Very nice place to stay. The room was comfortable and clean. The hostel is well located and you can reach many places by walking. The stuff was helpful and very friendly.
The hostel offers different meals which are really tasty.
I can only recommend!

Breakfast was delicious each morning with no hassles. As a solo traveller, I felt safe and very comfortable here. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. Great WiFi access all across the property. I will definitely stay here again.

Arusha has many youth hostels, but a lot of them are in inconvenient and difficult-to-find locations. It's not entirely safe to walk around Arusha after dark, so that can be a problem. Green Garden is in a fantastically central location, but still on a quiet, green side street where you don't hear the city's loud traffic at all. And the grounds of the hostel are really beautiful.
The food is over-rated. The dinner option the night I stayed was one small piece of chicken with rice and some vegetables for 20,000 shillings. I have definitely eaten better for less in Tanzania.

Very good value compared to other Arusha options. Nice bar / restaurant area. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Location is 10 min walk from clocktower.

I so much loved this place! I stayed in a more crowded area of Arusha before and was searching for a quite and peaceful place afterwards and thats what i definetly found here:) When i arrived i was even served with a welcome drink, this never happened to me in another hostel in Tanzania!
The big garden ist amazing and so is the breakfast. The owner is very nice and very helpful. Also the hostel ist still in walking distance to the center

I honestly don't know how this place doesn't have higher ratings! For what you're getting the value of this place is exceptional. My boyfriend and I stayed in one of the petite suites and it was the best room we've had in Tanzania yet. The place is like a garden oasis - lots of greenery and plants, big open spaces to lounge, a small bar, comfortable facilities. Very laid back atmosphere; the perfect place to relax after a long day exploring or a safari. Walking distance to town and major attractions. The included breakfast consisted of a variety of fruits and eggs cooked your way with toast, and of course all the fixings. They have peanut butter! What really shines here is the staff though. They were always super welcoming and friendly, big smiles on their faces. You can do laundry at the price you name and they did an incredible job. They also cook for you on request! Just tell them what you want and the price is always reasonable.
The room we stayed in for night 1 was a little dark and musty, and the bathroom had a bad smell. However they didn't hesitate to change our room when we asked, which was much better - big, more modern bathroom and a really cool ceiling!

It is the most difficult review I have written so far . The first few days staying there everything was great and I could give 10 out of 10. Clean , quiet, peaceful, good breakfast, good value for money and good location . They even gave me a free ride from the bus terminal which I highly appreciate . I went to a safari for a few days and once I got back, they actually forgot about my booking but still managed to give me a bed in a dorm, where the real disaster happened. At 1 o’clock at midnight while sleeping, a woman who herself was not even staying in the hostel came to the room , woke me up shouting at me that I have to leave. She shouted, insulted , harrased me and literally scared me to death. Apparently there was a misunderstanding but the problem was that the reaction of the owner to protect me as a guest was extremely slow and gentle (because that woman made a huge booking for a lot of students and was bringing good money to the hostel) the owner couldn’t provide any kind of security or safety or good feeling at that moment. That aggressive woman was shouting till three o’clock in the property and I could sleep just two hours because I was scared and felt horrible. The next morning I packed and left. The interesting part: the owner didn’t even think of charging me less for that horrible scary night as an apology and charged me completely for two hours of sleep ! I have never experienced this before and I have never felt this unsafe and scared at night in a hostel
mainly explained above… but shortly : they failed miserably in giving me security feeling as a guest sleeping in a room , when a stranger can get in and starts harassing me exactly next to the owner’s presence! and that in the middle of the night ! that person was not even allowed to get on the room, let alone harassing me and shouting at me . they should really work on their problem solving and crisis management and security. As this all happened because of them forgetting about a booking, I believe they should work on their management as well . If it was not because of the good days in the beginning they would have deserved 1 out of 10

Nice hostel in a good location - easy walking distance to the town center and bus stand.
In a quiet, safe neighbourhood with some good restraunts and a bank with ATM (No charges on foreighn bank cards) at the end of the road.

The staff is really nice and helpful with everything
The breakfast Evey morning was very good
Very good price for a dormitory
Wi fi is good enough when it's working (mostly)
Hot shower was sometimes working
A few little things
1:the location on the map is wrong it's about 150 m down the street and there is absolutely no Singh of the hostel so it's hard to find
2. it's about 3 km from the center so quiet a distance
3. The door on the toilet is extremely hard to close and the second toilet doesn't even have a door
4.2
I was here when they were finishing things up there and it was still amazing. A really nice place for a really good price, the owner is really nice and helpful with anything you need, the rooms are really comfortable they have coffee and tea a whole day and breakfast in the morning included

The people working at this hostel were very nice, and tried to be helpful despite the little information they had.
The hostel is very far from town, I booked rooms thinking we would be downtown and we were in a very isolated area. No access to public transportation or shops nearby, and almost no transport by the hostel (despite their promises to do so). The information regarding the payment was not clear, which got us confused as to whether we were paying online or not, the people working there couldn't help us and the owner started chasing us, claiming he would call the police.
Overall a bad and stressful experience, I would recommend booking a hostel in another part of the city (like south or east), cause there is nothing going on there and it's very difficult to access.
Also, there is no view of the Meru from the hostel itself and the animals from the farm just next to it are crying the whole night.

Nothing
Suppose to be in the city, but is in the middle of nowhere...

Simple but nice breakfast, everyone was nice and open to give suggestions
