Vicenza is the Home of the famous architect PALLADIO, where you can visit many of his Villas.Located near the beautiful Colli Berici and only 10 min. from the Fair. You can use it as a base to travel around the gorgeous cities of the Veneto region. We are minutes away from La Rotonda, one of the most important villa of Palladio. In few minutes you are at Caserma Ederle, one of the USA installation in Italy and in 10-15 min. you can reach the down town area.
From here you can also go to some of the most famous town with castles and Villas . Just to name some, we can start with Bassano del Grappa.
The most famous view of Bassano del Grappa is of its principal landmark, the Ponte degli Alpini, also known as the Ponte Vecchio ('Old Bridge'). This covered wooden bridge over the broad Brenta river was designed by Andrea Palladio in 1569 to replace earlier incarnations. The use of wood helps the structure to cope with the onslaught of flooding as melted snow rushes down from the mountains.
Castelfranco Veneto. The town has a small historic core which is surrounded by high defensive walls. It's an attractive place to wander for an hour, and has a few sights which tourists can visit. There's not enough here for a full day out, but it combines well with other villas and towns nearby to make part of an interesting itinerary. The public transport links are good, so you can explore the area without a car.
Noale with a beautiful castle; Marostica: It is a picturesque place, located with the Veneto plain on one side and green hills to the north. Marostica's own hill is crowned with a large ruined castle; defensive walls descend to enclose the hillside and the town centre below in a protective embrace.
Marostica bills itself as the 'City of Chess': every two years a medieval-themed festival is held here, when a giant chess game is enacted with human chess-pieces. This takes place in the town square, Piazza del Castello, where the paving marks out a huge chessboard
where they have the live chess tournament
Asiago in the Alps; Montagnana with the nice castle very well kept.
Montagnana is situated on the southern plain of Padua, between the Euganean Hills. The city owes its international fame to the surrounding wall built between the XII and XIV centuries, but the most ancient settlements in the territory are documented by archaeological finds dating to the end of the IV, beginning of the III millennium B.C. In 136 the Carraresi, nobles of Padua, completed, with the fortress of the Trees, the walls that are almost two kilometres long and which are perfectly preserved
In about 40 min. you can get to Montecchio Maggiore. The real roots of Romeo and Juliet might be in Montecchio Maggiore, because the history of the famous lovers apparently has its origins here. Surrounded by green, the remains of two powerful Scaliger castles from the 14th century tower in the air over the small town. The nobleman Luigi da Porta from Vicenza, who was recovering from severe injuries from a battle in the town, was inspired by the two castles and wrote the story of Romeo and Juliet. This then neglected love story was later picked up by William Shakespeare who adapted it and helped the lovers achieve unexpected fame worldwide.
We are surrounded by good food , trattorie, restorants everywere with home made meals typical from the region and if you like to shop we have minutes away 2 big malls and one of the biggest open market in Camisano Vicentino. If you are looking for ceramic in Nove you can find anything you want. Visitors from all over the world come to Nove, to shop in the more than 100 ceramics stores in the tiny town. Known from some of the best handcrafted ceramics in all of Italy, you can find the works in many US stores such as Williams-Sonoma, Tiffany’s, Lenox, and Macy’s.
Asolo:
This is a serene place where the architecture of porticos, Gothic arcades, mullioned and trefoiled windows, lovely balconies, and old buildings and houses with facades decorated with frescos all add to its magic.

Lovely Bed and Breakfast with a Gracious Host
Luisa is a lovely and gracious host. She pays particular attention to the rooms, as well as the morning breakfast. This is a labor of love. The rooms are very nice, comfortable, and well coordinated.

Quiet stay in the country.
We really enjoyed staying here. We had a seperate 3 bedroom house with 2 1/2 baths which was brand new. You need a car because its not really walking distance to resturants or stores, but conveniently located to the major highways and an easy drive into Vicenza. Our hosts were very welcoming and friendly. We will definately stay here again when we visit Vicenza.

Mum's B&B is a priceless hidden gem! I loved every minute from check in to check out!
Lucia was amazing! So welcoming and sweet! Her B&B is so beautifuly decorated, clean and comfortable! The rooms all have their own bathroom and soft towels. The bedrooms are just beautiful! The furniture is so beautiful and each room is unique in style. The bed linens were so soft and the beds were very comfortable! It would be perfect for a romantic getaway or family tour in one of Italy's hidden gems!
The location is easy to find and well marked, parking is available and free! I stayed just 1 night with my family and I didn't want to leave! I wish we could have stayed longer! They were so accommodating for my family and were so sweet to my children! It was like going home to visit family!
They offer so many amenities and the breakfast was amazing! We enjoyed real Italian coffee and pastries! Lucia even made the most delicious scrambled eggs and homemade cinnamon bread! You can just feel how much thought and care she puts into her B&B, making even a one night stay so memorable and relaxing! It is also in a beautiful area! We woke up with a beautiful view of the mountains! I truly can't say enough about what a wonderful experience we had! I would love to stay here again and highly recommend to anyone.

staying 7 nights in Italian hospitality - fam. Gevaerts-Lambrechts
The location of the house is ideal for both visiting the beautifull cultural cities Vicenza, Verona, Padova, Venice and for visiting the garda lake as well. The house is very near the autostrada, so you have immediate acces to it to plan your trips in an efficient way. As a result, you will need a car to go shopping for food and to go eat at night, but it is only a 5 to 10 min drive. Because the house is not in the town itself, this has as a benefit that it has a quiet environment.
We rented the place for 7 nights, with 6 persons. This made that all chambers (3) of the B&B (which are located on the first floor, accesible through a side entrace with stairs ( so no passing through the personal living facilities of the owners is required) were rented to us. 1 of the chambers has a kitchinette and a table to eat. However, since we rented the complete B&B, we were allowed to sit in the garden patio to have our meals, which was very comfortable and nice.
But the real exceptional part about this house are the owners itself, Giorgio and Luisa, who give you the feeling your staying with friends or family. 1 night Georgio made dinner for us and the last night we had a combined meal all together, which was a memorial evening.
If you need a good location to visit north-italy, the place is real good, but if on top of that you want to have the experience of real Italian hospitality, this place is superb.

Thank god our first lodging choice was closed for Christmas because finding this absolute gem of a BnB was by far the best choice. From the first minute we walked through the door the proprietors, Giorgio and Luisa, made us feel utterly welcome and part of their family.
We rented two rooms for our family of four and were absolutely amazed by the comfort and amenities of both rooms. The house is only about two years old so everything is very up to date. One of the rooms had a Queen bed and private bath and the other room had a King bed, a balcony, a kitchenette, and shared a common bath. Both bathrooms were very clean and nicely done.
Since it was winter we didn't get to fully enjoy the outside amenities which included a hot tub, garden and open air porch. Giorgio has four Weber grills which we did put to good use.
If you are visiting or have temporary duty at Camp Ederle, the house is only 8-10 minutes from the base and an easy drive if you need to visit the commissary or PX.
An added surprise was that Giorgio and Luisa invited us to spend Christmas dinner with their extended family and did so with open arms!
We have never had a lodging experience quite like this one and we would absolutely return in a heartbeat.
