This is a privately owned, beach-front apartment, which is housed in the ESJ Towers Hotel. The principal amenity is that you have private access to the beach. You also have access to numerous hotel amenities,including the fitness center, the coffee shop, the game rooms and the laundry. However, the pool is currently under repair. This beachfront condo-hotel studio at ESJ Towers Hotel is centrally located on San Juan's best beach, Isla Verde Beach, only a 3-minute drive from San Juan International Airport. It features the amenities of a hotel combined with the convenience of a fully equipped spacious studio apartment. Please, no dogs or cats.

The location was great, super easy to walk to the grocery store or places to eat. The beach was easy to access and wonderful to both swim and lay out at. The unit was super clean and the perfect size for what we needed. The balcony was super pretty as well. Overall, had an amazing experience at ESJ Towers!

Staying at this room at the ESJ Towers was great. Everything from the shower to the kitchen was immaculately clean. (I know because I lost a pin to my watch and had to crawl around on the floor to find it!) The air conditioning was top-notch -- which was important because it was 90+ degrees just about every day. From the very beginning, the owners provided everything I needed and needed to know plenty of time before my vacation started.
The location of the ESJ Towers is perfect. Literally just a just a few steps from a nice quiet beach -- not too crowded and it felt quite safe. The water was a perfect temperature and jumping in the water was a wonderful relief after getting just the right amount of sun.
There are plenty of stores and restaurants (local places and some big chains) within walking distance - even a 24-hour market. Just about everything else is a short Uber away!
If you're thinking about renting this place -- do it! It's the perfect combination of staying in a big-time hotel and renting someone's home. Five giant starts and big thank-you for this place!

Easy access to the beach, great view, clean room, a handful of restaurants within walking distance, and a supermarket is a 15 min walk away. For the most authentic Puerto Rican dishes, I recommend driving 15 min (lots of traffic) to the neighborhood of the New Reef. The new reef area is a lively scene and has a strip of local eatery's.

I have family in P.R but I need to some work done while visiting. The view was fantastic. I was able to get all my work done before time. The staff was very friendly. I will definitely stay here again. Will recommend it to my friends and colleagues.

The host was absolutely wonderful and communicating and checking on us throughout our entire stay I will say however the hotel is in bad need of repairs the pool isn't available everything is dirty the game room most of the games don't work there's a bar and a restaurant and a cafe advertised just being located on the site of the property none of these things exist or are open again the property manager was wonderful but when I come back I will not stay here again I can find similar accommodations with a pool and a spot etc for roughly the same price point

Loved, loved, loved this property! Very comfortable studio apt that could accommodate at least 4 people. Everything you need is at your disposal. Full kitchenette. We made our own breakfast every morning, which we ate on the balconey with a spectacular view of the beach/ocean on one side and airport on the other side. My daughter and I would sit on the balcony at all times often and would watch planes of all sizes landing and taking off. Distance to and from the airport in less than 5 minutes. Restaurants, supermarket and lots of fun places to explore. The beach, steps away with private access. The owner, Mr Kaufman was in contact with me before, during and to the end of our stay. Any questions or concern he was just a text or phone call away. There is some remodeling construction going on but only during the day and to honest, I didn't even hear them and it didn't stop us from enjoying our stay there. Thank you Lionel, hope to be back again some day.

Great location!
We loved the location of the place. Close to rental car places and right on the beach. Easy to access the highway to go other places like the ferry for Culebra or the rainforest.
If there was anything I'd change I would have liked a couple more towels and a couple extra blankets. We stayed 9 nights and there were 3 of us with one towel each. So we had to do laundry halfway through the stay and it was expensive. The blankets on the bed are very thin and would have liked a extra. But besides that it was perfect!!

The hosts communicated with us through out the trip. They were very helpful and accommodating. The room has a beautiful view of the ocean which we enjoyed. The hosts provided beach chairs and a cooler which were very appreciated for our time in the beach. Overall, great hosts

Our stay at Lionel and Sally’s place was incredible. The 15th floor studio apartment has a great balcony view of the beach which you have access to directly, as once you book you are a guest of the hotel. Meaning, you have access to the hotels game room, fitness center, bar and lounge area, jacuzzi, pool, beaches and more.
The room was spotless and house keeping was ready to come in and clean once our stay was over. Lionel and Sally are flexible with a late checkout, should that be something you’re interested in if you have an evening flight. The hotel will store your luggage once you’re checked out if you still want to get in the beach or pool or even checkout the neighborhood one last time.
The studio is a fully furnished apartment, which means you have access to the kitchen, should cooking be an option for you. Lionel and Sally also provide a cooler and 4 beach chairs to bring onto the beach, which made my boyfriend and I’s day! Nice clean towels and a bar of soap are provided as well. Be sure to bring your own toiletries.
CVS and Pueblo Supermarket, which are about a 5 minute walk from your room, are open 24/7. Alambique Beach Lounge (more of a drink and dine experience) and Los Gorditos restaurant (more of a tropical high quality fast food place) have great food and are within walking distance. El San Juan Hotel which is approximately 100 feet away (literally right next door), offers free live music nightly as well.
Location is a selling point as the moment you exit the airport, you’re a $7 Uber ride and 7 minutes away from your hotel. Clean apartment, great and attentive hosts, access to all hotel amenities, seamless check-In and checkout at the hotels front desk, and safe location to walk around during the day and evening is a plus. Excellent Stay - But
The property itself was great. Communication with the property owner was not lacking in any way. The view was pleasant. The hotel itself had exceptional amenities.
So why did I say "But" here's the reason why. This would have been a perfect experience; however, I feel that some attention should be given to the interior of the unit. Updating the unit itself would make the stay more pleasant. Please be aware that there is quite a bit of humidity in Puerto Rico and it takes a toll in the unit smelling musky.
I would still recommend this unit and owner as I had a wonderful experience.

