What a wonderful getaway! The apartment was perfectly clean and the property is stunning. The bay views are so peaceful and wildlife is everywhere. We saw so many deer while we were there!
Pat is an absolutely fabulous host. She was wonderful to chat to and even took pictures of us playing in the yard with our daughter. She was on top of it when we needed something but was also happy to give us privacy. We even had a little accident with a soda can chipping the pine floor and she was great about it. We offered to pay for the fix but she wouldn’t hear of it!
The location is out of the way but close enough to downtown Bath and Brunswick that there’s plenty to do. A trip to Boothbay Harbor or Freeport is easy and quick!
If you’re thinking about booking, stop — just do it! You’ll have a wonderful time.

The place was cute, quaint and just what we needed to unwind for a few days! Pat the host was super nice and accommodating throughout the entire process. We were there for the Thomas Point Bluegrass Festival and the property was only minutes away. We saw seals playing in the bay, eagles among other wildlife. What a treat! We hope to be able to stay at this spot again soon!

Gorgeous property in a great location for all mid-coast Maine excursions. We loved our stay & Pat was a great host! Highly recommend!

Our short stay with our 2 boys (10 & 12) and our dog was nothing short of amazing. I grew up spending summers in Maine, just a few miles up the road, and it felt like I was able to recapture some of those memories and make new ones with my family. The property on the edge of the water alongside the dock were great for just sitting around...and great for striper fishing. My family and I caught 9 nice fish on the incoming tide, just a couple of hours before the given time for high tide that day. We grabbed a few keepers on bloodworms, but we threw them all back for the next family to catch. The home is less than an hour from a number of awesome destinations. Finally, Pat couldn't have been more accommodating. She really went out of her way to make us feel at home, and our dog was especially fond of her. She was just a text message away and was able to provide a number of recommendations for places to visit, grab a bite to eat, or markets to pick up some fresh seafood to cook at the house. We would definitely go back, just for the striper fishing alone!

Great location to explore mid coast Maine. Relaxing views of the water and lots of ospreys and eagles, out of the way but not isolated. Rooms were clean and had everything needed for a family. Host was very friendly and helpful.

Quintessential Maine property. Pat’s home is absolutely beautiful. It’s conveniently located close to lots of activities to do (museums, beaches, restaurants, shopping, etc.) She is a very lovely host. Non-intrusive and very responsive when needed. She gave great suggestions on things to do. We had a very relaxing and peaceful stay and appreciate having been able to share Pat’s home so we could enjoy the Maine coast.

This is a beautiful property that feels secluded yet is just a short drive to Bath and Brunswick. Wonderful views of ocean coves. Lots of eagles and ospreys. Kayaking was great when tides and wind allowed.
We were there during the July heat wave and because only the bedroom has AC the main room in the apartment got quite warm during the day. Much cooler down by the water and in the evenings.

Pat couldn't have been nicer or more welcoming. The spot is gorgeous, on a point overlooking a stretch of water, with
birds providing the soundtrack and the entertainment. Highly recommend.

The efficiency apartment was well located with access to the water on three points and filtered views of the water. While the bathroom is small, the space allows for complete privacy. Pat, the owner is most gracious and accommodating but respectful of your privacy. Great location with easy access to Bath, Brunswick, Popham Beach, and the Botanical Gardens. We also enjoyed just relaxing at the property.

The apartment was spacious and light-filled yet with a cozy feel, very comfortable bed and chairs, and all the implements we needed. Sitting on the porch in the morning was delightful as was waking up to the sun through the large windows in the bedroom. The property is very spacious with many comfortable places to sit and amazing views out over the bay. It was tempting to just sit in the hammock and read while occasionally looking up to take in the beauty of it all. Pat was a wonderful host and gave us recommendations that turned out really well. We enjoyed everything about our trip--the planned and unplanned parts--and choosing this location with Pat as the host made that possible.

We had a lovely stay. The apartment is located in a spectacular setting attached to the main house. While we spent much of our time working, there is much to do in the area and the outdoor area, weather permitting, provides lots of places to lounge and take in the ocean, trees and animals. Super relaxing. The host, who lives in the main house, is kind and helpful!

Having been to Maine before (moving around to multiple B&Bs), this trip and wonderful property allowed us to "home base" from a beautiful location. The Host is very accommodating and knowledgeable. It is just minutes from anything you need yet once on this tidal slice of heaven, you feel removed from the world. We feel so fortunate to have spent several weeks on this secluded spot and to have met the owner. A true and quintessential Maine experience...

Pat the owner is the host to beat all hosts. She went out of her way to make sure we had the best most comfortable stay possible. From wildflowers in the apartment to boat trips for lobster. All this and one of the Maine coasts prettiest water views where we swam and kayaked. Back home, we don’t just miss being there, we miss Pat! ;-(

We've stayed at a variety of properties all over coastal Maine from Kennebunk to Bar Harbor. This is the best place we've stayed without question. Feels very remote without being difficult to access, stunning scenery, kayaking, hiking close by, great host.

