Pleasant

Really good location. Beach, amusements and main street within walking distance. Car park right beside the apartments for €3 per day.

I wasn't aware I didn't have a view. Some apartments have sea view and a balcony.

The location was great. Central to almost everything which was handy with small children.

The apartment is fine, it could just use a bit of an updating. It was clean but it still felt dirty if that makes sense. It's very worn and tatty but done the job.

No hairdryer in apartment , no blackout blinds on window so alot of light coming in.

Great apartment, great location

Location was great. Perfect for families with small children. Reasonably priced and would return again.

mattress in main bedroom was springy and uncomfortable, but for a small 2 night stay was ok.

Disappointing

Location was good - close to everything, although noise from carnival is audible until 10ish each night but that's to be expected. Very easy check in and parking close by. Staff were great when we complained about the noise.

Apartment is in need of TLC; kitchen is very old & dated / mouldy smell and spots in some cupboards and doors hanging together. Cooker is conventional cooker so takes long time to cook anything. Hob is okay. There is no dishwasher although dishwasher tablets were provided. 1 bin bag for the entire stay, luckily we had our own with us. Heaters are not great. Shower was good but again bathroom needs updating. Bedrooms don't have blinds only curtains which in the summer isn't ideal, it's so bright. Noisy neighbours. Overall wouldn't stay again.

No.9 very disappointing

No.9 Marine Court Ground Floor Apartment No WiFi and no dongle though it was pre booked ,tv barely worked it was small and very old and only had rte and virgin channels which were very poor quality .No parking though lots of spaces in car park .Every thing in apartment was sadly dated unsafe socket in one bedroom,no outdoor area. Portbeg staff tried to help but they only managed the apartment. View in front was an enclosed car park at back was a hotel backyard with bins and large lorries making deliveries

The location was central to everywhere the apartment was clean and had everything I needed for my stay .

When I booked on booking.com I was not informed of a expensive security deposit the management of the apartment informed me 1 week before my stay that a 350 pound security deposit was required it should be stated on booking.com when paying for the stay .

Superb

It was a great place to stay. Very central. The only bad thing was the checking out at 10am on a Sunday morning. Could not go out on Saturday night as we have to be up very early to get ready to leave at 10am Sunday morning.

Great stay

The location was superb! Right opposite the funfair, beach and waterworld which was great for tired kids legs. The main strip was a very short walk around the corner to all the bars and shops. The staff were very helpful and accomadating us with our slightly earlier check out. We cannot wait to return.

perfect location but don’t expect comfort

it was an excellent location right on the beach front and within walking distance to everything

the beds were extremely uncomfortable, there weren’t enough comfort seats for 5 people and the tv was the smallest tv in Ireland with hardly any channels. there was also no internet.

Old dingy and DO NOT BOOK!!!

Beds very comfortable and apartment very warm. Location was good also.

Dingy, dingy, dingy!!! Photos on booking.com of the apartment we stayed in were NOT ACCURATE!! In fact none of them were our apartment. If I had realised this I would not have booked it. The whole apartment am sure was lovely in it's day but as it stands not the whole place needs a serious face-lift! Found someone's underwear behind the radiator which definitely made me think twice about the cleanliness! There's water stains on the ceilings, the shower was either scalding hot or freezing. We had one cereal bowl. Rang the property about the shower and told the representative that called to the apartment about the faults, fell on deaf ears, nothing was done. Since I returned I emailed them and they have disputed all the faults even though I attached photos etc. Have phoned twice since returning to speak to someone and nobody is available to speak to me!!! Very poor customer service.
