Beautiful casita!, Walking distance to The Plaza, Kit Carsen park, and all amenities you might need. Inger is a delight! Visit her studio right next door. No complaints for us, but a word of warning to some - the bedroom can only be reached by a narrow, spiral staircase. We found it charming , but some could be hindered. Worth the climb though because the bed was really comfy!

The guesthouse was very spacious and full of light. It’s full of the artist’s work and other pieces which was very charming. The location is absolutely fantastic for exploring Taos.
However, all the light meant it was very bright once the sun came up in the morning. I would recommend a sleep mask to any light sleepers.
There is A/C which is not always available in this area so the fact this guesthouse did have it is a plus. But the thermostat is locked and not controllable, which I’m sure is to save on energy. It meant I was very warm at night even with the provided fans as the windows weren’t operable in the bedroom.
As a heads up to others, there’s also a required additional damage protection plan when booking. I don’t recall this being mentioned in the listing. It’s not a huge amount but a fee to be aware of.

The property is well kept and comfortable. We walked to Taos Plaza several times for coffee, relaxation, and to people watch.

This was a lovely casita in a great location. Our only concern was that there should have been more exploring disclosure about how narrow the spiral staircase was to the loft and the fact that the only bathroom is located on the first floor, where a trundle bed is the only sleeping option. This arrangement would not work for many guests.

Excellent experience. Taos is so special, this casita is incredible and Inger was awesome. Many things are walkable from this location and the description is very accurate. Would stay again. Thank you!

Inger’s Casita was the perfect location to celebrate our 55th wedding anniversary. The Casita was beautiful, comfortable and felt like home. The location was great and within walking distance to the Taos plaza, restaurants and a fine wine bar. Inger took great care of us and provided special treats to celebrate our anniversary. If you go to Taos this is the place to stay!

We were so pleased with our choice of this property--it felt so "authentic", spacious, very well equipped and stocked, great location--check in was seamless--property manager called to check in with us before we arrived! They made our 50th anniversary memorable! We would definitely recommend to others!

My husband and I enjoyed the artistic flavor of this guest house, with it's wonderful artworks on display throughout the property. A very short walk to the Taos Plaza made for easy wanderings to specially shops, restaurants and bars.
We enjoyed having a full kitchen to cook a few of our meals at home. We will definitely be back!

Lovely, quiet property within walking distance to the plaza.

Nice place, good location. Beware of narrow stairs to loft bed and light in the early morning from skylights. And thermostat locked - set at 69/70 which was fine except when it got cold outside and we would have liked to turn it down at night to sleep.

Perfect escape getaway for two within walking distance of the heart of town. We enjoyed the faux fireplaces that looked and sounded so real (didn't mind missing real wood & smoke smell) and the layout had a unique coziness that made us feel right at home. Inger's gallery was right next door and she honored us with a private tour on our first full day (even offered up eggnog while we chatted). All in all, we'd stay again in a heartbeat!

We loved this location. It is centrally located in town near museums and restaurants. The owner is a lovely lady and talented artist. The casita is charming and comfortable.

We had a delightful stay. It was clean, spacious, and beautifully appointed. The stairwell is best navigated without stockinged feet.

It was a very nice stay, lovely casita. Our only concerns were the narrow spiral staircase and the tight parking spots.

Perfect location in the heart of the Art & Historic District! We were able to walk almost everywhere, and really enjoyed meeting and viewing the artist's gallery. The property is enchanting, cozy and colorful! Just like Taos.

The location was great - close to the Taos central plaza which had restaurants & shopping and was very scenic. The building is historic and very quaint. The artist owner and the manager were very nice and helpful. The beds were comfortable. However, the weather was warm and the air conditioning unit did not seem to be able to keep up with the size of the casita. Also, the sky light windows did not have shades to block the morning sun.

Convenient and close to many places in Taos
This property is well-maintained and clean, a very short walk to the plaza. We always had parking right in front, which was great. The place was really large for the two of us - bedroom, large living room, kitchen - and it could sleep more people pretty easily.
A few (minor) quibbles - the place was dimly lit, which made reading in the evening a challenge. There were very, very few basics in the kitchen. It would be nice to have a little oil, salt, sugar available. We also found that the lack of any ability to regulate the temperature meant that we were too hot every night, but it was still too cold out (this was March) to open the windows. Maybe guests could have some limited access to turn down the heat?
Overall, we really liked Taos and liked our stay in this very nice VRBO.

Wonderful Stay!
We had a bit of a hiccup checking in to the property when we were told we were staying in one unit but received the code for the other, which is actually where we were supposed to be. We got lucky and figured it out on our own in the middle of the night but we never did end up hearing back from the property manager when we reached out asking for help.
Other than that our stay was wonderful! It’s such a fun place, close to the plaza. We really enjoyed it so much and would certainly recommend it to anyone coming to visit.

