Absolutely wonderful location and loved this stay!

Such a beautiful view, both inside and outside the cabin. We enjoyed being on the water and seeing the seals, porpoise, and eagles nearby. It was in a rather remote area, so it was very private, which we enjoyed. We found it easy to get around when we wanted to go to the park.

Our extended family returned for our 4th or 5th trip back to Noble cottage. Everything was wonderful. Beautiful sunsets and special family memories gained. Thank you Roger!

Fantastic rental. Lots of space, 2 kitchens - somewhat rustic. Huge deck overlooking the ocean. Amazing view - we saw lots of wildlife- loons, hawks, bald eagle, porpoises, and jellyfish. Great experience.

The house is on high ground overlooking the cove. Great kayaking, paddle boarding and sunsets. The water is cold, and the kids competed yo see who could stay in the longest. 😋
The owner gave us great advice on restaurants!
Thanks for a great vacation.

We had 10 adults - house was perfect, plenty of room, we loved the porch and the dock. Not too far from Acadia trailheads etc., and nice to be away from the crowds. Will definitely try to go back!

Lots of room for our four families to gather to celebrate our 50th anniversary. If you enjoy the outdoors this is perfect location. Some of the furniture needs updating but the beds were comfy. Thanks to Roger for his responsiveness.

This was a lovely place to stay. It was right on the water with a great view a very large deck from which to enjoy the view and a dock from which to access the water. Great for a family gathering. The only consideration is that it is a 30 minute drive to Bar Harbor.

For me the best days are spent on the water and this location was perfect, with the dock providing easy access for boating. The house is comfortable for a large, multi-generational group. There are some serious kitchen tools and utensils that enhanced the enjoyment for our group of adults who like to cook, the two kitchens facilitated food preparation, and the close access to Hodgdon Seafood made for high-quality provisions. This "quite side" of MDI is one of the special places and this house provided excellent views of the sunsets as well as sightings of seals, eagles, and dolphins right from the large deck. A hard place to leave.

Best View in MDI
We had a great week here hiking, rock climbing and sailing with a daily deep in the beautiful sea. And plenty of deck time enjoying the awesome view. Roger couldn’t be more accommodating and helpful. Loved our stay here.

This was our third time at Noble Cottage. Our family and friends always have a great time. Plenty of room for two families or more. The water views and sunsets are amazing. Roger is always responsive if anything is needed.

Great family vacation spot near Acadia
We had a fantastic week at Nobel House, bringing family together from four New England states. The place is just as described in the listing, and the deck and views are fabulous. We were fortunate to have ideal weather. The house is in a great location--quiet and private but easy access to everything Acadia offers. The house allows people to spread out and get some quite time, but also gather for lots of fun and memories.

Gorgeous Sunsets!
We enjoyed our stay at Noble House! The views and sunsets from the huge back deck are spectacular and the location is beautiful and secluded. The house was inviting and a good amount of space for our family of 3 generations. Host Roger provided some great recommendations for things to do in the area. A couple things to keep in mind: there is no Verizon cell reception, the internet is so slow it's sometimes nonexistent (repeatedly re-setting the router helped) and the main kitchen could be better equipped (decent knives, an updated oven, enough dinnerware for a large group, etc.). But despite those gripes, we had a great stay overall!

Great Acadia experience!
This is an incredible place especially
If you are looking to relax after a day of activities or simply stay at the house and kayak or even venture swimming. We were 3 adults and 4 children under 8. Deck with amazing views no matter at what time of the day with gorgeous sunsets. Comfy beds and well stocked kitchen especially for seafood. We had fresh seafood every day from nearby places. Acadia surrounds you.. Roger was very helpful and responsive. Would stay again! Wonderful! Thank you for sharing your home.

Noble Cottage Serenity
Our family (10 adults, 1 infant & 1 well-behaved small dog) had an amazing stay at Noble Cottage! This is a sprawling, well loved family home with lots of history. The apartment is attached and seamless to the main house. The shining star of the house is the massive deck overlooking the water, accessible from the main house and apartment by sliding glass doors. The water access - dock is perfect for kayaking. Our host, Roger, could not have been more friendly and helpful! We made strawberry-rhubarb crisp from fresh rhubarb picked from the property. We ventured out to take an ocean cruise, to the many magnificent gardens on Mount Desert Island, to hike at Acadia, to the Bass Harbor light house, and to Bar Harbor, all wonderful outings, but that said...we could have spent the whole vacation happily at Noble Cottage!

