We loved having the space for our 3 families. Everyone was happy!

Nice home. plenty of room.

The space was perfect for our family. We knew ahead of time that the WiFi was not great, but the coming upgrades will help as it was really hard to get a signal. All the adults felt that an upgrade to the pillows would be a good change.

Very nice, well kept, everyone had a wonderful time.

All around incredible location and stay!! Nothing bad to say about it. Worked for everything we needed - relaxation, races prep, and family fun!!

This was our 4th annual Lutsen trip with our family and very best friends!
Jereme was a great host/communicator from the very start which made our trip that much easier.
The house was just as expected, with a fully equipped kitchen and plenty of room for our large group!
We can’t wait to return in 2025!

This was the second time we stayed here with our kids and grandkids. Perfect again!

It was a great place for my family to gather from different locations to celebrate the Christmas Holidays. The only disappointment was the weather…… no snow, just rain and fog…..very unusual conditions for this time of year. We made the best of it though! The backdrop of Lake Superior never disappoints!

We have always loved the Lutsen area. This property was a great choice for 11 people. We used all three units that were hooked together. We took turns cooking. We celebrated my husband’s 70th birthday. People played games and watched movies. The place worked beautifully for all. It reminded us of all the old times on the north shore. Thanks to Jereme and Sara!

This property was perfect for our extended family of 13. We did not feel cramped in the spacious accommodations on multiple levels. The kitchen was well equipped and the place was spotless.
The owners were very responsive to our emails prior to our stay and texts during our time in Lutsen.
Thanks for the base to make great memories with our children, their spouses and our grandkids. We would definitely come back

We enjoyed our weekend with our family at the North Shore Retreat. The house was clean and ready for us when we arrived. This was our second time staying at this house and although it was a great spot with access to all the fun things we like to do, the beds are well loved and could use a refresh.

We have been meeting as an extended family at the North Shore Retreat for the last seven years. It has become like a second home on the North Shore for three generations of our family. The space is always clean, well equipped, and in perfect shape for our enjoyment. The hosts have thought of all of the details and are always responsive. Thank you for another great year of memories.

The property was perfect, and had everything we could’ve needed and more. Well equipped kitchen, space to spreadout, clean, comfortable and inviting. Was welcomed with some chocolates, a bottle of wine, and a card from the owner. Even got a text during our stay to ensure everything was going well. I give this property an exceptional 5.0 Star Review 🙂 will definitely book again.

The accomodations at this property were all first rate. We had 8 Adults stay and it accomodated us with room to spare. Furnishings were very nice and comfortable. Amenities were first rate and well maintained. Only issue was we could not figure out how to get the AC to operate. After a quick call the property manager walked us through the issue and we were up and running in no time. Highly recomend this property for larger groups...Five Beds, Four Baths. Very Nice.

We (group of 6 adults and 6 kids) really enjoyed our stay at North Shore Retreat. The layout of the condo was great for our group. I loved that there was so much seating at the large dining room table, it made it easy to eat and play board games together. The kitchen had everything we needed, even a crock pot! The manager communicated well with us and was able to accommodate special requests related to our check out time. The ski out was easy to do, though getting back was more challenging for young skiers, but nothing that would prevent us form staying here again. I would love to see a king bed in one of the downstairs bedrooms to help this place feel more like home. We look forward to coming back again next year if possible!

We really enjoyed our stay— there were 9 adults and a baby! We were there to celebrate my 70th birthday and all be together. A few skied some but mostly we played games, ate well, enjoyed the hot tub and being entertained by my 1.5 yr old granddaughter.
The set up worked out great. The only complaint we had was the oven— it caused us some confusion and delays, but we survived!!
Thanks for the great place!!

We enjoyed our stay at Lutsen with a large family group. The condo worked great for our group and allowed us to take a convenient break for lunch and avoided the chalet. Communication was great from the owner, they checked in with us upon arrival and departure. Everything was up to expectations and we would book again.

We are a group of 6 retired married guys. Annually we gather for what is known as Ski Camp – some of us still ski. This was our 7th stay here. We keep coming back to Jereme’s and Sara’s house because in the Lutsen area you can’t beat it. We are spread out over 3 floors; almost everyone gets their own bedroom and there is at least 1 bathroom on each floor.
The kitchen is well stocked with a dish washer, range/oven, microwave, and a large frig with ice maker. The large frig w/ice maker is great if you enjoy a beer (or pop) and an occasional mixed drink. It has happened and there are 6 of us. We also like to cook and the kitchen usually has everything we need. My job is using the gas grill on the deck without over cooking the steaks (bring a meat thermometer). We have never used the wood burning fireplace in the living room. Why???
I could go on with more of the features but let me just say we ALWAYS have fun and keep coming back. I expect we will do the same next year.

