Overall it was great. The decks had not been swept or bloen off. Not a big deal, just leaves sticking to wet feet after hottub wasn't great. And the dishwasher still had all the dishes in it. Nothing major, just a couple noticeable things. But my niece was especially grateful for the hoyub after a stressful day of setting up her dotm

This cabin is located off of a quiet lane in Avery County, surrounded by beautiful foliage, making for a private retreat. The kitchen is the best stocked I have experienced in many years of vacationing - from dishes to pans to utensils to spices to hot beverages - nothing is left out. The rooms are comfortable, love the hot tub and the fire pit. Such a lovely, welcoming home!

My family and I absolutely loved our stay! The house was so convenient to everything, including downtown Banner Elk, the Alpine Coaster, and Sugar Mountain. The house has been well maintained, and we really enjoyed the back deck with the hot tub. The s’mores kit they provided was a nice touch that we all enjoyed using over a fire. The house is on a very quiet street and we were able to take the kids on a walk each morning to enjoy the cool air. My family and I are already planning to stay here again in the future!

Amazing property and location. The place had everything ready for use including even graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate for smores. We felt welcomed the moment we walked in. The couches could use an update, but other than that we had wonderful time there.

Planned a get-away to just unwind from a year of stuff. Found this cute cabin tucked away in the woods. Everything was exactly as described. The inside was beautiful with the wood ceilings (vs my white popcorn ceilings at home) and wood walls. Towels, bathrobes, sheets, toiletries, everything you needed was there. Even the smores basket (didn't get to enjoy them because of the rain, but maybe at my next stay). Stephanie was amazing to answer any questions that I had prior to my arrival. I can't wait to plan my next get away. Banner Elk was a cute little town as well. Plenty to do from the restaurants to the music in the park. Lots of ski areas around as well which would be perfect in the winter. You will not be disappointed if you choose this cabin.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was tastefully decorated and very clean. The kitchen has all the cooking essentials and nice dishes and silverware. Bathrooms were clean and I appreciate that there were several hooks for towels. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and also the fire pit. The owners even include a starter supply of s’mores ingredients and sticks for roasting marshmallows. The yard is also beautiful with lovely green grass and nice landscaping. We enjoyed the privacy of the property! The town of Banner Elk is also very nice with plenty of restaurants, a grocery store, and Walgreens close by. For fun we enjoyed mining at Sugar Creek gem mine, visiting Elk River Falls, and exploring downtown Banner Elk. We hope to stay here again!

My daughter and I arrived Thursday, May 2nd, for a long weekend to attend my grandgirl's graduation from Lees-McRae. Her parents drove in from Nashville the next day. This cabin was perfect for our mini-family reunion! For the next few days, it became Party Central for our extended family. Instead of eating at a fancy restaurant to celebrate, Makena chose a pizza party with her family at our home away from home! We loved everything about the cabin, its location, the comfortable beds, the Great Room, etc. I'd reserve it again if and when we return to Banner Elk!

This house was perfect for our girl's trip. We were a group of 5 and we were very comfortable. It is located in-between Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain, and maybe 1/2 mile to the little Town of Banner Elk. Close to Grandfather Mountain and Hawksnest. The house has 3 bedrooms total. 2 bedrooms downstairs. One with 3 single beds, and one with a queen bed. The master bedroom is upstairs with a King bed and a bathroom and a private deck. The beds were super comfortable. There is a great back porch with a salt water hot tub awesome after a day on the slopes. The host super responsive and helpful to all our questions. Easy check in and easy check out. We had everything we needed including a beautiful gas fireplace with plenty of throws for cuddling. Bring your friends, food and bibs and you are all set. :-)

We had a fabulous stay - and happy to get snowed in for a day and half with the hot tub! It feels like you are faraway from the hustle and bustle but it only took us 10 minutes door to parking lot to go skiing. The thoughtful details (like a keurig in the master), the robes, the ice melt at front and back doors were all fabulous. Can’t wait to come again!