Magical Place and for Sailors Perfection!
We were an extended family of 11, ranging in ages from 3 - 70. This is an old family camp cottage that allowed for comfortable private space and wonderful common area space in the larger kitchen and living area. It is rustic but comfortable, exactly what we were looking for. We loved the memorabilia displayed throughout the home adding to its uniqueness and loved that we could share in its history. The large, well furnished outside deck was the highlight of the home -- we spent every morning with coffee overlooking the beautiful vista of Acadia water and islands, lobster boats and sailboat cruising by. We were visited by baby seals and dolphins almost daily and had one sighting of a a bald eagle. In the evening we would eat outside, making use of the gas grid and cooking lobsters. Lobster steamer pot and propane cooking hot plate were especially appreciated. The location of the property in Acadia cannot be beat -- Southwest Harbor, Northeast Harbor, Bar Harbor and of course lakes, hiking and carriage trails of Acadia all within 30 minutes or less. An added bonus for us was that we were able to tie up our 45' sailboat to the dock --the property has a deep dock and mooring available for guests, This allowed us to do great day sails. We made great use of the two kayaks that are available. Brave souls went swimming of the dock as well. We stayed two weeks and easily could have tacked on another two! It was a family trip we will always remember fondly and hope to recreate again next year. Roger was terrific to work with and gave us some great recommendations for a rainy day -- the Auto Museum is not o be missed, rain or shine! Thank you Roger for sharing your very special home with us. We hope to be back.

This house has space and comfort galore, but its the location that you’ll love best.
This house was a wonderful way to safely enjoy a family vacation this summer! We were a group of extended family from three households with ages ranging from 8-51. The house with its sprawling set-up helped smoothly manage all the various wants and needs of our group. But its serene private location is truly what makes me want to return.
The house is two seamlessly attached accommodations so it offers two kitchens, two sets of washer/dryer, and two fairly private lounge areas in addition to the great room gathering space. And while the bathroom situation is a tad bit unusual, there were plenty of showers and toilets to happily serve our crew. The beds were all freshly dressed in lovely linens and had very comfortable mattresses. Tons of quality towels were provided for kitchen, bathroom, and swimming needs. When we checked in the house came well-stocked with dishwasher tabs, laundry detergent, paper towels, and delicious coffee - all of which were lovely surprises to the many kitchen dry goods to be found. AND THEN there’s the deck - it is an amazing spacious spot to view the gorgeous surrounds. AND the surrounds are simply gorgeous. The pictures on line do not do justice to the beauty of this location.
I think it also bears mentioning that the house itself is a kind of passive form of entertainment: it includes various pieces of beautiful art, interesting memorabilia, informative maps, an extensive library, and an endearing family photo gallery. But truly Acadia was what drew our group to this destination and we were able to do all we wanted from this great Seal Cove base-camp.
The weather was pretty hot when we were there (Aug 18-25 2020) and nine, out of our party of twelve, took the plunge off the floating pier. In fact, the teenage boys did it over and over! The water was cold, just what you’d expect in Maine, but AMAZINGLY clear - something I didn’t expect. There were also kayaks that were enjoyed and the extensive rocky coastline provided lots and lots of scrambling. The wildlife was everywhere to be observed and if you paid close attention you could be surprised now and again.
Thank you to our host, Roger, for not being scared off by seven boys aged 8-19 and two dogs. This place is a gem - Seal Cove Cottage will be a treasured memory for our family for the ages.
P.S.: If everyone could socially distance as our family was able to here, the pandemic would long since have been quelled.

Perfect Place to Socially Distance on the Gorgeous Maine Coast!
Our 2nd summer in a row staying here! Perfect setup for our extended family with a separate attached 'apartment' complete with it's own kitchen deck and bathroom. Close proximity to Bar Harbor (25min) and Southwest Harbor (15 min). Secluded and private with breathtaking views and memorable sunsets over the waters of Seal Cove. Spied some seals, porpoises and even a bald eagle from the enormous deck. There is a dock for fishing with a couple of kayaks to explore the surrounding mini islands and coast. Property owner (Roger) is super friendly and responsive. The weather was gorgeous and we were sad to leave, but look forward to hopefully returning someday soon!

Beautiful place to stay
Our family had a great experience staying at Roger's place. The house is a perfect place to relax- quiet and peaceful. The views from the deck are incredible whatever the time or the weather.
Roger was very generous with his time and advice, even supplying all the implements we needed to make a lobster dinner.
The house itself is great- very clean and comfortable. Accommodated our group of ten with no problem. Definitely recommend a stay at this lovely home.