We loved Puerto Rico, our location and the facility but we were disappointed with the room.
The facility was very nice with the pool and access to the beach. It was also nice to have parking provided. The owner was easy to communicate with and always responded.
The room needed some tender loving care! It needs to be updated and thoroughly cleaned. The floor was very sticky and dirty; the toaster only worked if you held it down; the refrigerator shelves were not clean-everything I put on the shelves stuck there. We were very disappointed with the lack of cleanliness.

Excellent place to stay!!!
First I’d like to thank Mr. Lionel Kaufman for his outstanding attention to my needs and for being such a great host. Clear and precise instructions regarding arrival, checkin and the apartment amenities. The apartment is exactly as described and it is fully equipped with everything you need to have a pleasant stay. All you need to buy is food and drinks in the event you want to prepare your own meals.
Since the balcony of the unit is located on the east side, there’s a very nice kool breeze that comes in which is more than enough to keep the A/C off.
The ESJ lobby has been renovated and it looks wonderful. Access to the beach and pool is just steps away.
I highly recommend staying at Lionel’s place. You won’t be disappointed.

Much better than a hotel with all the amenities bar in the lobby with game room . The apartment had everything you needed even xtra pillows a cooler even aloe spray which came in handy . Amazing views..
5 star choice for me is easy. The location is walking distance to stores and restaurants. The beach is literally tour back yard. The view from the room will take tour breath away. The proximity to the airport. The furnishings they supply for you. The air conditioning worked superb. I was cold at times. The balcony with seating is a great addition. The hotels pool is nice. The bar downstairs is friendly as well as the staff. You can book tourist tours from the lobby. I could go on. But go see for yourself...

First Mr. Lionel's has been extremely accomodating during my entire stay. He has been very responsive and thru various means of communication he has been on top of things making sure everything is fine. His apartmnet is all I wished for during my recent mission trip for the animals at save a sato in Puerto Rico. The apartment itself is properly appointed with comfy beds, great air conditioning system, hot water and kitchen. The apartment sits just 10 minutes from the airport with a great view of the Carolina Beach and the entire airport is visible too. It is awesome. The place is clean and has cable tv and wifi. The property itself is located beach front with a beautiful pool/bar. The Lobby of the building has been upgraded and in the weekend there was even life entertainment. I LOVE this place and I will look for this option first next time I come back.

The apartment was super clean and fully equipped. The balcony has a beautiful view to the water, which was perfect for me to sit and have my morning coffee as I meditate. The room / studio is comfortable with 2 beds. The property has a beautiful pool and a beach, you are steps away from the beach. In addition the location is convenient with near by restaurants and supermarket. The host Mr. Lionel was very nice, he answered all my questions during my stay, and was always available. I contacted Lionel and within 30 minutes, he called me back. It was New Year's Day; really late. I can't say enough about Lionel. He showed interest in everything we talked about and even though he himself was on vacation, he took the time to speak with me about his unit. Within no time. I booked our room.
We've stayed at ESJ in the past but the remolding that was done looks really good. Our room was clean and we loved our view.
The room was comfortable and everything worked just fine. Lionel checked on us to make sure we checked in okay and he was available by phone on the day we checked out to make everything went well.
We would recommend anyone to come and stay at Lionel's unit. If you want a really nice room for a good price in a prime spot of Puerto Rico, this is the right place. The room is located on the airport side however, you still get a really nice view of the beach and the noise from the planes will not be a problem because the door shuts tightly.
You'll be tretated with respect by Lionel which is very important to us. Also, nothing like easy access to the beach or a pool with plenty to do in the area and minutes from the airport. If you rent a car, the parking is included and safe. Only guests, owners and staff of the ESJ Azul can come into the property.

I'm a time-share member, but last minute trip, I was fortunate to find Lionel to my rescue. When visiting Puerto , ESJ, for many years has been my #1 choice. The ESJ is located within multiple advantages, such as that of 5 minute from airport, taxis, seconds from public transportation to Old San Juan- Condado- airport- Rio Piedras- Carolina-Pinones-Loiza- Santurce- Train stations (.75). Close to casinos, eateries - fast foods- tropical sit down restaurants - well known restaurants, supermarket, post office, Walgreens, car rental, etc... ESJ has a fabulous pool, private entry to beach, excellent bar and entertainment, mini market, restaurant, parking, laundry, game room, free Wi-Fi spots. All staff Hospitality is highly rated. Cleanliness of units and public areas superb.
