We loved our time here. Lots of beds for sleeping and space to spread out. The kitchen was well equipped with plenty of seating. There were plenty of linens for everyone’s comfort. The outdoor space with the fire pit had plenty of room for everyone to gather around and the kids loved playing in the woods. The hot tub was huge and very enjoyable. Communication with the host was prompt and friendly. Navaho Lake, Mammoth Cave, Cedar Breaks National Monument (the Sky Show they sponsor there with the telescopes was a hit), and the hike to Cascade Falls are all within 45 minutes. The visitors center at Duck Creek was really helpful to find the treasures in the area. We loved our stay here and made some great memories with the family!

Perfect cabin for our family! Well equipped kitchen, plenty of linens, and lots of space for relaxing and connecting. I would have preferred earlier check in and a later check out. The wind chimes disrupted our sleep on one windy night, but overall our stay was fantastic!

This is a beautiful cabin. Clean, completely stocked with anything you will need for a fun family vacation. 25 of us enjoyed this home with lots of room. Kitchen is perfect with plenty of cooking equipment. Hot tub was the icing on this beautiful cabin. Sledding literally 10 feet outside the door . My grandkids spent hours sledding down the road. Very safe and so much fun. We will be back!

We had family visiting from Denmark so there was a lot of us. This property was nice and plenty big for all of us. The host was very good at sending out information. Everything you needed was in an email and available for printing. We loved our vacation time up in Brian Head.

As I reviewed the previous reviews, I can't believe that we are talking about the same home.
The positives were that the bathrooms, beds and kitchen were clean and sheets smelled fresh. There were plenty of towels, hot water, soap, shampoo, etc. But it seemed that the house has not been used much as it had a musty smell especially when we came in the front/side door into the kitchen.
But the home is very unusual in it's layout which we didn't understand until we arrived there. Three bedrooms and a bath squeezed into the ground floor next to the garage via a small hallway. The kids called it the dungeon. When we opened one of the windows for a view of the pine trees, both shutters were broken and hadn't been repaired.
The upstaris bedroom and half bath were strange with a metal ladder leading up to that area or ducking under the loft eaves, going through a pass through bedroom to get to it.
The pictures of the upstairs living room did not correspond with the furniture that was there, we had older, musty smelling couches, chairs plus a stained leather chair and footstools. The house has older carpet, blinds that didn't keep out the light especially in the mornings. It was difficult for our grandchildnren who were in the loft to sleep as there were no blinds on the windows that didn't keep out the early morning sun.
The home needs some serious TLC and was not a place that we wanted to gather or cook in, it just didn't have a comfortable warm family feel to it.

We had a wonderful stay at the Spruce Cabin! It was super comfortable for our group of 9. The loft was fabulous and fun for the kids, the great room was cozy and the pool table was a hit! There were so many beds and bedrooms and bathrooms to accomodate everyone’s needs. It was located minutes from the ski resorts but make sure you have chains or a 4 wheel drive if it’s snowing. The property manager was responsive and the arrival and departure instructions were clear. We were also very pleased that we were able to check in a bit earlier which was only possible because the house cleaning was completed. We all had a great stay and would definetely stay here again.

We had such a wonderful experience. The location was awesome, a couple minutes to the ski resort. The cabin is surrounded by trees. There was so much snow. The kids spent an entire day sledding and building snow forts on the property. The upstairs loft was awesome for all the young cousins. The great room was spacious and accommodated our group of 18 comfortably. Kathryn, the owner, was so great to work with. She accommodated our early/late check-in requests. (This can’t always be arranged because of the cleaning schedule.). We look forward to our next vacation with Trekadoo!

Very impressed with all the details communicated by the Owner. Best System and Platform we've experienced. One thing I would suggest is to remove the gate hinges by the stairs, it is easily bumped into.

Great location next to the lodge and ski lifts and is accommodating enough for large groups to sleep soundly. Overall a good place to stay

The cabin was an amazing place to stay! It is in a beautiful location and had plenty of room. The family room was huge and felt open and bright with the large windows and vaulted ceiling. Very clean and well stocked. The owner was great to work with and very responsive. A few fun places nearby are Parowan Gap and Cedar Breaks Chessmen Ridge at sunset. It is breathe taking! I highly recommend this cabin!

Repeat visit, awesome again!
This was our second annual visit to the Spruce Cabin with the extended family. Lots of room for the kids to play, multiple large areas for the adults to lounge and so close to the ski lifts and the snowmobile rentals. We have every intention of future additional visits.

Nice Cabin for a Large Group
We stayed at this cabin to have a surprise birthday party for our son's 13th birthday. We invited grandparents and cousins. There were enough beds for everyone and the common area was large enough for all to gather in. Owner was absolutely fantastic and all communication was simple and fast. No issues at all.

Great home!
We had our family reunion at this property and it was great! There was plenty of room for everyone and we appreciated having so many bathrooms. The outdoor area was nice and we enjoyed smores around the fire pit. My one critique would be that some of the furnishings in the main area were quite old and my older family members had a hard time getting out of the chairs/couches. Some said the mattresses were uncomfortable, but that's just preference as mine was fine.

