Amazing Property located in the gated community of Rumbling Bald Resort on over one and a half acres of land featuring a trout stream, waterfalls and a swimming hole. Perfect location to get away from it all. This property has all you need for a restful family retreat. Less than an hour away from Asheville and two from Charlotte - make this your summer stay-cation or perfect work-from-home paradise!

The main home sleeps up to 12 in four bedrooms and one bunk room. The Cabin Guest House & Pavilion has a large covered gathering area (20 feet by 30 feet) as well as a 650 square foot sleeping/living area with 2 bunk beds (queen on bottom and twin on top). In addition to central heat and air, both are equipped with large ceiling fans for the warm summer days as well as fireplaces for cool mountain evenings.
Numerous porches, decks and patios provide many areas to gather with family and friends or to get away for a quiet spot by yourself. Sit in the swing by the stream and enjoy the soothing sound of the waterfalls, roast marshmallows in the fire pit or play board games by a warm fire.
The house has ample parking and easy access for loading and unloading. We are conveniently located near the beach, pools, wellness center, clubhouse and golf course.
Your rental also includes access to all of the resort's amenities including a private white sand beach, children’s water park, distinct dining experiences, numerous hiking and biking trails and two championship golf courses.
Internet access has been upgraded and includes a separate wifi at the guest cabin.

The property was perfect for our family of 10. We utilized both the house and the cabin, which was so great. We were able to hear the stream 24/7. The grandkids enjoyed throwing sticks in the waterfalls and playing in the swimming hole. We rented a golf cart and rode the short distance to the pool and beach area. There were so many nice amenities in Rumbling Bald Resort. We hope to return next year!

Booked this home for a golf trip for 12 friends. Guest house was great, owner communicated regularly, and location was fantastic. Had a great stay. Seems like home would be great for families, as well.

Five married daughters along with our 92 yr old Dad stayed for a week. We loved the beautiful stream and large screened porch. Wifi was spotty, i believe possibly due to storm right before our visit.? Theres a beautiful bedroom on entrance floor which was great for Dad , but the many stairs and uneven ground outside was a concern if you have mobility issues( but it IS a mountain house, right?) There are two nice bedrooms downstairs w lots of room but the third bedroom is small. The pavillion beside the stream is very nice w everything you need for a great family gathering and the cabin can sleep six very comfortably! We appreciate that garbage is stored in a safe, bear proof place and we didnt have to take it to dump ourselves.Our favorite place was the screened porch with nice table, chairs and soft lounge chairs. We ve stayed in several houses in Rumbling Bald resort and this house is very special. We also enjoy going to town of Lake Lure , with the shoppes and Burntshirt winery/ Bistro etc. And the pontoon boat tour of Lake Lure was pleasant and of course the Golf!! Toni is a great host !

Our family of 12 had a wonderful experience at this property. The home was comfy and cozy and the property surrounding the home was very peaceful and surreal. Perfect place for our 4 grandchildren and grand dogs.
I wish it would have been a summer visit so the kids could have swam.

The owner was always easy to reach and ck in/ck out was a breeze...

We really enjoyed our week at this property in Rumbling Bald. Our favorite activity (besides hiking) was sitting on the screened porch and listening to the creek early in the morning and late at night. The resort was a bit too busy for us but we enjoyed the tranquility of local trails instead. The screens on the porch could be cleaned and tightened and a few things inside need updating but everything worked and the home was very clean. What an oasis.

We had an amazing week at Toni's property with my two sons and daughter in law, all of my grandkids, and two nieces. We did it all: played in the stream, enjoyed paddle boarding and water skiing on the lake, horseback riding, golf, hiked at chimney rock, grilling nightly at the pavilion and even had our own karaoke night! The kids love the stream and the amazing swing. What a fantastic way to spend quality time together, enjoying nature at it's finest. Thank you Toni for sharing this gorgeous property with so many of us.
P.S. We also love the Apple Valley farm stand!

We had a wonderful stay at this home at Lake Lure. The property was just as described and matched the photos as expected. When we did have minor questions pop up, Toni was very quick to respond. The home felt safe, comfortable, and clean. There was plenty of space to spread out with our group but also felt like we were all together. The house sits in a gated, golfing community but this house feels so removed from that, really feels like your in your own world. The creek created great ambiance with the constant flowing water, and the kids liked spacing around in the small pools of water (the rocks are very slippery as Toni mentions!). The amenities that come with this home really made the difference too. Having access to the pool, lazy river/splash pad, hiking trails, putt putt, boat/kayak/paddle board rentals and restaurants was perfect for our group with 6 kids ages 3-12. All the kids had fun on this trip without a doubt. We would definitely stay at this home again in the future.

This property was perfect for our family of nine. The inside was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. It had a large island/counter space that allowed several to be in the kitchen at once. The screened porch was our favorite gathering space where we could watch and listen to the rushing water of the stream.
Several family members played golf and enjoyed an outing on the lake. We rented a golf cart that made it convenient to easily move about the resort.

This was the perfect property for our family reunion. The trout stream, bridge, and large sheltered area attached to the bunkhouse are unique features. Trout stream is beautiful and provides perfect background noise. I think this was the best overall property I have ever rented.

Just overall wonderful property. No issues with anything in the house. The resort is fun for kids and adults. But the kids really enjoyed the actual property anf surrounding grounds. Its a dream for parents who want to see their kids outside exploring nature. My kids immediately asked if we could come back, again! Deinitely recommend this house.

