Great get away location. Very quiet and secluded.

First, communicating with Jamie was great. He always responded promptly. The cabin is well located between Ponca and Jasper right in the midst of all kinds of Buffalo River activities. It is well-equipped with accurate descriptions of furnishings, etc. Very comfortable although the up stairs sleeping room got a little warm for me at night. I opted to sleep on the couch downstairs and have to say it was the most comfortable couch I have ever slept on! In fact, I think I caught up on sleep even though I was out all night photographing the stars. I didn't think I could shoot the Milky Way at the cabin, but at the end of June it was in the right location to do so! It was pretty awesome to just step out the door to see and photograph the Milky Way. It was a great stay and the next time I return to the dark skies of the Buffalo National River to photograph the night sky, the Pine Knot Cabin will be first on my list to check out!

Pine Knot is a perfect place to break away from the business of life and slow down. It’s a great space that suited us very well. There is no cell service, but Wi-Fi was provided, for those that need it. Our group did have to tap into that for a little bit for work - there are kind of three separate spaces that worked for privacy for us - back deck, front deck, and inside. We will definitely be looking at coming back! The proximity to our desired outdoor adventures couldn’t be beat!
The upper room stayed a pretty decent temp during the hotter days; the back porch perfect in the evenings to watch the fireflies, bats, and other wildlife; and the kitchen was stocked well enough to meet our needs and avoid going out. The road into the cabin is well taken care of as well, though the turn around might be a bit steep without AWD.
Can’t recommend this place enough!!

We really loved our stay at Pine Knot Cabin! It had all the amenities we needed as a home base for a fun Buffalo River getaway! We loved the porch and spent lots of time on it in the mornings and evenings listening to the the frogs and enjoying the sunset. The cabin was isolated but easy to get too. Our Camry had no trouble on the dirt road, though I can see how it might get to be a problem if it was any more rainy. It was a little muddy and one of our cars did spin tires a little in the mud. I love how the cabin feels rustic with the beautiful knotty pine, but has everything modern you need with kitchen appliances and Wi-Fi and Roku (teenagers watched movies in the evening). The beds were really comfy, and though the sleeping loft is warmer than downstairs, we were still comfortable and I appreciated the fan upstairs. The washer/dryer were great, as we came back each day with muddy clothes from hiking and swimming. The owner was so gracious! When I let them know that we may have to reschedule because our home in Rogers had been hit with the major tornados and we were dealing with that, they gave us the option of choosing a different date, even though it was after the refund time. We ended up keeping our original dates, and it was a welcome getaway from all the tornado disaster clean-up. We would love to come back again to Pine Knot Cabin! 2 little Notes: There wasn't enough toilet paper provided for our 3 days, and ice maker doesn't work (there are ice trays though).

The location was beautiful. We loved the whole time thoroughly to the fullest extent. Beautiful cabin that is well taken care of.
For future guests, it may delight them if you were to have a can of coffee there with the coffee maker. The upstairs was quite warm too, so a window unit may help cool it off without freezing the downstairs. But other than that, we loved the time there very much.

Convenient location, clean cabin, smooth check-in process.

What a cool cabin! So convenient to climbing areas and very clean. We will book this place again next time we are in town. The views are amazing and we felt like the only ones at the Ranch.
4.8
It was a very nice get away. Very private. And secluded. It was everything we was needing for our get away thank you

We chose the cabin based on the proximity to HCR, and we were very happy with the cabin and its offerings!

This cabin was great for my hiking trip with my best friend. Close to several trails. While secluded in the woods, you can still hear the highway. So keep that in mind. Beds were comfortable but new pillows are a must! It was very clean, however the deck could use a good power washing. I wiped out on it after a rain. It was so slick! There’s not really a yard but a fire pit would be a nice addition if they could fix a place to put it. Don’t copy and paste the emailed address into your GPS. I did and it took me 26 min out of the way. Put Horseshoe Canyon Ranch in and then look for the Pine Knot sign.

Nice cabin just a few minutes' drive from Horseshoe Canyon Ranch. It was plenty of room for our group of 4. Felt nice and secluded and good views off the front porch!

This was a great place to stay for climbing at Horseshoe Canyon. The beds were comfortable. It was a little hot in the upstairs sleeping loft. They could repair the drive around the cabin. It needs more gravel. The kitchen could be better equipped. Barely enough place settings for 4 people. But I would go back again. It is a lovely setting and a comfortable cabin for 4.

Thank you for the great stay. We enjoyed our visit very much. The cabin was very comfortable and isolated. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.
4.8
Cute and cozy cabin with lots of privacy and all of the essentials! My family had a great time here and really enjoyed the pool/hut tub use and to see the animals on the ranch, the views from the pool are beautiful!! We had a good view from the cabin but couldn’t see quite as much.
We had an option to do a few a la carte activities at the ranch if we chose to but we didn’t quite have the time. The turn around loop was a bit sticky in a mini van but we made it:)
The towels and bedding were good quality, and we like the Roku to watch some tv, the only improvements I might have liked would be a new coffee maker, and a few new pans, but in all it was great! Charming and private!

We had a great weekend stay. Super quiet. Loved watching the bats fly out at dusk and hundreds of lightening bugs in the trees. Highly recommend.
4.8
We loved the cabin and area and had a great time! However, we thought the weeds around the cabin should have been cut.

