Our spacious, luxury one-bedroom vacation condominium retreat is located in the Kamaole Sands Resort at the southern end of Kihei and adjacent to Wailea. Smoking prohibited in the condo, on the lanais and in resort common areas at Kamaole Sands. Guests always comment on the beautiful tropical landscaping, sparkling fountains, orchid wall and peaceful waterfall. You will find no finer accommodations at Kamaole Sands!
At day's end, enjoy restful sleep on our wonderful queen-sized, pillow-top Sealy Posturepedic mattress set. The plantation shutters provide privacy while allowing cooling breezes to circulate through the room. The flat screen TV and DVD-VCR are thoughtful touches that allow you to enjoy a movie or the Late Night Show in the bedroom.
We are decorated in the British Colonial theme. Palm and banana trees, pineapples, and wicker in natural colors predominate. Beautiful art work adorns the walls. The two bathrooms have been decorated with luminous glass tile and African mahogany carved vanities, thoughtful accessories, decorative lighting, and jetted showers.
Our unit is on the third floor of Building Five, one of the best-located buildings in the Kamaole Sands Resort. Views from the bedroom look toward magnificent Haleakala. Views from the lanai look onto Haleakala, the pool complex and gardens, with the West Maui Mountains, the Pacific Ocean and Lanai in the distance. The well-shaded lanai is aimed toward the west and catches the beautiful sunsets every day of the year. An entry screen door enables you to open the front door and allow the tradewinds to waft through the unit keeping it cool during the warm afternoons. When needed, cool air from our powerful 24,000 BTU air conditioner in the living room. And a portable air conditioner in the bedroom. The unit is at the extreme southern end of the building, and the walkway is well removed from the bedroom window assuring privacy, fresh air and light. Guests have loved this unit and return year after year.
Kamaole Sands resort registration fee partially of fully paid by owner, depending on the length of stay. (Fully paid for stays of at least 2 weeks; 1/2 paid for stays of at least 1 week.) Broadband WiFi internet access, and free local calls.
We provide our guests with additional amenities like beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella, boogie boards, and a cooler for picnics. No need to pack or rent extra stuff -- just come and enjoy.
The kitchen is stocked with dishes, utensils, pots and pans, etc. so you can cook your own meals, if you prefer. The resort's outdoor barbeque areas with gas grills and tables are another easy way to prepare meals. And there are a lot of restaurants in the Kihei area and across Maui, if you prefer eating out.

This was a beautiful rental! Great location with lots of local eateries within a mile or two. We had no problem Uberering everywhere during our stay. The Kamaole Beach across the street has sea turtles all over! Beautiful view of the pool and peekaboo view of the ocean from the lanai. We would love to come back and visit Kamaole Sands again!

Wonderful stay, would come again
We absolutely loved this place! It was so clean and neat, came with amazing amenities and was pretty much as advertised. (Bear in mind the additional fee you will pay upon check-in and if you have a car, you'll need to register it with the front office.) We really loved the view from the terrace and the property itself. The murphy bed in the living room was extremely comfortable to sleep on all week and easy to put away. We enjoyed the speakers that were available for our phones. TV worked great in both rooms, as did the AC. Take advantage of the laundry in unit! And note that you do need to recycle (on the ground floor). You will need to buy your own drinking water as the apartment did not appear to come with any, but ice was available, which was helpful. The apartment is sort of an uphill trek from the beach/main road on foot, but the grounds are so stunning as long as you avoid peak sun hours it's pleasant. If you have a car, it's a lot more convenient to drive through the side gate and park right by the unit. But Kihei is still doable on foot. Would love to stay here the next time we're in Maui!

Very nice vacation rental. Clean, easy to access, the lanai overlooks nicely kept resort grounds. This unit had the best complement of beach gear out of several at which we have stayed. Definitely recommended!

Quiet, nice condo right on the beach
We very much enjoyed our stay. It has quick access to the beach and a couple of really good local restaurants within walking distance. We found the pool to be very nice and clean and the concierge service with the presentation was great. Marc helped us plan some activities and we enjoyed finding out all the activities available. We would gladly return to this location!

Dissappointed with condo Kamaole Sands
The condo was dirty, carpet in living room, throw rug in kitchen filthy top and bottom and backing coming off, tile floors, some dishes and flatware, handle on sliding door needs repair, sheets on bed worn, so thin that the bottom sheet was torn in two places, picture fell off wall and woke us up. The picture hanger had been repaired with tape at some point but the tape looks old like it had been there for a long time. The toilets, oven, stove, refrigerator, and microwave were all clean. I scrubbed the tile floor around the rugs and the water was black and sandy. I have pictures of some issues but not the dirty scrub water. Over all a very disappointing stay in the condo.

Property had everything needed to enjoy relaxing vaca
We vacation on Maui at least twice a year and always stay in Kihei. The condo was clean and had everything you need including chairs, towels and boogie boards which is a plus because renting them can get expensive. We typically eat breakfast and dinner in and the condo had everything I needed kitchen wise to make this happen. The property was quiet with clean amenities, right across from the beach and close to restaurants. All and all enjoyed our stay.

outstanding, home away from home feel
a gorgeous unit. with everything you can possibly need provided. safe for food and drinks. Location kept it from getting to warm and on the end meant no traffic back and forth. Audrey and Roy were very helpful and accomodating. and a pleasure. I will return to Kamaole Sands again. and hope this unit will be available when i do.

