The house was great overall
It was really hot when we arrived, and it took until morning to cool it off even with all the windows open
We were unable to use the loft bed due to it being so warm up there
Some fans would be nice in the rooms
Otherwise, it was great- great location and it had the rooms and space that we needed for my 4 kids and I
Cozy little cabin

Cute little cabin. Very simple but lots of sleeping space. Close to Greenwater for food and drinks. Bring your DVDs. Internet is slow.

We had a great weekend up at Crystal during the day and cozying up at Wayne’s place in the evenings. It was clean, comfy and room for everyone! This place would be great for any winter or summer mountain activities!

Great place to stay for ski days at Crystal Mt.

Skied all weekend and worked perfect for a family of 5.

The cabin was cozy and great to spend the holiday. The only thing that was annoying was that the wifi is very slow.

Older property but clean. Quiet neighborhood and close to Mount Rainier's Sunrise area. Lots of beds compared to the size, great place if just looking for lodging to sleep.

Well maintained property perfect for a solo escape into the woods.

Bigger than expected, clean, comfy Aframe cabin close to Crystal. Could use some TLC and updating but location less than 30min to the ski hill was great.

We love staying at this sweet little a-frame. Perfect location for trips into Rainier NP in the summer and Crystal Mountain in the winter. Highly recommend.

We had a nice stay. We saw elk moving thru in the morning. However, it is in a development with neighbors close by. There is an easy access to the White River.
The cabin itself needs some TLC. There were burnt out lights throughout. As well as broken fixtures . The carpet in the downstairs bedroom was held down with duct tape. Most of the bedrooms were up the spiral stairs. Both of the bathrooms were downstairs. There is no dishwasher so prepare to wash dishes by hand.
There were multiple cobwebs throughout.
It is more suited for a ski getaway than a family trip.
We did enjoy the quiet nights and clean air.

As others mention, the place could use some updates/finishes, but there’s lots of sleeping space and it has all the necessities. The greatest asset is the location!
3.0 / 5.0
We had a good stay, but the place could use some upkeep and upgrades like better lighting and a dishwasher. We have small kids and the spiral staircase proved to be a bit of a safety hazard. The layout is a bit odd so even though it has plenty of bedrooms, I think it is best for a single family’s use. I can’t think of sharing this small space with another family.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lovely cabin in the woods. It is very cozy and comfortable and was more spacious than we thought it would be for an A-frame. You can even stand up in the loft! The beds are very comfortable, nice towels, great water pressure, fully stocked kitchen. Cabin could use a little TLC (such as replacing lightbulbs) but overall we were very satisfied with this affordable cabin in a good location for access to Crystal Mountain and Mount Rainier National Park which are about a 20-30 minutes drive.

The cabin was as advertised. There were quite a few cobwebs and there were insect poisons out at the edge of the deck that we had to keep the kids and dog away from. Other than that, it was a great stay.

The kids had a great time on the spiral staircase and loft! We enjoyed the spaciousness and being in the woods. Kitchen and baths good, maybe add wine glasses. King bed a little firm for us, maybe a memory foam topper to add to the superb silence! Thanks so much, we would stay there again!

House is cute and unique - lots of bedrooms and relatively close to Sunrise. Very quiet location. Our ten-year-old loved sleeping in the top bedroom and was sad leaving the “triangle house.”

Functionally Fine
This property has an amazing location, both to hikes near the Sunrise entrance of Mount Rainier and within the community, with a kids' playground and trails to the beautiful river a short walk away. Location is ideal. (I highly recommend the gondola ride at Crystal Mountain.)
The cabin had basic supplies of all necessities, and was clean when we arrived. One person arrived early, saw the horrible mess the previous renters made, and saw the cleaning crew working hard. You'd never know it was trashed when we checked in.
The beds were fine as far of comfort and linens, but the entire home could use a significant update, as other renters noted. There were dead bugs on most windowsills, peeling paint, chips in walls, and older towel linens and kitchen equipment. Lots of duct tape holding all kinds of things together- toilet, carpets, etc.
The wifi router has had a factory reset at some point, and the owners haven't updated the posted password, which is why previous renters complained of no wifi. To connect to the wifi, use the QR code on the router and you'll be fine. It's a slow connection, but gets the job done.
This is far from luxury, but functioned fine for our short stay.

