Overall a great stay for our large extended family. Roomy and really enjoyed the pool table on the main floor.

The choice of a site for us to gather family to celebrate our anniversary hinged on two factors, plenty of bedrooms and a New York State Finger Lake. This gorgeous home provides both. Our family gathered from Seattle, Illinois, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. The kitchen is well appointed with appliances, plates and cutlery. The dining room table comfortably accommodated 10 of us.Sparkling chandeliers in the dining room and entryway added charm and warmth. Plenty of seating is on the lovely porch, living room, game room and backyard fire pit. There are several choices of water craft across the road at the dock and boat lift to provide hours of fun. And the quaint and historic village of nearby Auburn provides several opportunities for shopping, dining and entertainment. On the card presented to us by our oldest son were these words, "Remember this place for your 70th anniversary celebration!

The house was large, charming, well kept and clean.

We had a wonderful stay! We had everything we needed including a gas grill to make our burgers and hot dogs for Memorial Day weekend. The kitchen was fully stocked.
We enjoyed staying in this older, but well maintained home. The view from the front porch was the icing on the cake!

This was probably the best VRBO house / rental I've ever stayed in. The owner was communicative and responsive. With five bedrooms, there was plenty of places to sleep. The house literally was a home away from home, with every amenity, household items and comforts of home one could think of. The lake area access across the street was very easy to get to and lovely - we enjoyed using the kayak and the paddle boat. I can only imagine the fun guests would have in the summer (we stayed in April). The teenagers enjoyed the pool table and the comfortable couches in the TV, which included cable TV and had a Roku where you could easily sign into whatever streaming services you subscribe to. There were also plenty of games on the game shelves. The kitchen was fully stocked with utensils, dishes, pots, pans, cookware, etc. Two refrigerators for guest use made for plenty of cold storage. Full size washer and dryer easily available. And last, but certainly not least is the front porch, with plenty of outdoor seating, including a table and chairs, that overlooks the lake. It was perfectly suited for sipping a warm mug of tea in the morning, watching the sunrise. I would recommend this home 10/10.

From the moment we turned into the driveway until it was time to leave, we felt right at home in this beautiful house. It was lit with holiday cheer, warm and welcoming when we first arrived. Upon entering we were impressed with its old farmhouse charm. The back entry area was spacious and made it easy to unload everything from the car.
The updated kitchen is well-appointed; we had everything we needed. Plenty of cooking equipment, dishes, etc. Two refrigerators made it easy for us to store everything we brought for a 5-day stay that included Christmas dinner.
Each bedroom was spacious and comfortable. The living area was also spacious and comfortable. The pool table was a nice surprise, and got a lot of use. The updated bathrooms were great; the master en suite bathroom will be updated, but was fine as is. We loved the master as a whole, with the separate dressing room in between the bedroom and the bath. The view of the lake from the bedroom just added more to the charm.
Amy, the owner, was fantastic to work with although we really didn't need anything from her, as she thought of everything ahead of time and was generous in her provision of all that is needed for a comfortable stay. What was missing? Snow for a white Christmas, nothing more!
Thank you, Amy; we will be back!

This was an amazing opportunity for a family gathering from NC, SC, and NY. The home was perfect, and I do mean perfect. There was room enough for all, with several areas to just "chillax". The hosts were super communicative and attentive to every detail. My family will return in 2024!

Was able to find a home that could accommodate our 7 adults, one child and a dog that was in a great location along Owasco Lake and just two miles from our relatives home. Everyone enjoyed their stay. The house was well equipped and stocked with all the necessities. Many other amenities were available that would be great for a stay in more warmer weather and we will certainly consider this rental when we visit in the summertime. Great location for day trips throughout the Finger Lakes region!

Pros: Large house was very clean, plenty of linens and towels, close to wineries and stores, equipped with numerous games for both young and adult, Bluetooth speaker, great WiFi, VERY well stocked, plenty of paper goods, nice pool table with all the balls and cue stick, kitchen very well equipped with coffee pots, pots, pans glassware etc.,two refrigerators, ceiling fans, large porch, view of the lake from the porch is SPECTACULAR, impressive collection of lawn toys to play with.
Cons: Only one TV, locking mechanism on front door was too high for most people to reach, front door knobs very old and hard to turn, no Ring doorbell or smart locks or any sort of security camera type of door bells/lock on either front or back doors, entry can only be made using a key, doors could use touch up paint and hardware, hallway entry’s paint was peeling terribly. Very unsightly, Dining room chairs were mix matched, walls had terrible water stains, Billiard room ceiling showed previous leak damage. On the second day of arrival the ceiling started to leak. Owners quickly responded to our call and had a plumber come out. He arrived within 30 minutes. My husband stayed behind and was not able to join us on our winery tour. My husband stated that the plumber asked that we not use the bathroom until the next day which was Sunday. Sunday evening a family member used the upstairs shower and it leaked again. So we decided not to use the upstairs bathroom. This proved to be an inconvenience as there were 8 adults now using one bathroom to shower in. The other upstairs bathroom had a tub but no shower and my family and friends did not wish to use the tub. After the plumber left on Saturday a man arrived in a pickup truck accompanied by two huge dogs. My dog and I were playing and did not see the dogs until they started barking. I quickly got a hold of my dog and went inside. Later, the same man entered the home started playing with the light switches and left. Maybe the owners sent him. In either case we should have been informed that he would be arriving. The wall paper in the Master Suite was peeling in areas. I would not recommend renting this home unless the owners could show that the necessary plumbing repairs and water stain removal have been made.