We had a great time at this property. We traveled with three families in total and everyone had a blast!
This is a really great location, however, the ski in/ski out at this location is a bit tricky. You technically do have to walk (a short distance) to the trail that takes you in/out. It's not major but makes it a bit more difficult. A hot tub outside would be a great amenity as the hot tub at the lodge was packed.
All in all, we would totally stay here again!

What a terrific property! Was fully stocked and several rooms were available to allow our whole family to stay in the same location. Furniture was comfortable and the main area was big enough to accommodate our large group. While there we had a quick question for owners and they were very quick to respond. Would definitely recommend!

This is a fantastic option on-site at Lutsen with extremely responsive owners!

Our family had a wonderful stay at this north shore retreat. The accommodations were perfect for all ages 2 to 87. We love to cook and the kitchen had everything we needed. Our hosts thought of everything. Those who skied loved being able to hit the mountain from the resort. If we head back to lutsen we will definitely stay here again!

We had high hopes of spending Xmas skiing/snowboarding, however Mother Nature had other plans. Below average temps in the minus degrees, high winds (50+ mph gusts) and frequent power outages forced the shut down of the mountain, so we were stuck inside. But we had a great time despite the weather. Plenty of games, movies, gingerbread house contest between the cousins, fires and of course eating! Good time had by all!
4.0
Our family of four stayed here with another family of four for a long ski weekend.
Pros:
It was very clean and roomy. We loved having the fully equipped kitchen to make all our meals together and the table was large enough for us to all sit down and eat together. The rooms all has fans and humidifiers which was a nice surprise. The kids enjoyed building snowmen outside and watching movies by the big fireplace after each day of skiing. The host was very responsive as well.
The cons:
We rented a ski-in/ ski-out so that we could bring the kids back as needed for a rest, grab lunches and not deal with the lack of parking at the mountain. This is NOT an easy ski-in/ski-out. We acknowledge that we arrive during a blizzard and the trails could have been covered but directly behind the condo is a large drop off and even if you could ski through woods to get out to the trail, getting back in required taking your skis off and hiking back up the hill carrying your skis…and tired kids and their skis if you have kids. We had 4 kids ranging from 8 to 17 and only one of them could make this trip so we ended up having to drive back and forth to the mountain. We also spent a frustrating first half of our two day skiing just trying to figure out how to get two and from the mountain. It was very disappointing.
All in all, we loved the property but it’s access to the hills was disappointing for the amount of money we paid.

We as well as the kids were very disappointed that we were not allowed to participate in the activities like we have in the past when staying at this location: And we were not notified about this until after we checked in. The place was pretty clean but the windows were filled with finger marks . The floors were not very clean either:

Our family has stayed in this condo several times over the years and have been very comfortable. It’s a great location on the shore in a quiet area. We appreciate queen beds, numerous bathrooms, numerous coffee makers and refrigerators for our group of 12. We will keep coming back!

Our stay was awesome. Just as pictured. Communications with the property owner were excellent. You will not regret staying here. We will be booking this place again!!

We all absolutely loved our stay. It was the perfect setup for runners, volunteers, and crew. A great variety of sleeping options were perfect for our group. The owners made it very welcoming. We're all looking forward to doing it again next year.

Jereme was easy to work with, responsive and helpful. The property was close to all the things we wanted to see on the north shore and we enjoyed our time there

I took some of my kids and grandkids up for a trip to Lutsen, Grand Marais, and the North Shore. This was a perfect location and condo for us to be in. We had 10 people and there was bed space to spare. Very nicely equipped kitchen and grill right out on the deck. The owners was easily accessed by phone if needed. The WiFi worked very poorly, and you won't get cell signal up there, but you kind of expect that when you go to a mountain spot, so it didn't bother us too much. Nice Master Suite Jacuzzi. My grandkids went swimming and loved the pool. You are very close here to the Chair Lifts going up the mountain (it was summer and we enjoyed taking the lift up the mountain and coming down the Alpine Slide and also going up the mountain on the Gondola). It's 25 minutes to Grand Marais, 15 minutes to Cascade River State Park. Many other activities close by.

Our North Shore Retreat stay was perfect! Our family of 14 enjoyed celebrating our 40th anniversary in the house and enjoyed all of the lodge amenities, especially the two pools! Finding a home with 5 bedrooms can be difficult, so happy to have found North Shore Retreat!
5.0
Our family had 9 adults, one child, and one toddler. The condo was easy access, with a coded door lock. The online pictures were very accurate, and we especially appreciated the 10-seat dining table, so everyone could sit and eat together. Dishes and cooking tools were well stocked. A beautiful place with very attentive owners!
