ABOUT PINK PEARL ISLAND

Pink Pearl Island is a 2.5 acre private tropical Caribbean island, located approximately 3 miles from mainland off of the Atlantic Coast of Nicaragua, Central America. The island is surrounded with turquoise water and powder white sand. Its coconut trees and native fauna are protected from high seas by surrounding reefs and outlying islands.

This Caribbean coast of Nicaragua is often referred to as 'the undiscovered Caribbean' and the country as a whole 'the next Costa-Rica' with great investment opportunities.

Pink Pearl Island is situated among a group of coral islands, which have to be the most attractive, desirable destination in Nicaragua.
The sparkling blue ocean is scuba virgin water with pristine reefs, making it an ideal location for diving and snorkeling.

Pink Pearl Island is currently mainly used as a personal retreat; it is however fully set up to operate as a successful tourist business.
The island would be an excellent location to set up the first dive shop in the area, or indeed a sport fishing business. Kayaking, fishing, snorkeling, swimming at the white sand beach, all included.
We offer fresh lobster, fish and jumbo shrimp meals.

During your stay, you have the whole island for yourself and your group.
We do offer boat excursions to neighboring islands at no extra cost.

We have been operating since 2008; we were the first tourist business in the Pearl cays. Hope you stay with us.

The Beautiful Sea is everywhere - Idyllic
The Beautiful Sea is everywhere - Idyllic
Pink Pearl Island is located in the Pearl the Cays in front of Calala island. If you LOVE the sea this is the place to be!. The location of the island is optimal, you can see and hear the sea from the master bedroom, and living kitchen area. The cabins are located right on the beach. It is so beautiful in the morning to wake up and take a long walk or a matinal jog throught the beach. A must for "sea lovers"!. The island is clean and well kept. The personel is extremely helpful and kind. Me and my sons fell in love with Pink Pearl Island, can’t wait to return there back soon! I highly recommend Pink Pearl island to anyone wanting a perfect vacation.

A lovely place to stay!
A lovely place to stay!
If you looking to go to a private Caribbean Island in Nicaragua and want some peace and quiet as well as a gorgeous beach, coral to snorkel around straight of the sand and a really amazing beachfront hotel then I highly recommend this place. The rooms are confortable, clean and on the beach. The food is really good and the beach is clean and lovely! They staff were able to answer every question I had, made me feel confident and comfortable. It was awesome! Pink Pearl Island is a little island but Nestor and Eric got us around to see neighboring islands and the area is very spectacular. Snorkeling was great, we got to see many colorful fish. The next day we went fishing and it was a lot of fun. The guys and girls on the island are good company and very friendly. Loved to go to sleep with the sound of the waves. Yes, it was definitely one of our favorite spots...Truly a great place. I wish I was still there. I can return in heartbeat.

Poorly organized trip so we never reached the island! Poor communication.
Poorly organized trip so we never reached the island! Poor communication.
Unfortunately, we had a number of issues with our trip not only prevented us from experiencing the island but also prevented us from creating a back-up plan. 1. We had a group of 10 people and the boat they organized for us was too small to transport us effectively. We had to cut our luggage down which we were happy to do and after 30 minutes, we turned back to port to find another boat. Unfortunately, the back-up boat was only marginally bigger then our first boat and the engine power was much less than the first. After another 30 min, we turned around back to land with the crew claiming the police called them stating unsafe conditions. There was no phone call, I was facing the crew the entire time, this was frustrating. No back-up plan and lying about why we could not go out. It was known well in advance that we had 10 people and appropriate transportation should have been arranged. 2. The crew stated that they would have a back-up plan within an hour, for another try to the island the following day. We explained we needed a quick response so we might try to book flights out, if they could not organize another way to the island. They took several hours to get back to us and ignored repeated calls. While waiting for their response, we were by the dock, and again noted many boats going out to sea. The weather was good the entire time. 3. When we finally heard from the crew, they did not have an adequate plan but unfortunately they had responded so late that the flights that were previously available were no longer available. So unfortunately, we were not able to create a backup plan to recover the rest of the trip and instead wasted the end part of our trip. In addition to this, we were forced to find and pay for the back-up hotel. A very frustrating experience in general, especially given how much we spent. I'm sure the island would have been great to experience but the lack of planning, foresight and communication ruined what would have been a great trip. The lack of communication prevented us from creating a back-up plan to get out of Bluefields to experience something else in Nicaragua. It has been sometime since our trip and still awaiting a refund. There has been no compensation at all offered for the time wasted or the cost of the hotels we paid as back-up. I hope this doesn't occur to anyone else.