The house has everything that we needed. Lots of space and the front porch was the center point of our stay. The coolest spot in the heat. Easy access to the lake. Dock area was great. Plenty of room to sit and the lake depth made it accessible to all ages. A perfect place to cool off when it was hot. Convenient location to local activities and attractions. We had a great week.

Loved it. Not perfect but really great for an older house. The owners have put a lot of work into it, and it served our group of 9 well. Our family had another rental house and this one easily accommodated a couple of gatherings of all 23 of us. Loved the large front deck. Lots of nice amenities included. I'd go back.

Our family had a great time at this amazing vacation rental. Easy lake access just across the road, gorgeous wide front porch and a stunning foyer with a sweeping staircase are just some of the offerings of this place. It was the perfect location to unwind and enjoy quality family time.

The property met the needs of a large fishing group. There is plenty of parking for trucks and boat trailers. The kitchen and dining room offer plenty of space. The front porch is an excellent gathering spot. Two of the bathrooms have been recently remodeled and are nicely done. Looking forward to staying again next year!

Let’s start with the positives — tons of room for my family, parking for many cars, excellent communication with owners, access to the lake, and a pool table!
But the negatives pull it down. Horrible musty odors in the kitchen area (which we determined were coming from the basement), a leaky bathroom ceiling (rain related, and the owners say it will be addressed), dead bugs in every window sill, many windows with broken panes, peeling wallpaper in the en suite bath, a super quirky oven that was very hard to use (thank goodness we had rented a second house nearby). There was also a broken TV (had a sign on it, so they know it’s broken. Why not just take it away?). The front porch, which we were so attracted to in the listing, had not been swept in some time (TONS of leaves, dead bugs and even some animal scat). It adds to up a less-than-stellar impression.
This property is a few projects away from being the most amazing house on the lake. I really hope the owners will continue to polish this incredible gem they have and make it the spectacular rental it could be. I will watch the reviews going forward and we may try this again someday. The area is lovely!

We were 10 adults ranging in age from 60 to 75. Five brothers plus spouses. It was a perfect place to relax and remember while enjoying the lake view. Each couple had our own bedroom and we enjoyed family meals around the dining table and conversations in the sitting room.

This property was large enough to sleep all 12 individuals that were there for a wedding. The location and views are wonderful! We thoroughly enjoyed staying here!

We were delighted to stay at this property. There was plenty of room for our family of 13. Loved the front porch and lake access. Rooms were clean and tidy, plenty of towels. Only obstacle was there was not a crib available.

Only one thing I wished was different - the speed limit with the road in front. Sometimes the traffic seemed to be very fast. Other than that the house was absolutely amazing and so beautiful. The yard was much bigger than I thought. We had lots of outdoor games that were played. There was a fire area which we used a couple of times. The lake itself was great - there were not a lot of people on it which was fantastic for us. The front porch was so big all of us could have had a place to sit (we had a group of 14). Everything was fully stocked - didn't need anything. The owner, Amy, was there when we first arrived which was nice to meet her.. Definitely would recommend the house to anyone.

It's such a cool old house! The only reason I didn't give this property a 5 rating is because it is in need of some maintenance (mostly cosmetic) and only two bedrooms have A/C ... a couple nights were hot! (in June).

Pleasant, historical home, well stocked

This was a lovely stay. The home is opulent and comfortable, which is a rare balance. We lacked for nothing, as the owners provided everything we could need, and things we were delighted to find! There are many cozy nooks to enjoy the view of the lake and just steal away to relax. Our family of 6 had room to spread out and also plenty of space to all gather. The dock, the two kayaks and the canoe provided hours of enjoyment for our water-loving family. The yard is fantastic, the porch is a sweet haven, and the billiard table was perfect for late night competition! We were absolutely delighted with our stay and hope to return next year!

We had a group of 10 friends. Plenty of bedrooms and full baths. Kitchen was set up for everything. We were want for nothing. The temperatures dipped into the mid-30's and the house was warm and comfy. The lake was so relaxing to kayak. Everyone had a great time.
