Very private location on the water which is outstanding. Nice appliances and electronics. Bedding materials and towels are satisfactory at best. Exterior of house needs attention. Luxury may not be an accurate description.

The house was beautiful! The kitchen was well equipped. There was a lot of room. Overall this house was wonderful!

My family enjoyed a wonderful holiday week at this house. We have family in Bath, so we were very familiar with the area. There is so much to do in the area and not too far from Freeport or Portland. There is water at the deck all time, so you are not relying on the tide schedules.
There was nothing missing from the house. You will not be running out to Walmart or Shaws, because it is fully stocked. From throws in the living room to nightlights in the rooms and bathroom, the owners thought of everything. There were spices, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, broom, swiffer, toilet paper, tons of towels, sheets, blankets, books, games, candles, lighters, propane tanks, a SECOND FRIDGE, power strips, platters, lobster dinner cookware (and suggestions on how to get lobsters delivered to the dock), a dock, plenty of relaxing seats outside, washer, dryer, wonderful Wifi, and so much more. I can't even think of one item that is missing.
The cleaning crew does an amazing job. I didn't see any dust, dirt, lint in dryer, crumbs or anything that would gross someone out. The house was spotless. Because it was so clean, it was easy to keep clean. The kitchen utensils, dishes and everything else was clean and made eating there enjoyable.
This rental is worth the money. Everyone had space to spread out with the two hang out spaces and plenty of room to all eat at once. 3.5 baths was great. I really liked that there was a half bath on the bottom level, so no one had to use the full bath that the two ground level rooms were using. Every two bedrooms had a full bath to share.
I can't rave about this house enough. We have been gone for less than 24 hours and wish we were back there.

This property was beautiful and we truly enjoyed our time here. We had the misfortune of being there during one of the hotter weeks of the year, and due to the western facing bank of large windows on the house, the house would get quite warm in the afternoon hours. Thankfully, it would cool sufficiently at night so that we slept comfortably. My only feedback for the owners is to consider some sort of blinds on those back windows/skylights to prevent the “greenhouse effect” on those hot days. True, it would also block the fabulous view, but you can always enjoy that from the deck. Often in the afternoons, the deck was cooler than the house, because of the breeze. If not for this, I would have given five stars easily. Thank you for such a gorgeous, well outfitted house.

This was an amazing property! Quiet, clean, comfortable and plenty of room! The deck was our favorite part and we have decided that we'd like to return and stay for a longer period of time. Soooo worth it!!!

The views are just spectacular. Nestled in the trees with water views. The house is spacious and everyone can spread out into their own spaces if needed. The kitchen is fully equipped for those who wish to stay in and cook. This is a great VRBO for families or a romantic get away. We would go back.

This was actually our second time renting this spectacular West Bath home. Once again, we found it to be well maintained and very clean. The kitchen is spacious and very well stocked. We spent some time on the deck taking in the sunshine and the incredible views. It accommodated our group of 8 longtime friends perfectly! In fact, we enjoyed it so much we will likely make it an annual event!

Our group of friends really liked this space. The location feels pretty secluded (about 20 minutes from grocery stores) but not out in nowhere, the view is gorgeous, and there are lots of spaces for relaxing and hanging out. The nature of the house design means sound travels easily, but all of us still managed to sleep in when needed. Good firm beds, but it could have better pillows. Overall, I'd book there again happily!

We enjoyed our stay. The view is so pretty! I love that we could use the fireplace. Note if you visit in winter, the roads don't get plowed very often. The staff was very gracious and let us leave later due to the road conditions. I would come back!

This is our 5th annual ladies retreat. Our stay was amazing. There is plenty of room for a dozen of ladies, and the view was spectacular along with the glorious sunsets. Totally recommend for a family and friends retreat

This house was wonderful - great location and beautifully furnished. It fit all the needs of a large group.

The location and house itself are great. We traveled with our Brady Bunch family, so needed a lot of beds and space, and this house accommodated with ease. Also had a fully stocked kitchen and starter products, which is always helpful.
The location on the water is beautiful, but we were disappointed we could not swim off the dock. Signs are posted saying no jumping into the water (understandable given the tides), but the ladder was not in a condition for use (covered in thick algae and generally gross).
The main complaint is directed at the management company regarding the cleanliness of the house at check-in. The house was gross. Towels were dirty. Sheets were covered in hair. The downstairs shower was filthy (you could see an actual dirty footprint on the shower floor). The floors were unclean. While the house itself is a great landing spot for a nice vacation on the Maine coast, arriving to a house we had to fully clean prior to use was annoying to say the least.

Beautiful view and comfortable furnishings. Plenty of room for family to be together or spread out between the main living room and the upstairs game room.

This property was better than advertised. It was clean, fully stocked, and comfortable even for a group as large as ours (9 adults and 5 children). The proximity to the water was phenomenal, and the privacy and solitude we had at the house couldnt be beat. It was the perfect place to host our family reunion. We loved it!!!!!

