The property worked out well for a retired couple with a daughter and two grandsons. Lots of room and a well stocked kitchen for some cooking in house.
Nice location tucked in the woods.
Would easily stay here again if opportunity arises.

We've stayed in a number of VRBO's over the years. Some have been outstanding others I'll never go back to. This one needs some work.
It is in a great location in Cooper Landing. Any questions I had about the property were answered quickly. The bedrooms were good size and the kitchen was well stocked with all that you would need. However, when we arrived there were a number of windows open and it was about 56 degrees in the house. I turned on the heat which is radiant floor heating which takes a while. Well, after 3 hours I contacted the owner to come over and check his system Something was broken so he brought over 2 electric space heaters. The heat should have been turned on and the windows closed so the place was warm when we arrived. As others have said the bed in the master squeaks and there are no blackout shades. I brought all this up to the owner. He said that all of these things were going to be addressed and should be fixed soon. As soon as these things are addressed I think this will be a great place.

Robb is a great host with clear check-in instructions. Clean house, nice decor, updated kitchen and bathrooms. Will definitely come back.

Need black out shades in bedrooms
Not a deal breaker but coming from lower 48 and traveling to the land of midnight sun, black out shades our drapes would have been nice.

Great location for float fishing trips
This house sits in the woods just minutes from the float fishing launch. The fishing guides picked us up at the end of the driveway - so convenient!
This house was VERY clean and the bedding and towels are high quality.
The dining table seats six and the kitchen appliances are nice. We cooked our meals while we stayed. There is a terrific outdoor grill if you want to cook your fish.
I would definitely stay here again between September and April.
A few things to consider that may be negatives for you:
1. no black out blinds in the bedrooms and lots of windows. If you stay between May 1 and September 1 that means your bedroom will never be dark. Bring eye shades.
2. poor lighting - this will not be an issue if you stay between May 1 and Sept 1 as it won't be dark out. We wanted to sit and read or knit in the living room, but there are no lamps. Also very few bedside lamps so bring an e-reader or book light if you want to read in bed between September and April.
3. no wine glasses.
4. no towel racks or hooks in the upstairs bathroom.
5. The bed in the master bedroom is squeaky - the people who slept in it ended up wearing ear plugs to bed.
6. there are dogs wandering around the neighborhood, so watch your step (dog poops). The dogs are very friendly.
7. I had to text for check-in instructions - they didn't come automatically through VRBO. Check in is VERY easy, but if you don't get the instructions, just text. The owner replied within a few minutes.

Awesome place to stay! Will stay again!
One of the nicest cabins I’ve stayed at while fly fishing the kenai. I’ll be back for another stay! Comfortable beds, and a great gathering space!

Great Spot
We had a great stay in Cooper Landing at Bear's place. The location is super convenient for fishing on the Kenai and things to do in Seward. Everything was clean and comfortable and the house was well stocked. We had no problem preparing meals in the house. We loved the big windows to see out in all directions to enjoy the beauty of the area. Plenty of beds for everybody in our group however a few were a bit soft for our liking (queen). One other thing to mention is the blinds in the bedrooms don't make it pitch black so if you are sensitive to light you may want a mask or something to help you sleep at night. Not an issue for us. Thanks for sharing your Alaska home with us!

Amazing Home with Mountain Views
We had a wonderful stay at this home. We were a group of 6 adults (3 couples) and there was plenty of room. The house was very clean and well equipped, and was even more beautiful than in the photos. You can hike to Juneau Falls from the property. The owner, Robb, let us meet his sled dogs and showed us around his facility. It is an hour drive to Seward. Check-in and out was easy, and the place was spotlessly clean. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this house to others.

Comfortable stay
But for some need for weed control around the back door, and a person walking through the property in early morning, this property is in a perfect location for day travel to Seward or Homer, and was a comfortable stay for our party of 6.

Favorite Place
This may have been our favorite VRBO. We loved the big windows and beautiful bathrooms, and the beds were comfy. Location is convenient yet quiet. Robb is a great guy and introduced us to the sled dogs. A wonderful experience!

Cooper Landing retreat
Had a great time there and house was perfect.
There wasn't a lot of contact with the owner but he was available if needed. He pretty much left us to ourselves which was fine with everyone.
We all wish the best for the property/and owner as a wildfire was approaching when we left. Hope to be back to Cooper Landing next yer.

Lovely property
This was a lovely property—very comfortable for six people. The only issue was that many of the blinds weren’t working properly and it stayed light very late! Otherwise, highly recommended.

A comfortable place in a beautiful setting with accommodating hosts. We enjoyed the beds, the warm showers, and the excellent kitchen facilities. It is a lovely place to stay and a great spot from which to explore the Kenai Peninsula. Thank you for your hospitality!

Wonderful house. Just as described.
This house was just as described and exactly what we expected. Owners were very prompt in answering questions. I asked about a cooler and they had one waiting there for us. Beautiful secluded property. Just an fyi there are dogs on the property. Very friendly dogs that just hung out on the awesome deck with us.

Exceeded our Expectations
Our recent stay at this fully equipped home in Cooper Landing exceeded our expectations. The house was exactly as described in the VRBO listing, featuring a fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, newer washer & dryer, comfortable beds in all 3) bedrooms and 2 full baths. There was even a 4th bed upstairs for bigger groups and the wooded setting was quiet and private. As we had been getting up very early to go salmon fishing for several days it was especially nice to be able sleep in and relax a bit, it even had 2) comfortable recliners which we took full advantage of! This home was conveniently located, with many hikes within easy driving distance and several restaurants were close and better than expected.
We met the owner who lives near-by and he provided us with several recommendations for hikes and restaurants, and even introduced us to his sled dog team which we enjoyed a great deal. This was a great place to spend our last 4 days in Alaska, and we will return again.

An Alaskan experience
We had a wonderful experience with Robb during stay in coopers landing. The house located very close to Prince Williams Resort we didn't know this until leaving, if you stay you can find a restaurant over there. The house located in the wood, inside is bright and airy, and lightly decorated. Clean and efficient. Robb is raising a pack of sledding dogs. Most of them are kept in their own house away from the property sperared by a creek and not visible or noticeable. But there are tree home dogs unleashed between properties. They are very friendly and each of them has story leaving to you to find out if you talk to Robb. Visiting these dogs makes the stay a real Alaskan experience.