Mt Desert Island gem
This cabin was in a perfect location- convenient to Acadia National Park, on the water (Bay), yet quiet and relaxing. We hiked, kayaked, canoed, climbed, and cycled our way through a week of vacation and still had time to read and do a puzzle. Well stocked with kitchen supplies, kayaks, and one of the best sunset views around! Was NOT disappointed in any way.

On the shore in Maine
We loved our week in Maine. The house came as advertised. The huge deck overlooking the Ocean was incredible We ate most of our meals in the house and the two kitchens made preparing dinner for 9 much easier. There was so much room to spread out that we never felt crowded. The three kayaks were appreciated and used. Roger was a great host. I can speak for all of our party when I say that it does not get much better than this.

Amazing view from the deck — it was hard to leave!
Sitting on the deck, watching eagles and dolphins, as well as the calm mornings and the spectacular sunsets, was a high point of my family’s vacation. The owner, Roger Noble, was terrific and gave us great advice on walks and restaurants. The house is spread our and informal, perfect for a big family like ours. We can’t wait to go back.

Seal Cove Gem!
This waterfront gem in Seal Cove was wonderful for our family getaway. Our party included 3 adult siblings and their spouses, 2 grandparents and one 10yo along with an older dog. There was ample space for all and the house layout was great for both privacy as well as late night card games and puzzles. The deck is enormous and offers wonderful views of MDI sunsets overlooking the ocean. We saw many birds and even a few seals and harbor porpoise. There is a great dock where we fished for Mackerel and launched kayaks to explore the nearby island and coast. The two kitchens were well stocked and Roger, the owner, was quite helpful with recommendations and answering questions. The grandparents had their own area to escape to for solitude including a separate deck to enjoy their morning coffee. We have stayed in many places on MDI over the last 20 years and must say that this place is awesome and ranks among our favorites. For a larger group, it cant be beat! We look forward to returning in years to come!

Great property for large family gathering
We were 11 and the house had a quiet side for grandparents and other quiet people. The 2 kitchens were well appointed. Also two sets of washer/dryers. Easy access to the floating dock with kayaks. And as many previous posts have mentioned...a huge deck, safe for small kids, with lots of seating. Stunning views!
The property is very convenient to all of the popular destinations on Mt. Desert Island. And yet it is far enough away to be secluded and quiet. We could hear the loons at night.
Our hosts, Roger and Laurie were gracious and kind. They went the extra mile to make our stay happy and enjoyable. If given the opportunity I would definitely return. Georgia G

Spectacular View, Accommodating Host
The view... I can't put into words how gorgeous it was. Tons of towels, linens, kitchenware. They had endless supply of board/card games making evenings entertaining. Roger was chalk full of information on nearby places to go. Two separate living areas made it nice for kids to be on on side with adults on the other. The view. Did I mention the view? The spacious deck? The kayak??? And he has lobster pots so we had fresh lobster one evening. An amazing stay full of memories we will cherish always.

Very peaceful and beautiful setting on Mount Desert island!
There were 11 of us ranging in age from 82 to 5 years old. We loved the setting and the house was comfortable. Plenty of room to spread out and come together, especially on the expansive deck overlooking the ever changing beauty of the water scenery. Many enjoyed kayaking, the dock, exploring the rocky shore and all the adventures in Acadia. We cooked most meals in the kitchens but also repeatedly enjoyed the local culinary delights of Maine lobster, clams, mussels, and popovers. Cadillac mountain summit, Bar Island walk, any trail, thunder hole, shore walks and driving to the end of roads to experience the lobstermen were some of the many favorite activities. Just setting on the deck or dock and watching our children and grandchildren enjoying the natural beauty was my favorite. Thank you Noble Family for sharing your home and property!

Perfect location.
We had a glorious vacation, hiking, biking, kayaking, and exploring. Located on the quiet side of the island, this home was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. Every evening provided some variation of a beautiful sunset viewed from the spacious deck. One morning we were even treated to a fogbow! There were seals, porpoises, and bald eagles discovered while kayaking from the dock. Roger and Laurie were helpful yet unobtrusive hosts. What a great vacation spot! My only complaint: I wish there were more than 2 comfortable chairs on the deck as well as more comfortable seating indoors.

The location and ambience could not have been better. This is the quiet and relaxed part of Acadia National Park. Hiking trails are just nearby. The water, seafood and solitude make the stay memorable. The hosts Roger and Laurie have set up everything one might possibly need for the week. We will go back whenever we can.

Drivable to everywhere on the Island. Also, the picture of the deck does not do that deck justice. We spent every waking minute at the house on that thing.