Amazing home!
Every bit as wonderful as we imagined! We had a great time. The house was beautiful with plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was great, and we played lots of pool. Garage entrance was perfect for getting in and out with skis.

Amazing ski cabin!
This cabin was perfect for our ski trip to Brian Head. There was more than enough space for our group of 11. Being so close to the ski lifts made it easy to come and go as everyone needed throughout the day. Would definitely stay here again.

Better then expected. The pictures don't do it justice. Location was perfect. Walking distance to the little market. Only a few minutes to the slopes, ice skating and tubing. We had a dear we had to shoo from going into the garage. Kathryn was very responsive and a great host. I would stay there again. :)

Multi-family pre-Christmas snow trip
Our group had 6 adults and 6 kids, beautiful and spacious cabin. We had more space than we needed with rooms to spare. The kids loved the loft area and it was great that it was so close to the living room and kitchen. We didn't think the kids would use the playground setup since it was half buried in snow. We were wrong, they loved it and also sledding down the street (there were almost no cars that used the street). I would love to rent this cabin in the future.

Great mountain cabin.
Beautiful spot and great property. House had everything you could want. Very nice kitchen and large comfortable living room. Only hiccup was we did not receive check in information prior to arrival and had about a 45 minute delay before gaining entry to the property.

Vacation 2020
The property is very nice and large. We booked a 3 day trip. We were told we would have paper goods for 2-3 days. We ran out of paper towels the first night. There was also only 5 trash bags. For a large group there should be an expectation for trash since we are eating every meal here. The hand soap was more than half empty in all bathrooms. Some little changes that may have been an additional $20 expense to the owner would have made a difference. Also, my 7 year old found out the hard way that there are mouse traps around the house. I would have liked to have given her that warning had I known. Overall the cabin was great with plenty of space and the pool table was a huge hit. The cleaning turn around time is 7 hours yet on the list you are asked to do extra loads of laundry if possible with a 10am check out time. We are on vacation and not doing the service of the cleaners coming with a 7 hour cleaning window. That shouldn't be asked of anyone. I would recommend this cabin but I would not plan on having toilet paper, paper towels or trash bags as part of your accommodations.

Wonderful!
We stayed at the Spruce cabin and it was a total blast! It was able to accommodate our family with more than enough beds, kitchen supplies, bathroom needs and outdoor supplies. It was a smooth process from start to finish. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us, we made some wonderful memories!

Great property overall!
The property was perfect for my large group! We truly enjoyed our stay, and it was super close to the lodge and lifts. There were plenty of beds, and the home had a lot of charm! :D
We faced a couple of issues, but Kathryn was helpful and responsive. For example, the driveway was very icy, and there wasn't salt available in the garage. There are shovels, but this wouldn't work in the ice. Also, the pilot was out in the living room heater, so we had to relight this. So if you are visiting during the winter, keep these in mind!
Additionally, we also ran out of toilet paper and trash bags. We were only there for two nights. Be sure to plan and pack ahead before visiting.

Quick Trip
The cabin was comfortable and in a great location with regards to the slopes. It had plenty of rooms with beds and the kitchen was large. Our trip was early in the season which probably accounted for the snow in front of the garage so we couldn't park in it but the driveway was more than enough room for 2 vehicles. It was quiet with a nice views of the woods and sky.

Top of the World
This property is in the Brian Head Resort area of Southern Utah. According to my inquiries it is the 2nd highest town in the US, Leadville CO being higher. Lots to do in the area in summer with the resort being right there. During our stay the Region had a power outage (not owners fault) which created several challenges but turned out to be a lot of fun and forced some innovation on our part such as cooking our French Bread on the outside grill (it was delicious). As we used the facility for a family reunion it proved reasonably good at accommodating larger groups. We'd do it again.

Great cabin for a large group
We loved our stay in the Spruce cabin. We had a large group and had plenty of room for 8 adults and 6 kids with extra beds we did not even use. The cabin is in a great location. I would recommend bringing chains for your car. It had not snowed there in a while but because the driveway is on a hill we had a lot of trouble getting up to the cabin due to ice. Great sledding in the front yard. Much of Brian Head did not have snow around but this cabin did due to its location. Parts of the cabin are new and updated and parts of the cabin are old and funky but if I need a large cabin to stay in I would stay here again.

Beautiful cabin, beautiful surroundings, wonderful stay!
This beautiful cabin was perfect for our 4-night getaway with all our kids and grandchild (10 total). Ample room for everyone with very comfortable and clean living conditions. Ski slopes only 1-2 minute drive away made it very convenient for all day skiing. We never ate out so we made all our meals in the very well equipped kitchen. The only problem we encountered was the crock pot lid did not fit the crock pot so we ended up eating dinner a couple hours later than planned one night. Also there was only one big garbage bag, but luckily one of our kids happened to have one. So bring your own garbage bags especially if you plan to use paper goods, which we did. Not necessary though as the kitchen has plenty of dishes and utinsels to use, and a dishwasher. Overall, it was a fantastic place to stay and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a great getaway for their family!
