lovely old pub, great beer, lovely location.
parking can be an issue as with most of Glossop. Staff shortages caused some problems but this is universal at present.

We decided to stop over glossop, after travelling from my place at Chester, to Kays place in Langold, as it is half way across,We have stayed in Glossop last year. At the Norfolk arms. This was booked up so when stopping for a drink at the Globe, the barman suggested the Bulls Head,we were able to book a room for the night.Breakfast is served down the road at the Crown. The weather was atrocious ,yet, only added to the overall thrll of the area.tThis is a area we shall visit again.Well done.
Having to eat breakfast down the road.Although we left early to beat the traffic at the Woodhead pass.

Good location, clean room. Good shower and towels. Staff pleasant and helpful.
I knew breakfast was at another location. But was only from 8-9am on the weekend!!! Too early - and to have to walk there!
Opposite the church, busy road and grave yard. Bells chime every hour. Loudly!

Great Location
The kitchen extract run through the room which was noisy and smelly. Small room. Small TV. Dated bathroom.

When we arrived after a phone call to say we were arriving the place was shut .I had left three messages saying we were there waiting outside . we had a wedding to go to , so needed to get in
A man outside the pub said they may be at a sister pub down the road . We went there and that too was shut . We had travelled from Lancashire, and just wanted to get in and sorted .
The room was clean and tidy , however when we asked for the Wi-Fi we were told to go down stairs and ask .
The shower turner left coming off and the water was scolding ( it needs fixing )
My daughter was flying to Dubai the next day for work . Across from
us where two really noises guests men loud ( this was at 12:00 midnight)
we were trying to sleep . We rang the number and they said they would “do their best and go round . The loud voices continued , no one seemed to have told them . We eventually fell asleep . It was the the best stay I have experienced at all .

Good value for money, clean, simple, Nice staff.
Bar downstairs is nice atmosphere with decent food, friendly staff. lots of locals so very cosy and welcoming place.
Rooms very warm and no shop nearby to pick up bottled water etc Water in rooms would be welcome
Breakfast is a walk away served in another pub - breakfast quality only OK. I'd skip breakfast and walk into the town for something nicer.

This was an ok little pub. Our room was large and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. Our room had a kettle with coffee and tea, as well as a TV. The pub is in a lovely village with a few places to eat within walking distance, and a larger downtown area close by with plenty of other options as well. The staff at the pub were very friendly and there were loads of beautiful hikes within a short drive. Such a beautiful area!
We did not have a very restful stay here. Our room seemed to be directly over the main bar downstairs (room #1) and the noise from the pub kept us up at night. In the morning after the first night, we were woken up by the guests in the room above us playing Ed Sheeran on full blast and singing along (very off-key I might add). The next couple of mornings, we were awoken by an older gentleman seemingly coughing up a lung in the room above. Long story short, very thin walls which made it insanely difficult to get a good night’s rest. We ate dinner at the pub the night of our arrival and we sought meals elsewhere after this… The bathroom in our room was not very clean - there was dirt in the shower when we arrived and the toilet was leaking water onto the floor. Also the batteries in our TV remote were dead and none of the staff was able to locate any replacements.

Nice food.
Room very overheated when we checked in due to faulty radiator. Fixed within an hour so ok.
Television not working. Reoprted twice but never repaired

Bed very hard. Remote for tv did not work. Shower door broken meaning had to hold it to have a shower

Nice large room, plenty of tea & coffee available.
Should have been told that breakfast would be at another Inn down the road, but this was not a problem for us.

The Breakfast was good, and freshly cooked BUT it was a few hundred yards away at the bottom of a steep hill. I am 80 years old and my wife is in her 70s and has arthritis.
No evening meals on Monday and Tuesday, and the closure of the kitchen less than an hour after our arrival. If we had known about this we would have stayed elsewhere. When I expressed my disappointment on Monday the staff member did offer to book a taxi to take us into Glossop where there were restaurants. Two weeks before we had stayed in Chapel en le Frith and got food without any problem.

Good location; Great scenery; lovely staff; clean; enjoyed the breakfast;
See you again x
Would have preferred an earlier checkin time as we travelled by train.
This would have allowed us put away ours bags so that we could explore a bit more.

Good location, cosy pub, great beer and food, staff brilliant. Very comfortable and large bed.
Pub is located in Old Glossop which is like a Peak District village in look. It is a short walk from the hotel to Doctor's Gate which is a route up to the Pennie Way if you are keen on walking.
Room was a bit too cosy, but OK, I guess they have focussed on getting a lovely bed in there which is, after all, what you need most! Bathroom was a bit tired, radiator rusty, but everything worked fine. Nothing that would stop me going again!

Beautiful location, very handsome old building, very good size room and clean.
There was a quiz on the Tuesday night. Friendly crowd.
Landlord gave us a lift to the station when it was time to leave.
Close to a beautiful park and to escape to the open spaces nearby.
Bit of a mix up about the breakfast. Breakfast is good, but it is served at the sister property just a few minutes walk away. Staff forgot to tell us that, which was confusing! Website promised great food but unfortunately we'd gone midweek, so there was no evening meal.

Very clean and comfortable.
We booked 3 rooms. One of which the shower didn't work. Reported to staff who rang the landlord who said to send a email about the problem. 3 days later I have still had no reply.

Comfortable bed. Nice big room.
Breakfast served in a different pub down the road which smelt of dogs, had to book a timed slot. Bulls Head not serving food in the evening, only told on arrival.
