About this house rental
Dream getaway cabin/house with incredible views close to the best Arizona has to offer. The 3 acre property borders the Kaibab National Forest and is home to the highest remaining density and distribution of old growth ponderosa pines in the Southwest. A gorgeous view of the San Francisco Peaks and Snowbowl is seen from the front deck and living room and a perfect view of Mt. Kendrick from the yard. This high-country retreat is fully connected with wi-fi, direct -TV with HBO, SHOWTIME, CINEMAX on a large flat screen tv, and cell-phone reception on Verizon or forward your calls to the land line. Peace, quiet and solitude is built-in or take a short drive to: Flagstaff (30min) with it’s great college-town vibe, shopping and nightlife; Sedona (45min) with the stunning beauty of the red rocks, Oak Creek and art galleries; or Williams, (30min) the gateway to the Grand Canyon with it’s old-school Route 66 charm. Just minutes off of I-40 and only 1 hour to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, glimpses of which can be seen up a hill a 10 min hike from the front door.
The house has a huge king size bed in the lower main bedroom and a queen in the upstairs loft. There is cushy queen blow up mattress for extra sleepers. There are 2 full private bathrooms one upstairs and one down. The kitchen is really nice, relaxing to cook in and fully stocked with everything a home chef would desire. Toss a ball with your kids in the yard or sprawl out on the comfortable southwest furniture in front of the wood-burning stove and enjoy the view. Cozy and romantic yet spacious enough for 2+ couples or a size-able family.
Nature is poetry here. Fields of wildflowers in the summer and magical snow in the winter. The wildlife is bountiful: herds of elk and mule deer are seen roaming the meadows most every evening. It is a birders paradise- one afternoon brought 17 different birds to the feeder. Some of Arizona’s best day hikes are a short drive away. There are many things to do in the area including the Historic Grand Canyon Railway, Bearizona, the Grand Canyon Deer Farm, Snow Bowl, Lowell Observatory, N. Arizona Nordic Center, Elk Ridge Sledding Area, Sedona Pink Jeep Tours and a lot more. Stay here and unwind with the fresh mountain air and spectacular views or make it an exceptional base camp for fun and adventure!

The cabin backs up to National Park land giving lots of options for hikes and wildlife viewing. The cabin was cute, well kept and well-stocked. There are neighbors but the neighborhood is quiet.

Very comfortable house with a very workable kitchen and nice outdoor spaces. Very quiet!

The day before host called and said 6 adults will be tight. And there maybe an air mattress in closet.
We made it work but no air mattress and we woke up to no water.

I stayed at the property with my two daughters (17 & 20) and our two dogs. It is in a beautiful setting but close to Flagstaff, WIlliams, and the Grand Canyon. The cottage was well stocked with linens and cooking tools. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and plan to come back next year!

My son and grandson and I were on an elk hunting trip. The property was a perfect perfect location for us smack dab in the middle of our hunt unit. The cabin was well stocked and had everything we needed. We had a great time there. Thank you for everything.

A pleasant place to stay in a rural Arizona forest. The house is nice, the neighborhood quiet and the country beautiful. Couldn't ask for more.

It was a great place. Very close to Williams and about an hour or so from the Grand Canyon. It took us 2.5 hours to get to the Phoenix Airport. The house is just as it appears and have everything we needed. The property owner could have responded to requests a little quicker but other than that the check in went very smoothly.

We had a very nice stay in Parks. The cabin is very cozy and comfortable. Travelling around the high country of AZ was very convenient from this location. Don't hesitate to book if you like a rural and quiet setting. Peter is also very helpful and responsive.

Very peaceful setting only 1.5 hours from the Grand Canyon south rim!
We absolutely LOVED this home! Our family of five stayed there while visiting the Grand Canyon, and it was the perfect place to relax after hiking. The home is in a remote area with beautiful views. We couldn't get over how quiet it was there! It is a unique house and my kids loved sleeping in the loft area. Definitely recommend this home!

Great cabin! Everything you need.
There were issues with communication in the check in process, so that set us back on our visit but we were offered an extra night to help make up the missed time. Everything was clean, nice and had everything needed in case you just stayed at the cabin. We were gone during the days, out sightseeing and had a wonderful time. The little red country store just off I-40 had farm fresh eggs available for your breakfast. I highly recommend this cabin and Mr. Scafaru was a great host.

Grand Canyon 2 couples trip
We stayed 3 nights and drove two different days to the Grand Canyon, approximately an hour 1/2 away. The property is a rual area west of Flagstaff. Lots of trees and a few homes. Nicely stocked, very clean and comfortable. Nice quiet area with nice space to sit outside. 2nd bedroom and bath is in an upstairs loft. We had a wonderful stay.