Great location. Very close to both Brunswick and Bath. The views from the property and nearby are spectacular. Pat was a great host. She was very accommodating and we thoroughly enjoyed interacting with her. I would highly recommend to anyone.

Park like setting
Beautiful Maine location on private back bay. Natural setting offering numerous nature walks and access to water. Very helpful and responsive host who provided numerous suggestions on areas to explore on Maine’s mid coast area. Property is near a couple excellent breweries and within an hour of Portland’s restaurant scene..

Stunningly lovely Maine waterfront location
Few private properties on the coast of Maine have as much land and water frontage as this West Bath location. It is at the absolute dead end of a private road. A huge grass field surrounds a large house with attached rental unit. The property owner, Pat, was friendly, interesting, and unobtrusive. The grass field leads to three separate points of land into the tidal waterfront, one with a dock. The natural beauty is staggering. It is quiet and private.
The rental unit is clean and bright, with views of the property and water. Both Bath and Brunswick are easily reached for restaurants and shopping. Ice cream. Seafood. We fully expect to return again. Our Sheltie concurs.

A perfect stay!
Our stay was wonderful! Our rental met all our priorities: to be away from crowds (but not remote) and to be in a beautiful area with views of trees and the ocean. Most importantly, the owner took great care to clean and disinfect the apartment to meet COVID guidelines, including leaving several days between renters to air out the interior. We had everything we looked for and more. The apartment is very tastefully furnished. Its living area and balcony have amazing views of the grounds, trees, and water. The kitchen is remarkably well-stocked and the bed is comfortable (with a lovely view of the stars at night and treetops in the morning). The bathroom has ample hot water. The rental is close to a local, side-by-side fish and farmer’s market, and a seasonal ice cream store, plus fantastic bakeries in nearby Brunswick. Our city dog absolutely loved racing around the spacious grounds off-leash. We also enjoyed walking most days on the private road that runs a half mile through the forest. The owner was incredibly welcoming and thoughtful throughout our stay. We very much look forward to returning next year!

Amazing!
This rental was everything we were hoping for and more. The views are breathtaking. The property is secluded and peaceful. The apartment is exactly as pictured and described. Clean and welcoming. Pat (and Ranger) are perfect hosts. Gracious and generous, Pat’s knowledge of the area and suggestions were an added bonus to a beautiful stay. The apartment is private and doesn’t feel connected to the house. It felt like we had our own private cove, with welcomed occasional visits from an old friend. We kayaked the cove and beyond often. We saw seals, eagles, osprey, and even a mink on the shore of the point. Our dog even enjoyed climbing the rocks on the shore and splashing around in low tide looking for various sea life.
We even made a day trip to Acadia, about an 2 hr 45 min drive. We were able to hike multiple trails and see a lot. It was an easy drive and worth the travel time.
I can’t say enough good things about Pat and her Broad Cove property!

Beautiful and relaxing
We loved this property and found it to be an excellent location to use as a home base for exploring the area. We also found it to be very relaxing. We spent plenty of time on the point watching the birds and other wildlife. We also used the hammock one lazy afternoon. Mornings and evenings were full of lots of animal sightings including; deer, porcupine, fox, and a fisher that ran past me while I was lounging on the point. Pat was a great host and we visited several of her recommended restaurants and points of interest. We would definitely stay again!

The most peaceful setting
Pat is a wonderful host and offers a spectacular location to totally unwind. The multitude of restful sitting spots to enjoy nature at its finest are settled at special points on the property. Low tides brings wonderful bird sightings, eagles, osprey, terns and gulls. Ranger, Pats dog is the sweetest, smiling boy who kept me company on strolls or just hanging. The location of the property is ideal along mid coast ME with availability to state parks, beaches and shopping. My new favorite spot. Can’t wait for my next visit. Thank you Pat and Ranger.

Most wonderful vacation
We had a perfect week at Pat‘s place. The property is just beautiful. Pat is a perfect host, always available for a recommendation, helping us to book the kayaks and taking us out on her boat to get lobsters. After a day it already felt like coming back home to a good friend.
Thank you, Pat for such a terrific vacation.

Gorgeous Setting
Words will not do justice to the beauty found on this property. First, the apartment itself is perfect. A nice great room with everything you need for cooking and relaxing. A cute balcony overlooking the property. Comfortable bed and nice views from the bedroom. The property itself has stunning views. Plenty of seating options outside. Hiking trails on the property and nearby. Pat was an amazing host. We were lucky enough to be guests on her boat twice! Once we toured the area and another time to buy oysters from a local oyster farm. Best oysters we have ever tasted!! If you are looking for a wonderful getaway with a serene environment, You have found your spot. And a big thank you to Pat for truly making our stay memorable.