The location is awesome- It is so accessible, including driveway, and just down the road from grocery stores, restaurants - while still being easy drives to Beech, Blowing Rock etc and all the fun activities. Walking in, you see every detail was carefully thought out (down to the s’mores ingredients and - don’t laugh- good toilet paper; not the cheap stuff lol!!). Awesome hot tub, fire pit, comfy beds, stocked kitchen, games. The host Stephanie is so responsive and great. We absolutely LOVED our stay!!

My family of 6 stayed during our 1st family vacation. The home was decorated for Christmas, which was so sweet. We made s’mores outside and the kids played in the yard. We spent a lot of time skiing, but got to enjoy the local towns stores and restaurants. It was perfect!

This was our third time staying at this property and I love that I can book somewhere that I know will be clean and well taken care of. Clearly this is a well-loved vacation home. The property owners are always easy to reach for questions. We love the area! It is especially beautiful this time of year. The home is centrally located to many fun family atttactions. We look forward to returning for future stays!

my family has a great stay at our VRBO in Banner Elk. The house was perfect for us. We enjoyed our stay. the house was well equipped. The location was great with easy access to everything. The hot tub and fire pit was a great addition to our fun during the week.

We were in the area for a local celebration. After a long day of interreacting with customers we could retreat to this house for some quiet relaxation. The property is in excellent physical condition -- all amenities were new, or well-maintained. The property was spotlessly clean.
Eating out or take-out were close, and we had everything we needed in the kitchen to prepare breakfast and pack our lunches. The driveway had ample room for our three cars. The owners answered questions and sent notes to welcome us to the property.
This is our third VRBO rental, and by far the best we have experienced. There were no "surprises" or disappointments. We got exactly what we expected from descriptions and communications. We can't wait for our next visit.

The cabin was perfect for our family of six! Loved the fire pit, s'mores, and privacy , but so close to everything! Highly recommend the alpine coaster and hiking was amazing ! Close to banner elk, Boone, grandfather mountain, grocery store , etc. Felt very private, but there is a very close neighbor. My only suggestion would be to replace the king size mattress. Other than that, everything was perfect! Very clean and loved the little touches. Wonderful gas grill! Great hosts !

This cabin was roomy for our family of four. Cabin was very clean and communication with the manager was good. Our location was good and in between the places we wanted to travel, which included Boone, Grandfather Mountain & Elizabethton in TN for white water rafting. We enjoyed our stay!

We had a wonderful stay and look forward to returning. We loved the location, which was near downtown Banner Elk. Everything was perfect and the s’mores and wine that were left for us were a wonderful surprise. And the fully stocked kitchen had everything we needed. We were in the mountains to play disc golf and the practice basket was great to have. And the hot tub was nice after being out all day. Highly recommended!!

Great location, very private, lots of attention to details. Owners put a lot of thought into everything to make for a very comfortable stay. The kids enjoyed playing in the stream, walking through the woods, getting in the hot tub and roasting marsh mellows in the fire pit. We would highly recommend this wonderful cabin. The only problem we had was there were not enough towels but that was probably just an oversite by the cleaning crew. Other than that, it was perfect.

Everything went pretty well except the weather which obviously the owner can’t control. Spent lots of time watching movies and board games. The upstairs mattress hurt my back but some people like it that way. Hot tub was great. Size of the cabin was perfect and location was great. Much appreciated the complimentary bottle of wine and all the basic essentials like shampoo and laundry detergent, coffee etc. I’d stay again but only if the items I mentioned above were addressed.

The property was ideal for our family of 5. Our 3 kids slept downstairs and mom and dad upstairs. The kids loved the hot tub on a cold winter day and were delighted by the s’mores the hosts left for us to enjoy. They were communicative and easy to work with when I had to amend our dates within the stated policy timeline. The home was immaculately clean and outfitted with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. It truly is just as it looks.

This was the PERFECT cabin for a two family weekend getaway. The size of the cabin easily accommodated 4 adults and 2 kids. Lots of extra games, dvds, outdoor activities and exploring to entertain the kids. The kitchen had all the utensils, cookware that I needed to prepare meals for the family. Banner Elk never disappoints. The light dusting of snow on Sunday morning completed our wonderful weekend. Thank you for this beautiful place to make family memories.

