salt and pepper, oil, and left over condiment packages like soy sauce or ketchup, etc.Instructions for using the grill was very easy. We used it for a few of our meals as well as the hot plate and the coffee machine. It was great and a fun adventure to use appliances we don't normally use at home (we don't own a grill or a hot plate!). Everything about the home was so charming, but the best part was definitely the view. It was so beautiful! They had a pair of binoculars on the large window so you can look out and enjoy the scenery, which I thought was so fun!As for WiFi, we did not end up using it, because we were really trying to unplug! We did watch a dvd from the stack of DVDs provided, and played a couple of boardgames. The trivia pursuit is from 1981 which was really funny, and my partner and I had a blast trying to answer these really old pop culture reference questions! This is an amazing getaway to unplug, and have an intimate and cozy weekend. Our cat was a little afraid at first in a new setting, but she really came around and absolutely loved sitting on the window looking out at the view. This is definitely a trip to remember as my partner ended up proposing to me here! I highly recommend!

The apartment is very cozy and has an amazing view! Yvonne and Josh were responsive and attentive hosts. It's a quick, 7-minute drive to Bear Mountain and ideal for getting away. Just be mindful that the wifi does go in and out (as expected for someplace remote), there was pet hair on the carpet, and there were people in the apartment above that you could occasionally hear walking around . It's a great home base for lazy mornings, hiking, and visiting nearby towns!

We enjoyed our stay. It was quiet & clean & private (all important in these Covid days). The view & patio are stunning. The kitchenette is small but has the basics (one-burner, microwave, coffee pot), & we managed to put dinner together. (Yvonne & Josh left brochures of places that deliver, too.) The four stars is because the bed is high & bouncy.

Beautiful, clean apartment. We enjoyed looking at all the antiques. Of course our favorite part was sitting outside and enjoying the view. We ate dinner on the patio, while watching hawks, including a bald eagle, swoop below us. Then at dusk, we enjoyed watching the valley light up. A train came around the bend and it looked like we were viewing a miniature village.

Come her just to sit out on the patio and watch the slowly changing scenery in the valley below. The apartment is the icing on the cake.

This is a private "remote" location that is simply beautiful - and not that remote. It's 1.5 miles up the hill from Fort Montgomery - hence the view - yet still close enough to USMA to make it perfect for our needs. The property is very well kept. The host - we only met Josh - was friendly and helpful. He was very responsive to texts, mostly to arrange for check-in and check-out. Can't say enough positive things about the experience.

A lovely place, thoughtfully supplied with essentials. Perfect for a couple. It's the view though, that is extraordinary, looking down at the Hudson Valley and the Bear Mountain Bridge. Very very comfortable.

We stayed 4 nights at this lovely property. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a great BBQ! The view over the mountainside and to the Hudson River was truly amazing. Gracious hosts, wonderful grounds and more. We had a cadet at West Point and it was literally a 10 minute drive to the front Thayer gate. Thanks for a wonderful place to stay in a beautiful part of the country!
