Had a wonderful trip to MV. The house was perfect for our group. Spacious! And had 3 bathrooms. We had everything we needed.thank you for a fantastic home base for our trip. Loved the outdoor shower and borrowed the beach chairs one day.

An economical and convenient place to stay on island - close to Vineyard Haven and 20 min walk to downtown/ferry. Clean home with everything in working order. Limited beach supplies, but able to get by. Enjoyed the stay and as I have family on the island it’s an easy spot to rest and regroup. Thanks for a good stay.

The house is in a great location! While dated, it was still spacious and comfortable. We had all the essentials. While we were only two people, the house could easily accommodate 4-6. Bud was easily reachable and we felt right at home here. I strongly recommend!

Stayed here over a long weekend with my husband and our daughter as well as my sister, mother and another friend. We really enjoyed it! The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils and we made us of the grill out back one night.
It was close enough to the town that we could walk, but also well located to pick up a friend at the airport and it was an easy drive to Oak Bluff and nice beaches. The bike path was also very close by!
It was quiet and convenient and we all said we would stay again another summer! Highly recommend!

Lovely property, quiet location and yet very convenient to town and the ferry. Well stocked home and the owner is extremely responsive, quick to answer questions. We had a delightful stay!

My family stayed for four days to attend a wedding in Early September 2023. The house was nicely decorated, maintained and furnished. It was ample in size for the 6 of us and we had a great stay.

It’s all about location, location, location! I’d stay here again. Adorable house!

We have been blessed with several years at this house on Mud Puddle. We love this home with its’ perfect location and everything that our family could need during our stay. Looking forward to many more years here!

The house was clean and well equipped. The amenities listed could be more specific. I brought several things that I didn't need to bring. Sheets, hairdryer etc. The road took some getting used to. The house is close to the main road so don't go too far. It is not hard to see the number on the fence. No where to turn around if you go too far. My main complaint was the refrigerator and some windows don't open. Overall a good experience.

Nice house, close to the ferry.

We had a wonderful time at this property. The location was a short ride to the beaches but nicely tucked away for privacy. Our kids really enjoyed playing in the yard and the home itself was perfect for our needs. Will stay again!

Great layout, all of the necessities were there, close to town, nice open floor plan and truly enjoyable first trip to Martha’s Vineyard!

House has everything you need but is a bit outdated and a far walk uphill from the ferry and Main St. That said, it would be difficult to find a bargain like this on the Vineyard. Definitely need a car. Bring your own soap and shampoo.

The home has 2.5 baths, which was convenient for 4 adult women! The home was clean and stocked with all necessities. We had no concerns and didn’t have to reach out to anyone. Will stay here again in the future.

We stayed for three days at this cottage in mid June. The layout of the house is very open, so air circulates well. It is nicely decorated and the furniture and beds are comfortable. The location is great!!

Cottage on Mud Puddle Rd is a lovely, peaceful visit. Accommodations clean, bright, and comfortable. The 5 hen girls will welcome you and provide entertainment for treats. Many amenities, kitchen complete , washer/dryer, grill, all comforts of home.. we will be back, please!

I had a milestone birthday getaway with four other ladies here at the cottage we affectionately called Mud Puddle. For three of us, it was our first time visiting Martha's Vineyard. We had a *wonderful* time. The cottage had plenty of space for the five of us. I brought two folding chairs so we could all sit at the dining room table together with a guest. The beach/nautical decor was very tasteful, with the blue paint and the polished oars as wall hangings and as the stair railing fondly noted. When it got hot, we were able to use the fans available in many of the rooms. The cottage also had plenty of windows for light and cross-breeze. The kitchen was a popular place. We cooked three full meals using the utensils, dishes, and even a few spices we found. The coffeepot did not work for us, so we boiled water in a pot for tea every day and were just fine. We left some vinegar and seasonings behind for the next guests so they could make a salad dressing like we did! One of my cousins walked into town to pick up some food and enjoyed her journey. It was less than a mile one way. Our neighbors were great, one child even coming to our rescue by getting his chickens out of the road so we could pass by. My only minor disappointment was the lack of curb appeal. When we pulled up and saw the tall grass and weeds, we were concerned about what might be lurking in them. So once my friends saw some wild turkeys in the back and a skunk crawl under the deck, it was difficult to get anyone outside to enjoy the backyard. I know the owner said he'd been on vacation for a few weeks, so that would explain it. But again, once we were inside, the cottage was immaculate and just what we needed for our restful getaway. Two of us used the outside shower, which was an amazing experience! All in all I highly recommend this property on Mud Puddle for fond memories. I want to thank the owner for remaining in touch with me from when I originally reserved this for 2020 and postponed my visit due to the pandemic. This was worth the wait.

Cottage was really cute inside, clean, and in a great location. A few small appliances were low end/ could use replacing, but overall we really enjoyed our stay!

Tisbury Dream
This was a great home to stay. Though it may not be on the beach, the beaches were not far. Easily accessible, great location and peace and tranquility felt both inside and outside of the home. Thank you so much!!!

Property was as listed, clean and bright. It’s just enough out of downtown VH to not be in the bustle but is a pretty easy walk or bike. Also not a bad bike to Oak Bluffs. I would stay again!

This was our first trip to Martha's Vineyard, and we all loved it! Very beautiful island, people very nice and helpful! This property was just what we three sisters needed - each had our own bedroom. It was very clean and had all the amenities needed for a relaxing vacation. I would suggest you take your own washcloths, as we only had ONE! We recommend the 3-hour MV tour - our guide - Phil - was very knowledegable and amusing! I would recommend this property to anyone looking to stay on the island!

This was a great house for a group of friends to discover and explore Martha's Vineyard but it does need some tender loving care. There were not complete towel sets for all of us; pillows, some lamps, and toaster need replacing for instance. There was good kitchenware for everything we wanted to cook. Didn't have any communication with the owner but I couldn't leave it blank.

The rooms are all very comfortable and spacious. The bathroom layout was perfect. The house does not have air conditioning but there was no need for most of us. The room with the twin beds is the only one that got too warm one evening. The nights are mostly cool.
The patio deck was perfect for morning coffee. We saw a wild turkey in the backyard.
I would have liked a lock on the screen doors since we slept with the sliders open. Philly girls are used to keeping things locked up tight but MV is more laid back in this respect.
The location is perfect in relation to all towns. We loved our stay. I recommend this house for a vacation with friends and family.

Cozy Home
The house was very clean and in a great condition. Despite not having an A/C, the house stayed cool, it was mostly in the mid 70s outside during our stay in June. We enjoyed the patio and the ability to grill outside (great seafood market: John's Fish Market in Tisbury).
Another plus, 2.5 bathrooms, so no wait for a bathroom or shower! And did I mention the outdoor shower?!?! Amazing addition!
Bud was excellent with communication and responded very quickly to all my questions.
The only thing I would add - we were visiting with a baby, the house does not have a crib, although we managed ok with bringing a pack n'play - in case that is a deal breaker for someone traveling with a baby.
Another recommendation - the door to the first floor bedroom does not lock, so nosy family members just keep coming in.
Overall, we had a great stay and would stay here in the future.