Gorgeous location, walk from house to the forest! Excellent housekeeping
Three items I wish I'd known: very, very limited cell service (Verizon & ATT) that required wifi assist while standing in the correct location in the house to place a call (there are landline phones), very limited internet service and all of the water is trucked to the property. The water went out on the 2nd day of our 6 night trip, during a shower. We were given the number to call if this occurred and the water man was very nice and responsive. It seems like the water shouldn't have been depleted on our 2nd day (especially without a warning). Perhaps a gauge could be installed? To avoid our unpleasant experience, I'm sure other renters would be willing to check the water level and call in advance of it simply turning off mid-use. The housekeeper does amazing work cleaning the house; it's well stocked and a joy to stay in. The water was a problem and I wouldn't stay again without being able to determine the amount of available water.

Beautiful remote area 🤩
We loved this cabin! Very comfortable and well maintained! There was snow when we arrived so the wood stove was perfect, beds were comfortable as well as the living room furniture . The multiple outside sitting were really nice I definitely liked the one closest to the wooded park area,,, we watched some pretty amazing sun rises around the mountains. Nice hiking right in the backyard so great for us & our dogs! We really loved our time here!!!

Incredible nite skies!!!
We really loved this place. It was near some really good hiking trails and close to the town of Williams. I’m just stopping as great places are ruined by lots of people and I want this place to stay the same!!!

We had a nice stay in the middle of the pines. It was great to get out of the Phoenix heat and this was the perfect place to relax.

Amazing location
If you want to get away from the populated areas, this is a great location that isn't that far from the Grand Canyon. Only complaint was that there were numerous moths in it when we checked in. My daughter didn't think much of them. They were disposed of and we enjoyed our stay. Thanks!

Outstanding location with GORGEOUS views!
What a wonderful stay at this home !! The location was very easy to find. Communication with the host was very quick in response, and fantastic all around. The instructions were clear, and the house was immaculate.
What we most appreciated were the little things within the house that you might not be bringing with you - basic items such as spices, plastic wrap, trash bags, even laundry detergent were available. This made cooking here a joy and a breeze!
The beds were comfortable, and all accommodations within the house were clean, modern, attractive, and convenient.
The views were just spectacular, and while the location felt remote and private it was just the right amount. Distant neighbors were near-ish, and did not interfere in any way with the beautiful quiet and calm.
Watching the sunrise was amazing, and the exterior table made it feel so comfortable and welcoming.
We HIGHLY recommend this host and this home to anyone wanting to get a REAL feel for the area. It was absolutely outstanding from every moment and every angle.

Relaxing in Nature
Enjoyed staying here. Every morning heading out off the back deck for a hike with our dog. Adult beverages on the deck in the evening and watching elk graze off In the surrounding area. The place had everything we needed.

Cabin Getaway
Everything we needed was available to us at the property. The views from the back deck were gorgeous. We visited the Grand Canyon and Sedona during our stay which were both a little over an hour drive. This was a great place to stay to get away from it all!

Good comfortable stay
The location was great - quiet area with great views. The cabin was comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. Nice to have 2 bathrooms with multiple groups of people, good size common area. In need of hand towels and wash clothes along with some extra cleaning in the "corners".

Beautiful but few issues with the house.
Nature was very beautiful and rural. House was comfy but downstairs shower was broken (shower head) so you cant really use it. Propane tank was empty even the spare one under the porch was empty as well so we couldnt use it. The charcoal left outside was moist so we had a hard time using the other small grill. Other than that this place was nice.

Nice place but too far from the Grand Canyon, South Rim.
Nice place but too far from the Grand Canyon, South Rim. With the amount of house rental per night, garage wasn't included. We had to pay $5/bag.

Amazing quiet getaway would definitely return
Absolutely beautiful setting tucked away in quiet community, accessed via well-maintained dirt roads. Perfect change of scenery and holiday setting. Home's kitchen probably the more well-stocked of any rental we've stayed in.

Hunting trip
All went well , thanks

Our stay was good , we were hunting elk , and we filled all of our tags
All in all , the trip went great . The only issue we had was with the neighbor . We accidentally pulled onto his property when we first arrived , and this guy freaked out before we even had a chance to apologize . I mean cussing and calling us names , this guy was a real prize , he's lucky we are all good guys , it was very difficult not to lay him out . If you ever rent this property , pay very close attention to the property line so this doesn't happen to you .

Beautiful Cabin with Stunning views
This cabin was beautiful inside and out. The cabin itself was very clean and the owners made themselves available in case of any issues (which there were none!) All the amenities that we needed/preferred were provided. The views of the mountains from the porch were stunning. At night, be sure to go outside and star gaze! The sky was astounding with how clear it was with countless stars and shooting stars. Definitely would recommend to someone looking to get away for the week/ weekend.
