Cider Cottage was in a very idyllic location and close to Sidmouth shoppes, and Sidmouth's pebble beach and gardens.

Lovely cottage - very spacious with additional facilities (playground, etc.) for the guests. lovely garden and paths for lovely country walks.

The number of bedrooms and types of beds (4 singles 1 king) were exactly what I needed being a single mum with 2 boys and travelling with grandparents. The upside-down layout of the property worked well.
It did feel a bit damp downstairs and the extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work. Very tight turning to get in and out of property and parking area could do with some maintenance. Some of the play equipment could be cleaned.

Beautiful scenery and walks for the dog. Rustic feel, very warm and cosy! Can’t wait to come back again next year, home away from home couldn’t be happier 🥰 oh and the laundry smelled AMAZING! Check in and out was nice and easy!

Main rooms very spacious, loved the ambiance and style of the living room. Double bed large, single rooms snug but good. Very quiet location and so close to Sidmouth.
Phone signal variable and local WiFi speeds a bit slow at 3Mbts/s still usable for WiFi calls and streaming radio without problems.

Beautiful setting, peaceful and very spacious.

Great cottage, lots of room, great garden/BBQ area. Lots of things for young children to do in the covered play area. There is also swings and a slide so the kids would never be bored if you decided to hang around the property.
Spiders. The cottages are old so it is understandable that you get a lot around, but don't let that put you off

Cider cottage and its garden are very nice. The rooms are spacious with lots of seating for all 6 of us. The grounds are nice for walking and there were great games to play: croquet, tennis, creek walks, ping pong. The two staff members we met were OUTSTANDING! They were very responsive to our inquiries. They graciously let us place our refrigerated groceries in the fridge prior to our check in time! Be sure to bring your own condiments and shower/bath soap. There was plenty of dish soap available.
The cottage was not as advertised in their listing. The BBQ was filled with dirt and very happy weeds. We planned meals to BBQ meat out every night and with one very small skillet, our first night's meal was extremely challenging. Rob was wonderful and got us a BBQ and wood, kindling and a lighter to cook the rest of our meals! We also had 6 people and only 4 forks but lots of dishware. Rob again to the rescue on day 2! The cottage does NOT have a washer or dryer. They are in another area, were filled with sheets and coin operated. Again Rob got one of each available for us on day 3!

The location was amazing, so peaceful.

The location was perfect for what we wanted. We were a group of 4 green lane bikers, this location was a good jump off point for the local lanes.
The shower pressure wasnt brilliant, however this is due to the local spring providing the water source. Even so, the water was hot and the accomodation was nice and warm

Cider Cottage is a beautiful building full of character and history, we loved the upside down layout. The garden was in full bloom and the Wisteria was alive with the orchestra of feeding Bees, and was set in a lovely 50 acre working farm with plenty of room for walking and exploration.

The privacy excellent, the information re history of the buildings was well presented. Very welcome and friendly atmosphere. Would hope to return.
Maybe a welcome box of tea milk etc.

We really enjoyed our stay at Cider cottage. Andy and Rosie were very welcoming. The facilities and the location were excelled and it was so quiet and peaceful. If you are a dog lover it's perfect as we enjoyed meeting the dogs on site plus other residents dogs. The cottage itself was well clean, well equipped and full of history. I would definitely recommend this property and would like to return one day,

The property was nice and comfortable and had everything we needed for a week away. It had decent sized rooms and accepted dogs. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Everyone loved having a game of tennis on the court and table tennis. The children’s play area was nice.
The property was rather dated, the furniture needs upgrading, the upstairs toilet sink needs replacing and the water pipes made loud strange noises. The wall between Cider cottage and next door was very thin and we could hear the people talking etc.
The price of staying in the property was extremely expensive.

A noisy dog but belonged to a guest in another cottage.

The location is quiet and very convenient for a number of coastal villages. The flowers around the cottages were very attractive. The cottage was pleasant with some interesting features.
The greeting from the owner was offhand and non welcoming when we enquired which cottage was Cider, as the names weren't visible behind the flowers. One toilet cistern was broken and no dog bowl/bed as in the details. Some of the cutlery was dirty on arrival. I don't expect to have to strip the beds at the end of a stay at a four star 'superb' establishment. Very specific details were in the cottage for recycling, however, the bins were not where described and not clearly labelled, hence all the recycling was mixed with the landfill - not the visitors fault. Overall disappointing for the rating and cost, considering a 45% increase in fees in the past two weeks and a further 17% increase in a few months.

It’s in a beautiful, quiet setting 10 minutes walk to the nearest pub. It’s in 45 acres which you can walk around. The cottage itself was very quaint, comfortable and clean.
Nothing to not like about it

We loved everything during our two night stay. Couldn’t fault a thing for what we paid. Will definitely book again. The location is lovely, rural but close to Sidmouth.
Nothing for what we paid.