This property is super convenient to Banner Elk and everything around there, and provides a private atmosphere. The home is extremely clean and well stocked, right down to the s’mores for the fire pit. This was our second stay here, after staying at 3 different homes in previous years. Just stop your search now and book it. We’ll definitely be back!

Wonderful Cabin!
This was our second visit to this beautiful cabin and it was again just as awesome as the first. Perfect location, clean and secluded. This time we ventured to Roan Mountain and Beech Mountain for disc golf and enjoyed the beautiful Banner Elk. Loved the hot tub which is always a hit with our family. The owners are super friendly and easy to get in contact with. This has become one of our favorite VRBO vacation rentals. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Perfect for two guys on a golf trip
Great property for our golf trip to the mountains. Perfect for two people, more than that would have to share the downstairs bathroom.
Just off the main drag but far enough away to give a quite, isolated feeling. Would certainly stay again

Secluded but convenient
My family and I greatly enjoyed staying at this property. There were so many thoughtful surprises including s’mores ingredients, toiletries, coffee pods, a fully-supplied kitchen, TVs in every room, comfy beds, games, and so much more!

Easter Weekend Trip
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. While just off of the main highway, the setting felt remote and secluded, and the grounds and firepit were fantastic. There was more than enough room within the cabin for our family of 5 and there was also everything we could have needed to make our stay comfortable. The location was perfect for a base for our 2 days of fishing in Tennessee, with the morning drive to the meeting location only being 40 minutes. The kids loved playing in the yard and down to the creek, and nights at the firepit were relaxing. The owners very super responsive to the couple of questions that we had during our trip also, which is always a plus. Overall, the home was exactly as advertised and we would definitely book again.

Everything You Need
This house was easily the best I’ve stayed in through VRBO. It was evident how much thought the home owner, Stephanie, put in.
I was traveling with my partner and our friends who have a 4 year old and an infant. The master upstairs was an amazing retreat with a coffee station and desk. The washing machine, games, s’mores fixings, and hot tub were major pluses for the kids and adults.
The porches, trees, and little stream outback made us feel isolated but we were only 5 minutes from the grocery and restaurants and within 25 minutes of everything else we wanted to do.
We’ve already talked about making our stay an annual tradition!!

Great location, close to everything!
My family and I had the BEST time spending a long weekend at the cabin. It had everything we needed including a fully stocked kitchen, coloring books, a trunk of games, and movies. The fire pit was super cozy and a great place to hang out while the kids played in the yard. The location was perfect for our needs while still feeling secluded. The owners were super helpful and provided lots of helpful tips and info. I would love to stay at this beautiful cabin again!!

Fun Ski Weekend
Great house in a perfect location to go skiing. Enough room for 2 families to enjoy. Had a few small issues but the owners were responsive and helpful to resolve. Would definitely stay here again if back in the area.

Absolutely amazing!
First of all… this is our second time staying here and the second time was even better than the last.
The house is gorgeous. Well kept. Clean and the beds… they are so comfortable.
Yea have been to many houses in my travels and this ranks as number 1 for me and my family.
The location is second to none. Right in the middle of everything and so private. We loved walking down to the stream and the sledding hill through the back yard. I just can’t say enough good things about this house.
Then you add the owners into the mix. I’m he most delightful, thoughtful and helpful owners I have ever worked with. They stocked us with hot chocolate, coffee and s’mores. Everything we needed for the cold winter nights. They respond to every message quickly and don’t leave you in the dark if there is a change or update that needs to be made on their end. We were told they needed an extra hour for housekeeping… the night before. Perfect! We were able to plan accordingly and took an extra hour on the trip from Florida instead of having to sit in the car while the house was cleaned. They are just the best.
I would stay here over and over.
Only thing to think about… the driveway does freeze. Not the host’s fault at all. Fellow Floridians beware… your front wheel drive car will get stuck :) just park at the road if you are expecting snow and you will be fine.
BTW on our last trip Stephanie texted us to let us know that so she saved us the heartache last trip and we remembered for this trip :)
Just another example of how this whole team goes over and beyond.