Not bad, but needs more care
Overall we had a good time. Internet as others mentioned still didnt work. Lighting in the main room wasnt working right. Most of the drawers you would use to store your clothes were taken by linens...nothing outside like a fire pit or even a chair on the patio to enjoy. Heaters in bathroom up front didnt work...no biggie...the open hot water tank in back with shower pretty unsightly...back poop window no dice on opening properly. Old appliances. Needs some maintenance and upgrades.
Now the good...decent location, not far from river and local trail. 25 min to Crystal nice front deck. Cool room layout extra mini loft was fun. Roomy. Fairly clean....not bad but again needs some attention.

Maximized sleeping space!
This house is truly dialed in. Lots of beds and sleeping space! We comfortably slept 8 adults here for 3 nights. It was an amazing cabin weekend! Easy check in, cozy, and beautiful location.

Unfortunately couldn’t stay
We packed up our 3 young children, drove 2 hours to arrive to the cabin that had no power. The owners admitted to knowing that the power had been out for a few days and didn’t bother telling us. We then had to turn around and drive all the way home. So inconsiderate. The owner then texted me the next day a rude message that we had left the fireplace on. The fireplace was on when we arrived. Unfortunately this was a VERY disappointing weekend!

Wonderful Cabin
Our group had a wonderful time at the cabin. It was very well appointed and surprisingly spacious! The gas stove keeps the place very snug and we found the space to be the perfect place to relax after a day on the slopes. We look forward to coming back!

Nice cabin
Nice clean cabin, good location for sightseeing. The only downfall was we lost power our last night. It sounds like this is a common occurrence in the area, it would have been nice if there were some flashlights or lanterns handy. Other than that i would stay here again.

Great base to explore Mt Rainier
Close to the Crystal Mountain gondola, and we really liked walking on the trail by the river. Wi-fi worked after we found the router (2nd floor bedside table) and turned it off and on. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place.

Nice & well provided, bathrooms all on main floor.
Overall, our experience was quite good. One of us even saw a herd of 8 elk in August! We would recommend this location to others, provided they are aware of a couple accessibility limitations. The listing is accurate, but incomplete. We didn't realize both bathrooms were on the floor with only one bedroom. So some folks (over 75 yrs old) needed to traverse the creaky spiral staircase during the night. Also we didn't anticipate the single step between the living/dining area and the rest of the main floor. This was a challenge for our visually impaired family member, but typically would not be a problem. Next time we include this person, we'll inquire about accessibility. The instructions for checking in an out were clear and worked perfectly, even though there was a mismatch with the number of keys actually present. The owner responded within minutes to an inquiry about them, as he did with previous inquiries. The kitchen was clean and well stocked with supplies and cooking equipment. Eating breakfast on the front deck was lovely. The bathrooms were just as described, but could use more places to hang towels. The place was better than this review from a chronic debriefer sounds...we are glad to have stayed here.

Great location for us
We had a great stay. We visited sunrise visitor at Mt. Rainier and Crystal mountain so this was a good location. Nice accomadations. The coffee pot and coffee was very much appreciated as we forgot ours. We cooked a few meals and all the pans and dishes were provided. We enjoyed the games and TV service.

Cute Cabin
This cabin was in a great location for MRNP - bonus for it being in the shade of the trees during the heat wave! The river is just a 5 minute walk from the house and there is a little beach to relax on. Technically this home sleeps more than 4, but I personally wouldn't bring more than that. There's seating for 4 at the kitchen table and you can put 3 adults on the couch and 1 in the chair for sitting around. The deck outside is super nice and the picnic table with umbrella is a great touch! :-)

Wonderful Place
We enjoyed the the A-Frame house so much. The space was perfect with a great kitchen comfortable beds and a super living area to gather. We always like to watch movies and play games when on vacation and this place provided both and popcorn too. Enjoyed going for a walk along the river trail starting right across the street. Would recommend to friends.

Great A Frame Cabin!
Great get away near Mt. Rainier. Beds were comfortable, and everything we needed was at hand. Four young elk came to nibble around the cabin one morning, and an amazing moth hung out near the light one night. Enchanting!

Loved it! Such a cute little house!
It was a little house but there was so many sleeping areas! The only thing was it was a hot day and very stuffy Inside. There isn't AC and we didn't see any fans - although maybe they were they and we just didn't find them. But we loved this bouse so much we hope to remodel a little cottage we have back near bome into an A frame exactly like this one!!!!

What a charming spot!
We found the chalet comfortable, with a well equipped kitchen and good beds. And the proximity to spectacular views of My. Rainier -- wow! We took a great little hike to an amazing viewpoint. All in all, we had a great time.