Great Central Location on the island & within the Complex
Kihei is a great central location on the island; lots of amenities walkable nearby from Kameole Sands Complex; right across from a great beach Kameole 3; the condo is in perfect location within the complex, with pool view, away from noisy street; Pool area closes at 10pm sharp, so very quiet after that time; The lanai is quite private in Bldg. 5; other decks in other buildings not so much because of the 'offset' style and how the condos are 'stepped' (look at the online pictures of the resort and you will see what i mean). The condo provided all that we needed with regard to linens and kitchens things as we cooked most of the time. Umbrella, beach chairs, boogie boards, cooler, and beach towels all provided which was really convenient. The air conditioner is a unit in the wall attached to the living room, vented outside to the lanai. Keeps the main area cool. There are 2 full bathrooms, one is an ensuite, and washer and dryer in the unit. The bed in the bedroom is a queen and the sofa pulls out as well . The lanai has a table and chairs for 4 people. This is an end unit which is nice for privacy, and more light. The owners were quick to reply with a minor issue, and great value for what we paid per night. We had a great stay! Miss it already....

50th Birthday on Maui
We truly enjoyed our stay at Roy and Audrey's condo. To step out onto the Lanai each morning with our coffee and enjoy the birds singing and feel the tropical air while sipping our coffee was paradise. Their condo is comfortable and has everything you need for home and the beach. We enjoyed having an end unit as well. Thank you Roy and Audrey.

An excellent end to our Hawaiin adventure
After a week on Kauia at two high-end resorts, and a quick stop at a small B&B in Hana, we settled into this Kamaole Sands unit for 5 nights. It turned out great--the apartment had everything one could want, Roy and Audrey offered a lot of great advice, and the complex is very well-maintained. We appreciated the nice pool and hot tub options, even though the beach was a short walk/drive (we drove just because we tended to take too much junk but we could have walked) Kamaole 3 beach wasn't quite as calm as many said but it was winter and huge swells were hitting the rest of maui, so the small waves weren't too much trouble. But for very small kids, the pool or nearby beaches may be better choices. We grilled stakes one night on the available Weber BBQs, and had tons of restaurant options in driving or walking distance. The new maur brewing company taphouse was a 10 minute drive and our favorite--they usually have food trucks, plus 30+ beers! lots of folks were regulars at the Sands--many from Canada--and i can see why they return. It's not a fancy resort but a very good value in a nice, casual part of Maui.

We were lucky to find this condo in Kihei. The unt is nice and roomy, The kitchen is fully equipped with everything. The complex is acoss the street from the beach on and this unit is at the back The deck has a nice view of and is very handy to the pool. The owners were very helpful and accomadating.

I had a wonderful time in Maui. This property is very lovely-the lanai overlooks the pool. The lanai is a great place to enjoy breakfast early in the morning. The condo is very comfortable and nicely decorated and supplied with every kitchen item imaginable. Also, there is a lot of equipment for the beach including beach chairs, boogie boards, etc. I would recommend this property to anyone.

Lovely, fully-equipped unit
We had a great experience in Maui and greatly appreciated the time we spent in this condo unit. The kitchen is fully loaded with everything you need + basic spices, cling wrap, coffee filters, etc. - just made things easier to have that stuff already around.
Balcony was peaceful. Really liked the variety of games, CDS and DVDs that were already in the unit.
The unit doesn't get a lot of direct sunlight - so it remains relatively cool without air-conditioning (we didn't turn it on at all when we were around). For those who like a very bright sunny space, this condo is relatively dark ... depends on preference really.

Perfect Island Getaway
This condo is exactly as represented. The owners are super easy to work with and offered endless suggestions for things to do and see on the island! Location is good and accessed easily. There are several great beaches within walking distance. The unit is clean and well appointed. We found all of the basics we needed furnished in the unit. It was a vacation we won't soon forget!

We stayed at this condo for 12 nights and quite enjoyed it. The description of the property is very accurate – a condo is very clean and well maintained. Because this is an end unit, it is very quiet and private – no elevator traffic and noise associated with it. The condo is well equipped with everything we needed during our stay and the owners were very helpful in advising us how to rent a car and what to do in Maui. We will definitely rent this condo if we go to Maui again.

Family Holiday and Wedding
We loved the condo. We had family staying in about 6 different units in Kamaole Sands and we loved our unit the best. There was just a peak of the ocean but the view of the central gardens was beautiful and quiet. Well furnished, kitchen stocked , beds comfortable and a lovely breeze with just the front door and patio door open. Great beach and family park just across the street, lots of well priced restaurants within walking distance. Kamaole Sands had beautiful landscaping and great BQ's that we used often. Everything is well maintained. We stayed about 11 days then went to another place on the water we wished we had booked all three weeks in your condo. We hope to return.

Clean, comfortable and well equiped !
This condo is ideal for those wanting a comfortable stay. The kitchen has absolutely everything one could need to prepare just about anything - the condo location is so convenient to 2 grocery stores. South Kihei is a great area with super nice beaches and people. The lanai is quiet and peaceful and very enjoyable for morning coffee. The owner's are very helpful and truly care that the people that stay at their place have a good time. The unit is well stocked with beach things. This is great to have to not lug all the way from Canada ! The decor is very suited to a condo on Maui - and gives this unit a special edge. The complex is quite large - yet everyone is friendly and the grounds are immaculate. We enjoyed our second get away to Maui this year at this condo and look forward to returning again.