Overwhelming and Fantastic Experience!!
Overwhelming and Fantastic Experience!!
Overwhelming and Fantastic Experience!! What a great experience! The pictures are great but there is not a picture that you can take that will capture the wonderful spirit of the staff of PINK PEARL ISLAND RESORT. We travelled as a family (7 adults + 2 babies) and nothing was too difficult for these caring and down to earth people. This is more than a destination, it is an EXPERIENCE! Great isolated location, awesome amenities, extremely clean, 4 magnificent cabins and super friendly staff. I will never forget this vacation!!! Thanks to Pedro Nestor Shan Dargga and the entire team at Pink Pearl Island for making this the best time of my life! We can’t recommend Pink Pearl Island enough and have already started to plan our next trip back!

Unforgettable - Eco friendly with natural beauty
Unforgettable - Eco friendly with natural beauty
The island is calm, relaxing, beautiful and with natural beauty. One of the finest white sand beaches we have ever seen. It was clean and the service was good. We arrived to the Bluefields airport first ad then by private boat to the island. The ride was a little over an hour and the boat ride through the river is scenic and reminds you of a green jungle. The last 20 minutes we crossed to the Caribbean ocean and in the Pearl cays and the scenery looks like Fiji or the Maldives. The Nicaraguan Pearl islands are coral reef islands with sand beaches and tall coconut trees. Nestor Armando and Dargga were kind and helpful. We would recommend it to anyone that loves the Caribbean and wants to have a whole private island to themselves. Ann and Jim

Best Kept Secret Paradise Island
Best Kept Secret Paradise Island
Stunning nature and beach! We stayed here for 2 days,on August 2017 The place itself and the beach are really beautiful. I would say it is the most beautiful beach on the whole Nicaragua. Definitely not a luxury resort, but very close to nature and affordable. The best thing I have to mention was the food. It was excellent!! We got to try a fresh coconut right off the palm tree! Overall, our stay was great. It was sunny and we got some rain, not a lot, it was always warm and nice we enjoyed the constant nice breeze. We really enjoyed it. My daughter loved it, he told all her friends in school about it. May be we can come back next year. Affordable and close to the US.

It was supposed to be an overnight stay but I only experienced a couple of hours
I was looking forward to a total island experience but sadly I didn't get to stay overnight due to bad weather conditions. On both Tuesday and Wednesday (we travelled to the island on Wednesday) zarpe boat permits were not issued by the coast guards. No sailing from Bluefields was allowed, not even up the river. (The journey I experienced took an hour through the river and approximately another hour and a half on the Caribbean Sea to Pink Pearl Island). I have confirmation from boat owners in Bluefields and Big corn island that the weather was too dangerous. Bad winds and high waves were forecast. The team, and the agent contact that I had, persuaded the coast guard to allow us access to the island - but we only got permission for the afternoon only. I was told to have a lunch and a couple of hours to explore then we must return before bad weather, the latest we must get back was 3.30pm. So, sadly I can't add any detail of how it felt staying overnight on a small island. I discovered later that these seas can be dangerous- there have been deaths in 2016 on these waters between Big Corn island and Little Corn island. The passengers as far as I know were Costa Ricans. So just be careful. Obviously I was travelling in the rainy season so it was very unfortunate. As you cam imagine I'm disappointed as I travelled all the way from South Africa to view this island, possibly to buy and obviously to stay overnight. If you get to experience a whole night and you're not fighting against the rain and the bad weather then I'm sure it will be an amazing experience.
