Welcome to Hood Canal! You will enjoy a relaxing get-away in this waterfront home one mile from Hoodsport. Enjoy a refreshing swim or go scuba diving. Bring your boat to enjoy additional splendors of the canal: water skiing, fishing, crabbing, and shrimping, when in season (must obtain appropriate permits). The oversize deck offers a gorgeous 180 degree view of the canal and the beach-side firepit provides additional hours of relaxation.

The main floor of the home has two bedrooms, each with a queen-size bed. A spacious living and dining area accompany an adjoining kitchen, two bathrooms and a laundry room to complete the main floor. A large, loft contains two queen-size beds and a crib. In the garage, a ping-pong table and foosball table add another dimension to your stay.

Also included are a 50' flat screen TV with basic cable, DVD player, and wireless internet. There is plenty of parking in the driveway, and the Hoodsport Winery is just across the highway. The home is located near a great dive spot, boat launch, fish hatchery, casino, golf courses, and Lake Cushman. This is the perfect relaxing get-away!

What a special property! We had a wonderful stay and really felt like a member of the family. The property was ideal for our trip (kayaking) and spending time with friends. Their teen daughters loved spending time in the loft above the garage, and the wraparound patio was the perfect place to watch the sunrise along Hood Canal, sip wine while watching seals frolic in the water, and stargaze after dusk. The property has a well-stocked kitchen and was clean and comfortable.

Very nice, well kept, lots of room, facilities all worked well, Kitchen was great. View is as good as it gets. Saw 3 dolphins, several seals, etc. Appliances all worked well. Host was quick to respond to questions. Clean. We will be back next year.

At first I thought the pictures online seemed sort of dated, but this house was a complete gem! It was classically authentic and very clean. I liked getting the back story from the current owner before we arrived. It had everything we needed to eat there and prepare a meal. Typically I do not chose houses that have a lot of personal effects such as family pictures all over the place, but the old pictures in the hallway were AWESOME! It brought in so much history and we imagined what it must have been like when Bill’s parents lived there. By the way, they both look like legends! I would absolutely recommend this place, it’s beautiful. We had fun playing games, ping pong, and watching the Olympics. It was very comfortable. We all wished we were there for longer than just two nights. Thank you for sharing this most amazing home!

Family vacation. My son is stationed in Tacoma and had some leave time. He always comes home but this time we all thought we would love to see him and sight see in Washington. The weather was great and the location was perfect. We met up with extended family from Bremerton and that spent a couple of hours at the house with us. The house was perfect for us with two bathrooms, laundry room, fire pit, deck and plenty of living space. We tried the oysters from the hood canal and that was a good experience. We had a great time sight seeing at Stair Case falls, whale tour at Puget Sound Express in Port Townsend, Ruby Beach, Sul Duc Falls and hot springs. We didn't spend too much time but there were some extras like games, ping pong table and a foosball table. I wish we had a longer stay.

I have stayed at the Canal House multiple times with various members of my family. Each and every time it's always clean and wonderful to walk into. On the other hand, it's so hard to leave when the time comes. Thank you for another enjoyable stay.

Great spot for girls' weekend! This was perfect beach house for catching up, playing cards, wine tasting (just walk across the street) and gentle hikes around the Lake Cushman area. The house has everything you need (and is well labeled!) and was very comfortable and charming.

Our two families spent a great weekend at the Hood Canal. Kids enjoyed the loft very much. We all played ping pong. Also, we spent a lot of time outside harvesting oysters, talking, grilling dinner and finally watching northern lights! Everything was clean and comfy, all necessities were provided (and even more). A great place to stay with ample room for friends. While our friends couldn’t make it at the last minute, we settled in for a lovely stay to hike in the area. You can hear 101 traffic, but you also hear the waves lapping on hood canal. A bonus was watching the swallows nest! And enjoying using the ping pong table!

Went with my husband and 2 young adult daughters for a wedding at Alderbrook Resort. The house was super clean, with an amazing water view. Jim was very quick to respond to questions and was very accommodating. Also, a big plus was that the living room furniture was actually comfortable and able to seat a number of people. Oh, and the kitchen is very well stocked! Would stay again.

This is the second time we stayed here. I love the location, the spacious deck overlooking the water, and just the homey, sea- themed decor. Everything is clearly marked. A huge plus is the games provided for children and adults. My granddaughters are 1 and 3 and loved the toys provided for that age group. Happy babies make for happy times for us adults. In general I love everything about this home and will definitely stay here again.

I vacation with my 5 grandsons every summer. They love hood canal. This year they rated the house as awesome with the loft, ping pong and fusball tables. I found the kitchen well stocked. Washer and dryer a bonus. It’s a great place to stay. Plenty of room for us. The kids loved the beach

Lovely water view, well stocked with all the necessities of life. Great information center set up in house. Fun, beachy decor. So much to do, highly recommend! Light switches, though labeled, were a bit confusing in main living area.

This is an awesome home to gather with family or friends. It has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Private beach access and a deck to enjoy the beautiful views. We had fun watching the seals and blue heron. A great room with plenty of seating for the entire group. We will definitely be back.

Everything was as we were told by either vrbo or Jim, the owner. This home just has a homey feel! This place is so comfortable. I love sitting on the deck and watching the water. The home is a little worn around the edges, as there were a few items that could use attention, such as the entryway grout, a rocker/recliner is torn, a burner on the stove didn't work, etc. Having said that, it was comfortable and clean, had a pretty well stocked kitchen, and a nice deck. Jim was helpful and easy to communicate with. I would stay here again.
