About this house rental
Contemporary 7 bedroom house with spectacular oceanviews. Just 75 feet away from the famous Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk and Beach. 3 Outdoor decks, including a rooftop deck that offers a 360 degree views of Rehoboth Beach, DE. First floor features Double Living room with 3 sofas and additional chairs, Large flat screen TV, Double Dining room that seats up to 20, and full kitchen, the open floor plan offers a great place for everyone to spend time together. Access to front patio, a great place relax and enjoy your morning coffee, you'll be the envy of everyone. No need to rush here, the Beach is just steps away. The ground floor also features a Slate patio with built in gas grill and hot tub added in 2011. Guests can't wait to return year after year as this property in constantly upgraded for the ultimate Rehoboth Beach vacation.

Our extended family group (ages 26-91) had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. Close proximity to beach, nice hot tub that was extremely clean. Plenty of room and spaces for everyone. Outstanding communication with property manager David before check in. He was extremely helpful and kept close touch and followup during a region-wide power outage as well. Highly recommend this property!

We had a wonderful time and the house was absolutely perfect for us.
The house was just as described, clean and so spacious. The convenience to the boardwalk was so convenient to be able to walk to the shops and restaurants. We hope we can come back again!

We all fly to Rehoboth or Bethany every other year to have all the kids and grandkids together for a week. This year almost didn't happen, but David saved the day! He is just the best manager of a home, so attentive and understanding! The house was immaculate. The Spa outside was new. And the teens were so busy I think they enjoyed the spa only once!!! The boardwalk is literally steps away, and very very safe. Now, how to fit all those stuffed animals they won at the arcades in suitcases... Thank you, David!

Worked well for our group of 10. My mom (age 87) could handle the 4 steps into the house and 1 step up to the kitchen and found the queen 1st floor master perfect. Adult kids worked upstairs in the 2nd family room one day, and we all enjoyed the proximity to the boardwalk.

This property is even better than the online listing! Only two bedrooms have to share a bathroom, everyone else has their own. The property was super clean, so convenient to the downtown shops and restaurant. The beach was super close! We visited in the off season, so parking was free and a breeze. David was quick to answer all questions! Would definitely reccomend!

The house is beautiful, thoughtfully laid out, with a well-stocked kitchen and plenty of space for a large group. We particularly appreciated the two large common areas and the multiple decks that allowed us to spread out when we needed some quiet time and congregate when playing games/socializing. You couldn't ask for a better location in Rehoboth. The house is next to the beach/boardwalk and within a 5 mins walk to shops/restaurants but on a quiet street. David was an amazing host - kind, thoughtful and super responsive to all our questions/requests. We will be back again for sure!

Stayed with a group of friends, and we like to park the cars and walk to beach, restaurants, and shops and this was perfect. Beautiful ocean view, multiple indoor and outdoor hang out areas - really wonderful.

Great, large house with excellent location. Enjoyed the ocean views from decks. Very clean. Almost no paper products though like paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags so be sure to bring own. Would definitely stay again particularly with large group.

This is an annual beach getaway for a group of lively senior ladies. The location was perfect, just one house off of the beach and a short walk to Rehobeth Blvd.The house was comfortably appointed and clean. The huge family gathering room on the second floor was great for evening karaoke fun! The oven did not operate and the hot tub had some issues, but David was and always has been super responsive and patient with our group. Neither could be repaired or replaced during our visit. We understood and made other arrangements for cooking in a smaller toaster oven that was available. We usually stay at another place David manages which was more recently renovated and has an in ground pool but decided to take this house this year because of the great location. Everyone agreed that it was a good decision despite the issues we had with the hot tub and oven. We understand that when things wear out they are difficult to replace during peak season and when the house is occupied. Our week in October was beautiful weather and was more affordable than our previous rental.

The house is a fantastic location steps away from the beach and a 5 min walk to the main avenue. Quiet spot, comfortable house, multiple decks for relaxing and plenty of seating inside. Two large refrigerators for plenty of storage and two dining tables. Outdoor shower, grill, hot tub. It’s a perfect house for a big group. WiFi was strong and a couple of us were able to work during our visit. Property manager was friendly and very helpful. You’ll need to order your sheets/towels from the recommended company or bring your own. Ordering was reasonably priced and easy. Additionally don’t forget to bring some TP, paper towels and trash bags :)

The house sounded great in the listing but was even better than we expected. The location is perfect -- a house away from the boardwalk and ocean, a short walk to the left on the boardwalk takes you to restaurants and shops, a short walk to the right takes you to open dunes. We were having our biannual family reunion and the house has great space for "hanging out". The kitchen is fully equipped with quality products. The biggest surprise was the amazing art work and decorations through out the house. The owner has amazing taste!

We loved the location and highly recommend for a large group. Second floor is updated and fabulous. First floor is a little tired. While there are two large first floor bedrooms it was not handicap accessible and challenging to some of our group. We will look for an elevator next time!

This was our second year staying at 1 Hickman and we plan to vacation here again next year. The house is perfect for our family of 6 adults and 4 children. The hot tub and close proximity to the beach and boardwalk are a huge plus.

The house was perfect for our family of 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation Rehoboth beach vacationers. The 2 living rooms were great for “adult” space and “kid” space 😊. With 15 of us, the 2 refrigerators were appreciated. The views have to be one of the best In Rehoboth. And David was wonderful to work with.

The neighborhood felt very safe and quiet.
You do have to bring your own sheet for the beds, as well as beach chairs.

The house and location was amazing. There was plenty of room for the group to sleep and relax. The owner allpwed us to check in early to set up for our guest and deliveried a new grill tonis because the one on the property was broken when we tried to use it. A+, 5 Stars , and 10s across the board!

The property is beautiful and very well located being right by the beach. David, the property manager, was easy to get a hold of and very accommodating. The house though can use some repair and upgrade (e.g. one of the door knobs was almost falling off, the pots and pans are in a rough shape, the whirlpool jets were not all functional, etc) . Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the place.

1 Hickman was the perfect venue for 7 of my teammates from high school to reunite for a weekend getaway after 41 years! The house provided comfortable space for everyone to gather, share memories, laughter and reconnect. The proximity to beach, boardwalk and restaurants was perfect. We are headed back next year!

This property reflects location, location, location and that is just its first asset. We were a generational group and the house was perfect for each of us. It is well designed with seating for one and all whether inside or outside--and seating even available on the rooftop deck! Add to that the ocean views and it becomes difficult to leave this house and take
advantage of all the Rehoboth and nearby environs have to offer. Add to this, while on the deck one day a walker engaged in conversation allowed as how their group had an amazing stay there and wondered if a room might still be available! The house sells itself.

Our family of 6 adults and 4 children enjoyed a wonderful stay at 1 Hickman. Property highlights included the hot tub, outdoor shower, close proximity to the beach and boardwalk, rooftop deck, washer/dryer, two refrigerators, well stocked kitchen. The 7 bedrooms , upstairs living room, and outside decks provided ample privacy for both the children and adults. We all enjoyed our stay in Rehoboth.

House was large, well equipped and the location was amazing -- one house from the boardwalk. Every bedroom except two had their own attached bathrooms. Loved the rooftop seating and views, second floor deck with another great beach view, and a private deck off the master suite for a private escape.