The house and property were beautiful and the house was clean and had everything. The people who run the rental were top notch and very accommodating to everything.

The Location is perfect! The house was not clean when we arrived. The floors were dirty; the shower upstairs was dirty; the full bathroom sink downstairs was very slow to drain; the full bathroom sink upstairs leaked; we only found two pans/pots that would work on the new stove; there were 3 full smelly trash cans in the garage; and the propane tank was empty.
The kitchen was well equipped, otherwise and we certainly enjoyed the deck! We called housekeeping and they said they were short on staff and would try to get someone there. We did get propane tanks delivered on Monday and the garbage picked-up by Thursday. One of our party developed Covid and that kept housekeeping from coming later in the week. Housekeeping decided to give us a refund for 1/2 of the cleaning fee. That was nice but we would have rather had a clean house.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this property! There were 10 adults and 4 children (all ages 3 years and younger) and we had plenty of room. The floor plan allowed for a private setting for each of our family members. The view was also beautiful! As another reviewer mentioned, the house is due for some upgrades and probably wouldn’t be considered “luxury” as included in the listing title (needs new mattresses, more plush towels, etc) and there were a few broken things in the house (the cabinet under kitchen sink was held closed with duck tape, the shade to a lamp was broken, a closet door was broken, etc). The house was due for a more thorough cleaning which we noticed as toys made its way under couches and beds. We also would have very much enjoyed using the beautiful fireplace (which is only for decorative purposes). Overall we did really enjoy our stay and would plan to stay here again considering the price for the number of people in our group.

Beautiful setting, not luxury
First of all this is not a luxury home! Small things like pillows that were flat beds that was hard as a board. I could not get a good nights sleep and when you come to a place you expect to relax and find that it is uncomfortable and subpar it is completely frustrating. I actually left a day early on our vacation because I needed a good night sleep. bathrooms had no place to set down your belongings and no shelf was provided. The showers were terrible, shower heads that did not rinse you completely. The couch in the TV viewing area was the worst I’ve ever sat on! Plus this was the seating to watch TV as a group. There were no lightbulbs in one of the bedrooms rooms for both lamps. There was no place to hang your clothes in any of the bedrooms downstairs. As far as the fit and finish goes the kitchen doors were coming off the hinges. When we arrived the garbage can was broken, you need to use the foot pedal to use the garbage can and it was broken.

We had a great family vacation
10.0
Our family of 8 adults and our children just wrapped up our week long vacation at Birch Point, and if was fantastic! Kitchen was stocked with all you need, and them some. Plenty of extra towels and sheets. The view, and the sunsets on the water were the best! One was more breathtaking than the next! Large deck to hang out on, but plenty of space inside too, so we didnt feel crowded. The hosts were generous and there were toiletries, laundry and dish soap, toilet paper and some paper towels to get us started.
I would love to see it in the fall! We would definitely stay again!!

Nice location
We had an issue on the 1st day so I called Vacasa who is in charge of the house and I never got a reply from a property representative for 3 days. House wasn't clean and the float wasn't in the water to use as advertised.

West Bath, ME Retreat
The property had a beautiful and peaceful ocean view with lots of bedrooms and entertainment space for family and friends. My husband and I stayed there for 4 nights and 7 family members who lived in Maine gathered to be with us on one of the days of our stay. We had plenty of space indoors to enjoy a meal and conversation since the weather was too cold and windy to enjoy the outside deck. We gathered in the living room which had plenty of seating for everyone and looked out on the gorgeous ocean view. The house was well stocked with utensils and plates, but you had to hand wash utensils because there was no dishwasher basket to hold utensils and there was no drying rack on the kitchen counter for dishes. They also did not provide more than two kitchen garbage bags, so you have to buy or bring your own. The house was very clean, there were plenty of towels, and extra blankets, and the beds were comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing property and location!
We had a lovely time at this property. The photos displayed it accurately. We had to pry ourselves away from the view to enjoy other activities. Could have been quite content to spend the week on the deck.

Beautiful
Very nice house. “Master bedroom “ could use king bed , normal height as the queen bed in there is too tall and squeaky and bouncy.

July Family Vacation 2021
What a location! Beautiful spot and perfect for boating. Our extended family of 15 enjoyed the spacious house and the water access for boating and kayaking. The kitchen worked well for the large group. Only minor issue was the gas grill was not functioning properly and caused us to adjust our dinner plans at the last minute. Overall a very successful and fun week for all the family with plenty of room for all and many card games on the deck.

Exactly What We Were Hoping For
After 14 months of separation / isolation we couldn’t wait to get together for a ladies only long weekend. Eight of us long time dear friends / sisters rented this beautiful home in West Bath. The views are spectacular!! The house was large and comfortable and everything we could have hoped for. We spent some time at the shops in town. We visited the museum. But the majority of our long weekend was spent having a absolutely wonderful time right there, at the house. It was perfect!