Great stay in Taos
My friend and I enjoyed staying at Inger Jirby’s casitas. It is located right in the heart of Taos yet it is secluded and very quiet. Check in was a breeze with the keys available in the lockbox. The casitas is beautifully decorated including prints of Inger’s paintings, it was homey , roomy and charming . The winding staircase was a bit tight to for my friend to navigate but I didn’t have trouble getting up or down. With that being said, I decided to unpack my packing cubes and carry them up rather than try to schlep my suitcase up. The upstairs bed was very comfortable.
My friend rested well on the trundle bed in the living room.
I would certainly stay there again and recommend it as a great getaway spot

Wonderful casita close to plaza
Ingers casita was a perfect get away. Well appointed with everything a couple would need for an enjoyable time. Got to visit with inger in her studio and enjoyed the conversation and information. Easy check in and a great stay!

Winter Getaway in Taos
Great location, walking distance to the plaza. Loved watching the snow as we relaxed inside. We just wished it had a real fireplace to add to the ambience. Inger was a great hostess.

Nice Casita but no AC
The Casita itself is beautiful. It is in a convenient location, close to Taos plaza. The casita was stocked really well with everything you need, from laundry detergent to cooking utensils and everything in between. The couple things that make me not want to return is NO AC in the casita! It was 95 plus out and still felt cooler than inside. This was a huge concern for my family. The other con is the parking. Very tight space in a lot that is shared with art gallery guests. Overall, I'd recommend if they got AC or maybe in cooler weather months.

Beautiful homeaway
This home was just as represented. Very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. It is on an historic street, filled with galleries. It is within easy walking distance to the center square filled with shops. Lots of things to do to keep us busy. The hostess was quickly responsive when a slight mix up occurred and very pleasant throughout. A great place!

Lots of room, close to The Plaza
We were surprised when we walked in to the room because it's more like an apartment. So often the pictures on the website provide photos that make everything look so much more spacious--not so with this place. You definitely get more than you expect! We weren't in the room much as we were skiing, but when we were there it was quite comfortable. The only thing to be aware of is the narrow spiral staircase to get to the bed in the loft, although the one of the couches is also a trundle bed if needed. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

Centrally located in the charming town of Taos.

Perfect Getaway Spot!
What a fun space! We spent 3 nights in this rental last week & it was better than we expected. First, the location could not be better - only a couple minutes walk to the plaza. And when you step into the casita you feel as though you have stepped into another world - the decor is what I would call a good kind of "quirky." The pictures on the website portray the space accurately, but they can't do it justice. You have to see it in person to get the full effect. It takes awhile to take it all in and you discover new things over the course of your stay. The kitchen is fully equipped and the bathroom has both a tub and shower. The trundle bed is very comfortable should you need to use it. Great internet service and cable tv. The only issue we had was that the thermostat for the heat was locked and we could not adjust the temperature, so it got a little nippy inside after the sun went down (easily corrected but something you should ask about.) Also, you need to be able to climb a rather steep spiral staircase to get to the bedroom, so keep that in mind (not a negative for most folks, but something to keep in mind if you have trouble with steps.)
This was a wonderful, reasonably priced place which we thoroughly enjoyed. We highly recommend it.

Primo Casita!
Casita #6 was a perfect stay for me and my Tibetan! Location is Primo as is the apartment! It was my time to read, listen to music, carry in from Cid's and enjoy the history of Taos through museum visits (again). I took day trips out to photograph some new areas and recapture the old. Trying the new restaurants mixed in with my old favorites was a treat too! My R&R was perfecto! Grazie Inger!

Four days were not enough
My husband and I spent four nights here December 17-21st. We came from central Texas to see snow for Christmas. The Casita was the perfect location for exploring the town on foot. Everything we needed was available in the casita. There are several good restaurants we enjoyed and Eskes brew pub was a fun surprise. I hesitated a little at the spiral staircase in this rental. It is well constructed and has wider treads than others I have seen so it was not a problem for us. You will not be able to get large suitcases upstairs. If you have a chance to rent this property, you will enjoy it.

Beautiful guest house in a great location
We spent 3 nights in this unit and it was wonderful. The location cannot be beat as it is a 2 minute walk to Taos plaza, many restaurants, and a great grocery. The unit is nicely appointed with everything you might need. The owner was great in terms of communication throughout the process and our stay. Two things I would highlight. The first is that the spiral staircase up to the bedroom and bathroom is extremely tight. If you have any mobility issues then I could see this being a huge challenge, and the only bathroom is upstairs. The other is that the unit did not have the best air circulation and did get a little on the warm side. It wasn't too bad, but it also wasn't the hottest I have seen Taos so it might get uncomfortable for folks who are used to central air if Taos has a real hot stretch.

Most Wonderful Retreat
This was absolutely the best vacation I have ever taken. I felt right at home in this Casita immediately. Everything needed to accommodate my extended stay was available. Decor is most charming. This Casita is well designed, updated and clean. The location relative to all of Taos could not have been more perfect, I was able to walk to most everywhere I wanted to go. I can't wait to return!

This is the place to stay in Taos
We had a wonderful time at this guest house during the Christmas Holiday It is located right in downtown Taos, next to the town square, galleries, and resataurants, on a historic side street providing an excellent walking location. The guest house was very spacious for our family of 4. But what really sets this apart from other propertiess is the impeccable decor by the artist/owner; Literally every corner has something unique and very much in the spirit of Taos, from handmade textiles, to origional paintings and artisitic furnishings. For us, this, along with the hospitality of the owner and manager, provided the complete Taos experience that we may have missed if we stayed eleswhere. If we return to Taos, there is no question that this is where we would prefer to stay.
