Our group had an excellent stay in cabin 7! The location was perfect for us and exceeded our expectations with being close to the lake and Trumansburg. The cabin was clean and comfortable. We’d love to stay here again when we return to the area!

Our family rented two units, and just had the best time. Everything was very clean, and we appreciated not having to pack our pack-n-play. The cabin was quite spacious and we all had plenty of space to stretch out. It was incredibly quiet at night, and one night we stayed up late we listed to an owl hooting nearby.
The hosts were great, super-sweet, and we appreciated that we didn't have to bring paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap and lots of other supplies. They even have a building were we could help ourselves when ran out. (With little kiddos, we use a lot of paper towels!)
The kids and grown ups love the water and we even had a campfire one night directly on the beach. It was a fantastic visit!

Not what we were expecting
The landscape, access to the lake, road in and out were all terrible.

Community Camping Cabins
Over all experience was nice...quite during the week nights, enjoyed wood fires right outside cabin, kayaking was fun. Bed downstairs in cabin # 7...needs to be replaced most definitely. Items in gazebo...ty.

Gravel lot
The cabin was quite basic, and basically fine. But the site, while touching the lake, was essentially a hillside gravel lot with cabins on the lower and middle part of the slope, and trailers on the upper part. Our cabin was the highest one, abutting the trailer community. The cabins' decks and grills mostly faced each other. Around the lot, besides cabins and trailers, were heaps of construction materials and old cardboard boxes. We thought woodsy, country getaway. We didn't get it.

Charming glamping cabin on lake Cayuga
Our family and pup had a wonderful stay at the spotted sandpiper. Quiet, relaxing property with an easy walk to the dock for fishing and kayaking. Our cabin had all of the essentials to cook our own meals, a grill, pots/pans, mini fridge, etc. The cabin’s inside was very clean and comfortable. And the towels....they were amazing...luxurious touch! We wish the covid quarantine could have allowed us to adventure to more of what the region has to offer but we were within 5-10 mins of taughannock falls and a handful of breweries and wineries. Our kids had a blast fishing off of the dock and there were more than enough kayaks for us and the other guests to share. Wi-Fi was a bit spotty indoors if you play on doing any work but we wanted family time in the great outdoors. Great stay, and hosts were Very helpful and accommodating! We will be back!

Perfect weekend
Kate and Jordan really were amazing hosts. The cabin was perfect for what we needed. It was cute, cozy, clean and the beds were comfy. The lake was gorgeous and the dock had a picnic table and a hammock that was perfect for hanging out. Our grills out front and our fire pit were another highlight of our weekend. The whole weekend we couldn't stop saying how we'd stay here again. Thank you Kate and Jordan for having us.
We'll definitely be back!

Great Little Cabin by Lake
The house was perfect for our needs. We swam in the lake every day and rode bikes around quiet Trumansburg. A/C was a necessity and worked well. Kitchen well stocked. Owner VERY responsive even going out of her way to return an item I forgot.

Work In Progress
This is an old rustic rentals property which is apparently in new ownership. The wet spring has undoubtedly made their work harder. The roads, the internet access, the taped on air conditioner plug (yikes), the old mattresses, the shower head- some big to little things that still need work. The recently stained log cabin with new knotty pine interior shows an update idea without sacrificing the rustic character. Firepit, cable, plenty of large thick cozy towels, nice pillows and cozy covers. Best of all a short walk down the drive will lead to stairs to the dock to beautiful Lake Cayagu.