The pictures don’t do it justice. The property is huge with a large creek on the back. Lots of good climbing and sliding rocks in the river. The house as large with a separate cabin, an outdoor eating area which we enjoyed. Location is quiet but relatively close to town. The kitchen is large, modern and well stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. Overall, the quality and cleanliness of the property were fantastic.

This property is just beautiful, it had enough room for our whole group, and was well equipped for anything we needed. We hosted an event here an it went off without a hitch. The property is gorgeous and the creek is lovely to listen to. If we had any issues the owner was attentive and able to fix quickly. Overall could not have asked for a better property.

Second time staying here. We love the location, outdoor space ,screen porch and all the sitting areas. The outdoor pavilion provides so much sitting area ,eating area and outdoor fireplace makes it a cozy area for day and nighttime !! Beautiful setting with the stream and waterfall on the property !!! This property was absolutely awesome. It was so peaceful sitting on the porch and listening to the waterfall. The house is fully stocked with everything you need, they didn’t miss anything. The pavilion made for an amazing set up for an intimate wedding. We honestly couldn’t have asked for anything more, this house offers everything you need for a beautiful and relaxing vacation. We loved the little touches like the outdoor swing, walk bridge over the waterfall, back porch off the pavilion and of course the fire pit.

Our family loved the creek side location. The children (1, 2 and 2) loved playing in the creek and on the huge screened deck. The resort had lots to do and we loved boating on Lake Lure. The only thing that would have made the stay even better would be if there was a place for everyone to sit and eat together that was inside or on the screened porch, but we just ate in shifts or adults stood in the kitchen, there is sitting for 10 and we had 12. We definitely hope to stay again.

My husband and I brought our 3 kids and their closest friends for a fun week at Lake Lure and we were blown away by this beautiful property by the stream. We had plans for all kinds of activities during the week but ended up spending most of the time by the creek and at the beautiful house. Our 13 year olds and their two friends had daily rubber duck races and walked up and down the stream playing in the water and climbing around on the rocks. It is very slippery in places, as rocks in streams generally are, but they understand this and had a blast.
We had a tiny issue with the front door lock code upon our arrival but a quick call to Tony had it fixed and we were inside in a minute.
The house and kitchen offered all the spaces and seating needed for relaxing and to spread out. We spent a lot of mornings on the large screened porch talking and listening to the sounds of the stream below. Rocking chairs, chairs with ottomans, and a round dining table on the porch were constantly in use. We were completely isolated visually from all other neighbors but it’s a nice walk down to the pool, putt-putt, and the lively beach at the lake.
The wifi worked great everyone on the property which was a relief for our adult daughter and her boyfriend who had a few remote work meetings during our stay.
The kitchen at the house had everything we needed for baking and cooking and we prepared most meals at the house. We enjoyed the instant hot water at the sink for making tea quickly.
Evenings were spent playing games and making s’more’s around the fire pit. Our family is thankful for our time spent at this home surrounded by nature and the end-of-summer bonding time that happened here. This is a top notch property for a family vacation that I would highly recommend to anyone and we were so sad to leave - can’t wait to return!

Staying here had the feel of camping but you could go inside to sleep. We loved the stream. So much fun to walk thru and explore. The kids loved the tallest swing they’d ever played on. Grilling at the pavilion and sleeping in the bunkhouse were also a highlight. The beach was fun, SUP’s and kayaks readily available. And don’t forget the ice cream parlor. Perfect place for our family of 10. Our children and grandkids enjoyed all of the amenities of Rumbling Bald Resort. But with the beautiful river, falls, wading pools and tree swing we had the best of everything right in our back yard. Went to Chimney Rock, Grandfather Mountain, drove the Blue Ridge Parkway and enjoyed Asheville as well. Thank you Toni for sharing your beautiful home with us. We made memories for a lifetime.

Nature at its finest
This property is an absolutely beautiful, well maintained property that cannot be matched. We spent most of the time at the pavillion and in the yard at/in the brook. We rented golf carts and had fun exploring the resort. We took advantage of the lake, brought our own floats and rented a pontoon boat. 12 of us stayed comfortably at this beautiful property. We did have many issues with the wifi (in the guest house). The owner, Toni, was very responsive to texts and phone calls throughout our stay. She called her handiman as well as the internet service company to try to troubleshoot the issues. Unfortunately, the internet still did not work in the pavillion/guest house, making it impossible to use the guest house TV. We hoped to do a movie night with the family, and watch the Red Sox out there, but couldn't. This was the only drawback. Otherwise, it was a family vacation that will always be remembered!

Magical Cabin.
We had an amazing time enjoying a beautiful cabin and our OWN CREEK!!! 😃.
Every morning was magical waking up in nature but with the comfort of a fully equipped cabin and a guest cabin. The children enjoyed the swing so much they could not stop using it.
The community is breathtakingly beautiful.

Nice home on a uniquely beautiful lot with a gorgeous stream. The property is located within a golf course development, so if you are looking for a wilderness retreat, this is not it. But if you are looking for a lovely natural setting close to amenities such as golf, swimming, etc, this home is a great fit. The outdoor area - fireplace, fire pit, picnic tables, hammock, swing, bridge, etc - has lots of space for kids to explore and adults to relax. We will definitely keep this place on our list for future family gatherings!