Great Location on the Water
This is a great property. Pat was a great host with local knowledge of places to visit, places to eat, etc. We enjoyed our vacation here and our dog had a great time in the water every day.

Very Serene and yet still close to all the mid coast sites
Very nice over the garage studio that was perfect for two of us. The kitchen was big enough for breakfasts a few dinners and the ability to regroup. The property had several sitting areas to enjoy, ranger the hosts dog was fun loving. When it got hot there is only Heat on the thermostat so fans were the only cooling. Being close to Brunswick, Bath within 5 min was ideal for dining, and all major sites from Camden to Portland were within an hour. Would definitely return.

A picturesque and wholesome corner of the world, great for a true family getaway!
Our family of four spent a fantastic week at this beautiful and well-kept property! Mornings were spent with coffee on the dock watching our two city kids frolic freely on the gentle slope of Pat's property, down the hill for "hammock time" and then to the water to watch the ripples of the water and identify the eagles, ospreys, great heron and egrets on their morning hunts. The guest apartment is very comfortable, immaculate and unfussy with light streaming in from the terrace and skylights, ample space for playing and reading and preparing meals. Pat is a spectacular host who was always quick to text back recommendations and advice as we visited the surrounding area but also respectful of our family's space. It felt that we were visiting a friend in fact - and we welcomed crossing paths in the relaxed atmosphere she fosters. My sons delighted in the boat trip she took us on to visit harbor seals and explore the nearby seas. Visitors can be assured that West Bath is centrally located to a number of sites - Popham Beach, Boothbay Harbor and Brunswick which have charter boats, beaches, museums and great restaurants for a well-rounded trip although one could just as easily while away the time on the property looking for porcupines and breathing in that crisp ocean air! This was just the trip we were looking for and couldn't be happier with our experience!

Absolutely beautiful!
This is a stunning piece of paradise--a beautiful wildflower garden leading down quiet tidal waters, lots of space and places to lounge and watch the water or explore. An Audubon reserve is within hiking or kayaking distance (kayaks aren't available on site but rentals can be delivered). Our small child loved exploring the property and playing with the friendly dog--a wonderful spot for kids although they must be watched due to water and drops, etc. The apartment has all you need, is private although attached to the larger house, and has a lovely balcony. The owner is wonderfully hospitable and has great tips for the area- lots of great beaches around and Bath and Brunswick are close by but we felt away from it all--exactly what we wanted from a Maine vacation.

A tranquil gem on a beautiful, quiet cove
This place was heavenly. Walking down to the point with coffee in the morning, listening to the shore birds and watching the tide ebb, was restorative and relaxing. Our family of 4 kayaked and swam in the cove (rented kayaks from Seaspray and had them delivered), went hiking in the Hamilton Audubon Preserve across the cove, watched seals pop up just off the dock at high tide, and read books in the hammock and the Adirondack chairs. We made dinner each night (except one, when we went to a great restaurant in Bath called No Coward Soul). The guest unit's kitchen is small but well-appointed. We used the outdoor grill and ate at the elegant cedar table on the grassy terrace next to the blooming roses in the garden. A lush sweep of lawn overlooks the water, and you feel like you're on a small estate. Pat is a wonderful host - warm and down-to-earth, not obtrusive but so, so helpful and kind. The guest unit is spotless and home-like. Best sleep ever. Would return again in a heartbeat.

Pat is a lovely host. Warm and welcoming.
The property is beautiful! Set out on a point, one can sit on chairs that are strategically placed throughout the property to look out on the cove. There are kayaks available to use,
That apartment is comfortable and well equipped with linens, cooking utensils and all of the comforts of home.
I highly recommended this lovely quiet home .

Lovely apartment with beautiful outdoor property and easy access to the water.
Pat's place was a perfect location for us to explore the area, both the towns and the water. Great views from the apartment and fantastic grounds for our dog to enjoy! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and talking with Pat. Would definitely visit again!

Absolutely Perfect!
Pat's place is perfect. We spent hours on the dock watching the birds, hermit crabs, and our dogs play in the ocean. Most mornings started on the dock with a cup of coffee. We brought our kayaks and really enjoyed paddling around all of the inlets. Timing of the tides is pretty important as there are huge fluctuations in water level between high and low tides. The grounds are beautiful with flower gardens and ocean views. Pat was super helpful in helping us decide where to go during our short stay. We were never disappointed with a place Pat suggested! We can't wait to go back to go to a few more places on her list!

A special place for a special time
My husband and I spent two wonderful weeks at this home. The pictures don’t do this beautiful place justice. The beauty is only surpassed by the peacefulness. Pat and her dog, Ranger, couldn’t have been friendlier or more accommodating. We would highly recommend this special place.