Pine Knot cabin is very nice. Very secluded but not too far from Horseshoe Canyon Ranch. Access is a gravel road, so not motorcycle friendly, but otherwise very nice! Very good air conditioning and hot water. Beds are very comfortable. We loved the covered deck. Also the cookout grill was very nice. We would stay here again.

The cabin was just off the road for easy access but was fully secluded. The back porch was our favorite place to enjoy coffee in the morning or a glass of wine at night. The cabin was clean and had EC we thing we needed. The property manager was always quick to respond. Having access to the nearby Dude Ranch is definitely a benefit. We would recommend this cute cabin to any couple or small family looking for a weekend getaway.

Lovely and pleasant, rustic, great access to HCR climbing.

Everything worked out good. Nice, simple cabin. Good shower w pressure and enough hot water. Could be a bit cleaner in areas but all in all nice and would use again if necessary.

We’ve stayed here the last two years and love it! The location is wonderful, the property is so clean and the cabin is an absolute dream. Anytime we stay at the Buffalo, we will always be sure to stay here as long as they’ll have us!

Loved staying here. Was perfect for our girls climbing trip at horseshoe canyon.
4.8
We enjoyed the views from the deck and the closeness to nearby trailheads. The owners were very responsive to an issue we had with the cabin.

This is an amazing cabin for a small party. My two daughters and I stayed this past weekend at this cabin and loved everything about the layout, location, and feel of cozy it had. Loved I didn’t have to pay ridiculous amount of money for a clean and welcoming cabin.

Nice place. Very secluded.

We had a very nice stay. Toiletries and Kitchen work just fine. Deck is a beautiful view and I enjoyed using my grill on it in the evenings. Wind sometimes could mess with the fire but no biggie. Wi-Fi is nice and smart tv as an option is nice too. We are not originally from Arkansas and were amazed by the mountainous area. Jasper is close by along with many hiking trails.
4.8
We had a wonderful time. Nice, clean, cute cabin. No cell service so I had to communicate with owner through VRBO app but they responded quickly to my questions and requests.

We enjoyed our weekend getaway. Location was great, felt like we were out in the wilderness but was actually only about 1/4 mile from the highway. The view was amazing and saw a couple deer. Furniture was good except one kitchen stool has a broken seat that makes it unsteady. Roku was nice for end of the day movie watching. Exceeded our expectations. Would definitely stay again.
4.8
Loved this cabin, very comfortable and beautiful view! Stove needed cleaning the only thing

Loved this little cabin! It is only minutes from the main road but feels very secluded. The cabin was very clean and in a good spot to go to many trails. Low Gap Cafe was right down the road. The view from the deck was so peaceful. The bed feels more like a full rather than a queen, but it didn’t bother us. There are 2 singles upstairs with the larger bed in the loft. Owners were very responsive and check in was super easy.

Pine Knot was a wonderful place to stay! It looks just like the pictures. It was super clean and had everything you would need for your stay.
Getting to the cabin was easy. I was worried reading some reviews saying you needed a 4 wheel drive. It's less than a quarter mile from the road to the cabin on a well kept gravel road. We were in a Camry and had no problems at all.
There is WiFi there. We were able to stream movies on the Roku TV.
We rented this cabin because of the view off the porch and it didn't disappoint! The colors of the trees were beautiful on the hillside with the goats grazing. The location was perfect to easily get to The Grand Canyon of Arkansas, Lost Valley, Steel Creek and other scenic areas. Get the books Arkansas Waterfalls and Arkansas Day Hikes by Tim and Pam Ernst for tons of ideas.
For food, Jasper has the Ozark Cafe and Susie's Cafe and don't miss Lowgap Cafe! The food there was AMAZING and only 2 miles away.

Beautiful views from the back deck especially peak autumn. Good place to kick back and spend some time with a small family.
4.8
We love to rock climb at horseshoe canyon ranch and this place was perfect. I was really nice to be able to cook breakfast before we left for the day. Breing able to shower after was just as wonderful. Awesome cabin. We enjoyed ourselves very much.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Pine Knot cabin. It was clean, private, easy to find, easy to check in, and just as the listing described. The back deck was amazing. Great view, and we got beautiful sunrises and sunsets. I loved having my coffee out there each morning. The kitchen was equipped for basic cooking. Comfy beds and furniture. No cell service, but the Wi-Fi works well (minus a few blips here and there) and having the Roku was nice for streaming. I would recommend that you avoid the driveway loop if you don’t have a four wheel drive or at least a vehicle that sits high. We have a small crossover SUV and almost got stuck. All in all, a great experience and we will definitely go back if visiting the Jasper area again!

The pine knot was a great stay at a reasonable price had everything we needed nice and private can’t wait to stay there again

Wonderful comfortable modern cabin at Horseshoe Canyon Ranch!!
4.8
The cabin was awesome! Perfect for me and my best friends weekend at HCR! But the turn around drive way was a little sketchy, very steep and you need 4 wheel drive. The ruts from the rain make it difficult to drive.
4.8
We had an awesome time relaxing and enjoying the local town. We floated the buffalo river and had so much fun! Thanks for letting us stay there God bless you!

Great place. We love it there. Always clean and nice. I would like to make a suggestion. A welcome mat outside and and a rug or two inside would sure help cut down on noise from loft. It would also keep dirt from entering so badly from the shoes. I slipped and busted my butt on the front deck while opening the door. A mat would have stopped that deck humidity from being so slick. Scout the dog was still there, but he sure needs a good grooming. I only had the pleasure of seeing him one day but it made me happy. Thank you for the fun!
